Listen to the latest Sky is Blue podcast from the Spireites Podcast.
Was this a good season - yes undoubtedly but it could have been just that one step better with a trip to Wembley and who knows what result??The guys round off the season knowing that Wimbledon got there and a teary eyed Walsall keeper just missed out. Karma is just a ...............
The guys get together before what could be the last game of the season - or is it??Whatever happens at Accrington, a great return to the EFL for the Spireites and a season to look back on with pride.Come on you Blues!!
Listen to the latest Podcast from our usual 4 man team, covering all the latest news, results and opinion from our CFC
This is the mid-transfer window special where speculation is rife and assumptions are made. Expect transfers in and out by the time this podcast is published and listened to!
An update from the usual pod gang on the latest CFC related performances since game 10 of this season. This episode is dedicated to Nigel Goodlad after his very sad passing and thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
League football is well and truly back at the SMH Group Stadium and the 10 game mark has now passed and is reviewed in full by the usual team of Podcasters.
Pre Season is well and truly over and the Spireites have returned in stunning form to the EFL. The 4 podcasters give their views and forecasts for the next stage of the Club's plan to succeed in this new league.
Listen to the discussions between the usual 4 podcasters as we update the close season player arrivals and begin very early preparations for a new start in the EFL
A fantastic season comes to a close with records galore broken and a Championship won to send CFC back to the EFL and leave behind the National League after 6 long years. The usual team go back and highlight many memories from the last season and look ahead to the promise of league football and try to predict the success hopoefully coming our way.
After a brief (ish) behind the scenes interlude, the podcasters return for their take on what is now almost certainly going to be a memorable and potentially record breaking season. Not many clouds on the horizon at the minute but this is CFC we are talking about. so nothing is yet certain or taken for granted.Come on you Blues!!
A different podcast from Paul Fisher (with guests!) presenting a behind the scenes special before the Southend record breaking home game.
The Cookball bandwagon rolls on with only few and temporary blips on the way back to the promised land of EFL Division 2.Our usual podcasters are back with analysis, comment and enthusiasm to dissect the games played since the last pod in November last year.
The usual foursome make a welcome return with the Club top of the league, still in the FA Cup and unbeaten for so long who can still remember that feeling of defeat coming away from Altrincham!Still plenty to review and forecast ahead to what we all hope is a season for the record books.
The first podcast of the new season, 8 games in and a galore of goals to report on. Fortunately the number scored is far more than conceded so a points tally of well over 2 per game puts us level at the top of the League. Now for getting back to top spot and staying there!
Another new season dawns and the big question is asked - will this be our last in the National League? We are everyone's favourite to win the title but football isn't like that. If it was we would simply let the bookies and pundits decide the outcome before a ball is kicked.Twists and turns are on the way, but in Cookie we trust (still) and we are strapping in for the ride to the EFL. Long overdue but Wrexham waited far longer and needed Hollywood to get them over the line. The usual boys discuss what lies ahead for the Spireites in their first pop of the season.
You thought it was all over after Wembley - it is now!The usual podcasters decide that an open air, all together discussion would be a great way to end and review a great season of football at CFC. If only Wembley had been decided in normal time, or even extra, but the heartache of penalties now needs to fade into the distance as the close season starts with plans being made for a new season.
That's right - WEMBLEY 2023 - it's time for the Blues to take that one final step this season and end the recent years of frustration and get back into the EFL. Notts County will have a different view of course but they are now all that stands in our way to a new horizon.COTB
The usual gang returns for an update on a great season so far. The top two may be beyond reach, but the battle for 3rd spot continues and the end is now in sight.Come on you Blues!!
The latest delivery from the usual team pondering over another set of below average performances in an otherwise great season. A points tally any other year would see the Spireites probably top the league table but the frontrunners Wrexham and Notts County seem to be unstoppable.
It's New Year's Eve already and time to look back at the progress made by CFC in 2022 which ends in pretty much the same fashion as it started. FA Cup 4th round tie to look forward to and completing at the top end of a very tough division. Different Manager and different gravy as the saying goes!
Let's catch up with the usual foursome discussing all things Spireites. A great Christmas episode and essential listening if you are a true blue!
What a great start to the season playing cookball, and as at the time of publishing this episode there is a slight cloud on the horizon as Kabby may be Brum bound but we will wait and see.Notwithstanding this possible "blip" things are much rosier for the Spireites and the future looks bright.
The usual lads look forward to a brand new season with Paul Cook in charge from the start and already with 11 new signings to digest and develop. What a season we have in store (hopefully!)
Never a dull minute at Cfc is there! The usual team discuss everything from Chelsea to a Manager in this new episode.
This could be a once in a generation episode with the guys discussing the FA Cup 3rd round tie against the current European Champions Chelsea being played at Stamford Bridge this Saturday the 8th January.
Christmas special from the Gang of Four celebrating being top of the league in the midst of more COVID challenges. Also anticipating an away cup fixture at the home of the current European Champions which is a phrase we had not expected to use in many a year!
The latest from the lads talking through an exceptional start to the current season so far.
This is the final podcast of the 2021 season so badly interrupted by Covid but so nearly the most successful on the pitch. Thank you to all listeners who have followed on whatever platform, and here's to an even more successful new season coming.
Another instalment from the guys now anticipating the National League playoffs
With special guest Liam Northcliffe from the Derbyshire Times, another must listen to episode from the regular CFC Podcasters hosted by Phil Tooley & Co

Welcome to what feels like our first podcast for three years that doesn't herald the appointment of another manager. Enjoy our cautiously optimistic tone.
Most self-respecting podcasts come out once a month. At "Sky is Blue," we bring a new one out once a manager. Welcome back, John Sheridan!
