WEALTH WEDNESDAY: Wanted to take the time update y'all on Gold considering we should hopefully see a dramatic change in it's free market value! Here are some highlights from the podcast... 1. 25% tariffs 2. 200 point declines 3. Dow/s&p down 5.5% during May 4. We are in a bear market with big rally’s 5. Fed keeps rescuing the market by taking rate hits off the table 6. Longest bull market in history 7. Bear market = false hope (aka trap) with new highs but they couldn’t sustain them 8. Going to revisit those lows, Fed is gonna come back but will have to do something 9. Next week maybe drop a few basis points 10. If longer might just go down to interest rates might just go down to zero 11. Not even QE should save this (too much air which will destroy the dollar) 12. Previous gold high dollar low, now gold low dollar high 13. The recession is going to be stagflation (meaning inflation goes up) which means bond prices are going to fall 14. No refinancing you home 15. Going to be worse than Great Recession which was worse than Great Depression but with inflation 16. Bonds that were bought during GR was simply monetizing the debt, wasn’t temporary 17. Bonds turn into money and not sold, will make massive inflation 18. MOTIVATION MONDAY: I feel like we all end up in this place mentally at some point in time. You start working in a new industry, you create your first business or you even beginning learning a new hobby. Then you meet someone who is the same age as you or younger and you start getting mad at yourself because you aren't as good or talented as them. Don't do it! It's not worth it for us to compare ourselves to others simply because of our age. Look at the amount of years of experience you have and be patient during the process. FINANCIAL WELLNESS: We know you'd never, even shop at a dollar store let alone be caught in one. Well, we are here to tell you to screw that mentality and get your ass in a dollar store as soon as possibly can. From poster boards for garage sale signs, birthday & Mother's Day cards, kitty litter, batteries, toiletries, you name it! You've got to replace some of your grocery store items with items at a dollar store and start saving some money to pay off debt or to reinvest it into your own business.
ENVIRONMENTAL WELLNESS: We know we recommend that everyone get outside during the day, but what if you just killed two birds with one stone and took your cubicle to the outdoors? A lawn chair, side table and a coffee is all you need to stay focused while taking in nature at a passive level.
WELLNESS WEDNESDAY: As we get older, partake in social drinking and fall into the trap of drinking too much, there comes a day when you usually say to yourself "I will never drink again!" But sure enough, a few days, weeks, months later you're back at it again thinking you can drink as much as you want and still wake up the next day to do your workouts, eat right, etc. We are here to tell you that as long as you are self-aware about how many drinks you can handle (ours is one double of whiskey per day max), what type of drink you can have at that ratio and then implement it, you can take control of your wellness everyday no matter how many nights you go out to drink.
TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY: We know it's been forever, but we are back to attack baby and we are entering into the third installment of the #365experiment which has been eye opening and frustrating at the same time. We are going to focus in on our physical wellness for this podcast because we feel like it will add the most value, but we will definitely mention other types of wellnesses as the weeks go on.
EMOTIONAL WELLNESS: We know it's a strange topic to talk about, but it's a reality that everyone has to deal with whether you're the aggressive driver or you're a passive/slow driver dealing with aggressive driving. We want to give you some hacks we use to elevate the aggressive driving around you and we hope it adds enough value to you where you are able to relieve yourself of any stress from driving with other aggressive drivers.
SPIRITUAL WELLNESS: We all know those bad apples, especially growing up, but what do you do when one of them comes after you in the work place, in a relationship or at home? We know the first step is being empathetic to them, but if you are an employer, how do you make sure this type of toxicity doesn't affect the rest of the culture?
SOCIAL WELLNESS: I know it sounds ridiculous, but even normal, everyday people can have stalkers. There are places we go all the time, relationships we didn't even know that we were building and impressions that we make on people daily that can cause a certain amount of affection and intimacy. Sure enough, one day that person might come up to you and express those types of desires for you and completely shock you. So what do you do? How do you react? What do you say?
FINANCIAL WELLNESS: There are things in our lives that we have to pay for sometimes, but there are also some things that we have a natural interest in so why not try to learn it especially when it can save you some money. From getting licensed to buy your own investment property or life insurance to changing your cars oil or cutting your own hair, there's definitely something we can all do in our daily life to save some money. Hell, even making our own food could be one for some of us!
OCCUPATIONAL WELLNESS: A lot of us take promotions, add a part-time job or pick up a new gig with the anticipation of simply having more pay, but what about all the other aspects of your wellness? Does it truly give you a better quality of life? We discuss this topic in-depth and recommend that any one evaluate a future job or re-evaluate their current one by checking off all the different types of wellness and what it truly does to you other than add a few zeros to your bank account. WEALTH WEDNESDAY: No, this isn't Tech Tuesday, but it's actually a new type of investment that you could be a part of as early as 2020. It's Tesla's Robotaxi and Elon Musk went through the in's and out's on how it'll work. Like Uber/Airbnb, you'll be able to add your Tesla to their network and have it drive others while you sit at home at sleep our on vacation. It's an amazing approach to what a car could be and could inevitably fit into the category of an investment property, owning a business or even buying gold. MOTIVATION MONDAY: We all have dreams and entrepreneur tendencies, but there's also that voice in the back of our heads that gives us just enough excuses not to try to achieve them. Well, we've got a great solution to your problem...you can always get a day job! Yes, whatever excuse you may be using to not jump all in or simply try whatever hustle you've been thinking about trying, just remember that there are always jobs to be had. The truth of the matter is, there are not always opportunities for you to try being your own boss or starting your first business; those days are numbered for sure. So don't tell yourself you can't sacrifice losing your one and only day job because there's always another day job out there.
SPIRITUAL WELLNESS: Obviously, this doesn't apply to everything, but when talking about keeping standards, ethics and values while helping execute a vision, I think this phrase is key. It helps you keep your employer mind state out of the mix and keep you focused on the task at hand which is normally what an employees needs to do to get the job done.
SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY: We discuss a question one of our listeners asked which basically said "Hey, what's this 'passive income' I keep thinking about?" It's a great question and we talk in-depth on the introduction to it to making thousands of dollars a month doing it.
FINANCIAL FRIDAY: We discuss some ideas pulled from Robert Kiyosaki and the idea of what it means to be financially free. The main concept is having more money coming in than going out, but we try to unravel it a little more in this shorter 10 minute long podcast.
ENVIRONMENTAL WELLNESS: Today we journey to the Yorba Regional Park in Anaheim, CA. It's a place we've definitely been to before, but not to exercise/walk so we walk the full distance of the park while describing what you can expect if you go there!
WELLNESS WEDNESDAY: We took some time to update y'all about the wellness of SoCalQOL, what we are excited about and how our wellness has helped us stay positive instead of complaining about problems and disappointments.
