I sit down with AJ McQueen for a deeply honest conversation about trauma, masculinity, faith, and self-acceptance. AJ shares how violence, heartbreak, and survival shaped his early life, and how learning radical acceptance became the turning point in his growth as a man. We talk about sex, discipline, purpose, boundaries, and why so many men live stuck in survival mode. This is a raw, reflective discussion about becoming grounded, choosing yourself, and learning how to live with integrity.SHOW HIGHLIGHTS00:00 - Introduction and Meeting AJ01:00 - Heartbreak as a Catalyst for Growth05:10 - Sex, Addiction, and Masculinity10:00 - Growing Up Around Violence16:20 - Defining Manhood and Fatherhood21:15 - Autonomy, Boundaries, and Self-Respect28:45 - Saying No and Taking Back Control35:15 - Trauma, Gifts, and Acceptance40:30 - Confidence Through Radical Acceptance48:25 - Survival Mode vs Self-Understanding53:30 - Enoughness and Self-Worth01:01:10 - Travel, Perspective, and Expansion01:06:20 - Faith, Spirituality, and Service01:12:30 - Closing Reflections and Gratitude***Tired of feeling like you're never enough? We begin our new three part series “Guess who died 2025” with Gang of Four's 1979 post-punk classic "Entertainment!" (RIP Dave Allen). In this particularly riveting episode, we discuss what time, exactly, is the best time. Is it 5:45pm? Is it 9:45am? Some other time that doesn't involve 45? Who knows! We also discuss Sara Lee's product line, are visited by a magical vacuum, and Christopher introduces a new segment called The Maynard Constant (or Maynard In The Middle). It really gave us all meegraine.Hey remember when Sharon roasted that pie? You remember 2021, right?

Make Europe Great Again en BNR Beurs slaan de handen ineen. Waardoor we dus flinke investeringen gaan zien.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In the mid-1860s, the goldfields and bush tracks of New South Wales were ruled by one of Australia's most notorious outlaw groups: the Ben Hall Gang. Led by the charismatic and deeply divisive Ben Hall, the gang carried out a daring string of robberies that humiliated police, terrified settlers, and turned bushranging into front-page news. But this was no romantic Robin Hood tale. As pressure mounted and the government introduced brutal new laws to crush the outlaws, the violence escalated. Betrayals followed, loyalties fractured, and the line between legend and reality blurred beyond recognition. In this episode, we trace the rise and fall of the Ben Hall Gang — the robberies, the manhunts, the myths, and the bloody end that cemented their place in Australian history. It's a story of mateship, desperation, and a colony determined to make an example of its most famous criminals.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/weird-crap-in-australia--2968350/support.

Top Stories for December 27th Publish Date: December 27th PRE-ROLL: Sugar Hill Ice Skating From the BG AD Group Studio Welcome to the Gwinnett Daily Post Podcast. Today is Saturday, December 27th and Happy Birthday to Mick Jones I’m Peyton Spurlock and here are your top stories presented by Gwinnett KIA Mall of Georgia. Rising costs for insurance, with reports of refusals to pay claims, could spur legislation Georgia DOT suspends lane closures for the holidays Grayson man gets 80-year prison sentence for robbery-turned-murder All of this and more is coming up on the Gwinnett Daily Post podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen daily and subscribe! Break 1: Kia Mall of Georgia STORY 1: Rising costs for insurance, with reports of refusals to pay claims, could spur legislation Insurance costs are climbing, and people are fed up. Policyholders say they’re paying more for less—claims denied, delays dragging on for months. Meanwhile, insurers aren’t exactly thrilled with Georgia either. The state ranked dead last in profitability for insurance companies last year. “Less competition means higher prices,” said Robert Hoyt from UGA’s Terry College of Business. At a final hearing in Gwinnett, lawmakers heard it all: auto repair shops battling insurers, marathoners denied prosthetics, and frustrated customers paying out of pocket. Rep. Matt Reeves says change is coming. “We’ll be looking at prices, profits, and penalties. It’s overdue.” STORY 2: Georgia DOT suspends lane closures for the holidays With the holidays here, there’s a little gift from GDOT: no lane closures on major roads, interstates, or near shopping spots. From Dec. 23 at 6 a.m. to Dec. 28 at 10 p.m., and again Dec. 31 at 5 a.m. to Jan. 2 at 5 a.m., you’ll get a smoother ride. But don’t zone out—crews might still be working, and emergencies? Yeah, those closures can still happen. Stay sharp, watch for signs, and be extra careful near work zones. Need updates? Check the 511GA app or GDOT’s website. Safe travels, and happy holidays! STORY 3: Grayson man gets 80-year prison sentence for robbery-turned-murder A 20-year-old from Grayson, known on the streets as “Draino,” will spend the rest of his life—and then some—behind bars. Adrian Synclare Johnson was convicted last Friday on nearly two dozen charges, including murder and racketeering, for his role in the February killing of 24-year-old Gerryon Ceasor during a botched drug robbery. The sentence? Two life terms (one without parole) plus 20 years. “Gang violence won’t be tolerated,” said DA Patsy Austin-Gatson. Prosecutors say Johnson and six others planned to rob Ceasor of his Draco pistol. Shots were fired. Ceasor didn’t survive. The others await trial. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.874.3200 for more info. We’ll be right back Break 2: Ingles Markets STORY 4: Polar Vortex Is Strengthening: What It Means For GA Winter Temps Georgia’s Christmas forecast? It was warm. And, according to The Weather Channel, this unseasonably toasty trend is sticking around through March. Why? A strong polar vortex. Sounds intense, right? But here’s the twist: the stronger it is, the less it messes with us. Instead of icy blasts, we’re looking at above-average temps across the South, especially in February. Meanwhile, the North gets the cold and wet. La Niña vibes, basically—warm down here, chilly up there. So, enjoy the sunshine, Georgia. Winter’s taking it easy. STORY 5: Georgia swears in its youngest state representative At just 21, Ali’s already making waves. Youngest lawmaker in Georgia’s history? Check. Youngest Democratic state rep in the country? Also check. But he’s quick to brush off the titles. “First and foremost, I’m a brother, a son, and your neighbor,” he says. Ali’s story mirrors his district’s—immigrant parents, humble beginnings, and a relentless climb. “We went from eating white rice every night to owning a home,” he recalls. That shaped him. His journey into politics started young, sparked by threats to his community’s mosque. Now, he’s building bridges, lowering costs, and proving age doesn’t define leadership. We’ll be right back. Break 3: DTL HOLIDAY INTERVIEW - Lorraine Green STORY 6: Metro Atlanta man accused of cheating people out of almost $1 million by selling bogus UGA tickets A 43-year-old Alpharetta man, Matthew Neet, is accused of pulling off a nearly $1 million scam that targeted college football fans and investors. Fake tickets, bogus investments—he allegedly promised it all, but delivered nothing. Prosecutors say Neet offered hard-to-get UGA football tickets (think Alabama, Texas matchups) and pitched timberland projects in Costa Rica. The catch? None of it was real. Instead, he pocketed $943,000 from over two dozen victims. Neet’s been charged with wire fraud and waived indictment. The FBI’s still digging, and prosecutors are ready to take him on. STORY 7: ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ cast member Kandi Burruss stars in ‘& Juliet’ on Broadway Kandi Burruss is taking her talents to Broadway. Yep, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star and Grammy-winning artist joined the cast of & Juliet on Dec. 11 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in New York. She’s stepping into the role for a limited run through March 8, 2026, following TikTok sensation Cheryl Porter. The show? A playful twist on Romeo & Juliet—what if Juliet didn’t, you know, end it all over Romeo? Burruss, a 14-season RHOA veteran, adds this to her packed résumé: singer, songwriter, producer, restaurateur, and now Broadway star. We’ll have closing comments after this Break 4: GCPS Hiring Signoff – Thanks again for hanging out with us on today’s Gwinnett Daily Post Podcast. For 75 years, Charles Schultz's Peanuts gang has reflected our humor and hope, as well as our struggle to navigate some of life's everyday curveballs. How is it that the characters he created so poignantly reflect how we experience other people and the world around us? And why do a ragtag group of comic strip kids who debuted in newspapers in 1950 post-war America, still resonate with children and adults around the world? Andrew Blauner, author of “THE PEANUTS PAPERS: Writers and Cartoonists on Charlie Brown, Snoopy & the Gang, and the Meaning of Life,” sat down with USA TODAY's The Excerpt to discuss the 75th anniversary of the Peanuts gang and its enduring impact. Ep. 52 - The Paranormal Rundown welcomes Randy as a new co-host & discussion on why we do this podcast.Welcome to episode 52 of The Paranormal Rundown! The Gang of Nerds wishes you a Very Merry Christmas! 2025 has been a year full of exciting guests, deep conversations, and a fair amount of change for the podcast. We have covered a wide range of topics, such as Bigfoot Abductions, PSI, Cryptid Clowns, Consciousness & Reality, Remote Viewing, Machine Elves, Quantum Immortality, Lycanthropy, and so much more. However, this season has not been without it's challenges, but we have kept going, trying to bring you discussions that take you way down the rabbit hole. The biggest change this year has been in our co-hosts. Sadly, we lost JJ due to a serious lack of available time in his schedule. We have also had to soldier on without Fr. Mike several times, due to some serious health issues that we hope will be resolved over the next couple of months. But we have some great news, our repeat guest Randy has agreed to join the gang as a permanent member! This episode is all about welcoming him to the team, and then a little discussion about why we do this podcast. We think you will agree that Randy is a fantastic addition. He has some serious knowledge in science, medicine, biology, and more, and a true inquisitive love of the paranormal. As you will hear in the episode, just like every other member of the Rundown, he has his own beliefs, life experiences, and paranormal background. We love the fact that he is not a carbon copy of any of the rest of us, and we cant wait to see all of the unique ideas he brings to the show! Now we move on to 2026. We want you to know how much we love doing this podcast. It really is a passion for each of us, one that we put a lot of time and energy into so that you can enjoy. Our goal for 2026 is to really grow our audience. We have never spent any real time promoting the show, or even asking our listeners to do so. We have lots of plans for the future, and we are looking for your help. In the last few years, Sweden's gang wars have erupted into a brutal battlefield of shootings, bombings, and shifting allegiances even worse than the decade before. At the center is the Kurdish Fox, a shadowy figure who built his gang Foxtrot into the most formidable drug network in the entire country, all while not even living in Sweden. Using encrypted chats to recruit teenage gunmen, he sent Sweden's murder rate soaring. But when he took out his right hand man's own mother, it led to a civil war the likes of which Stockholm had never seen. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Directed by West Virginia's finest filmmaker, Jason Campbell, the yearly updates to the HANK'S CHRISTMAS WISH saga show the series becoming increasingly meta and disjointed. Although it's clear the HANK films are meant to be lighthearted, silly romps, as Campbell fanatics we found ourselves distracted by the confusing lore updates in this entry. For instance, is the titular character Hank actually an elf, or just a human who transracially identifies as one? The series long implied he had magical abilities, but HANK 3 reveals that Hank was a human orphan rescued by Santa as a boy. This unfortunately undercuts the entire plot of HANK 2, which focused heavily on racial tensions between elves and snowmen, a conflict that feels pointless if Hank is the Rachel Dolezal of elfdom. Elvis's relationship with Santa is even more bewildering. Flashbacks show Elvis living at the North Pole as the "third" of Santa and Mrs. Claus, yet when he appears in the present he is described as "a ghost." If ELVIS LIVES, as the title proudly announces, why would he be a ghost? Alive or dead, we're at least lucky Elvis is able to save Christmas. The central conflict involves a biker gang hired to bring "edge" to the town Christmas parade, who secretly plan to sabotage it by burning the tree and tearing down decorations. Gang leaders Slider and Onyx kidnap Hank, but Elvis appears to Slider and convinces him not to commit kristallnacht against Christians. This resolves the plot in roughly 25 minutes, leaving the rest of the film as random and inconsequential meditations on Christmas. Ultimately, HANK'S CHRISTMAS WISH 3 is refreshing because it is a Christian film more interested in having fun than evangelizing, but the confusing writing fries the brain instead of warming the heart. Mariah Carey once lived under constant surveillance in her own home. Her husband planted cameras and recording devices around their prison-like mansion to watch her every move. He hired armed guards to follow her everywhere but the bathroom – the same armed guards who nearly shot Mariah's collaborators when she unexpectedly dipped for a 30-minute joy ride. Despite her record-breaking five-octave pipes, Mariah Carey didn't didn't have a voice in her relationship for years. And when she did finally speak up to get a divorce, that's when her husband's stalking ended…and his sabotage on her career began. It's the final Energy Gang of the year, and host Ed Crooks is joined by regulars Amy Myers Jaffe, Director of NYU's Energy, Climate Justice and Sustainability Lab, Shanu Mathew, a portfolio investor and manager, and Melissa Lott, a systems engineer and energy analyst, to take stock of an exciting year for energy. The buzzword of 2025 was undoubtedly AI. Data centres transformed the outlook for power demand, and rising electricity prices put pressure on a new US administration that is determined to focus on affordability. As the shockwaves from advances in AI spread out across the industry, everyone started talking about “bring your own power” and flexible loads on the grid. Meanwhile battery deployment soared, as businesses looked for solutions to the challenges raised by variable renewable generation and rising demand. The crew discuss permitting reform in the US, congestion pricing for cars in New York – one of the more positive stories of the year – and exciting times for nuclear power. The reality of new nuclear technologies was the subject of intense debate in 2025. Does the future of nuclear power really lie in small modular reactors, or do more established proven designs actually have a better chance to accelerate deployment? Join us for the hot topics that shaped energy in 2025, and will keep on making headlines in 2026.The article on air pollution reduction referenced by Ed and Melissa you can find here: https://news.cornell.edu/stories/2025/12/congestion-pricing-improved-air-quality-nyc-and-suburbsBooks mentioned on the show include: Breakneck: China's quest to engineer the future by Dan WangHouse of Huawei: The secret history of China's most powerful companyby Eva DouConsumed: How big brands got us hooked on plastic by Saabira ChaudhuriWe hope you have a great holiday season and a very happy New Year. The Game Awards have come and gone, leaving in its wake a whirlwind of game announcements, release date reveals, and fresh perspectives on our industry. Indeed, there's something for everyone, a draw for all comers. For starters, what's new? Two Star Wars offerings, Larian's secret Divinity project, Jonathan Blow's long-awaited Order of the Sinking Star, a sequel to Remedy's Control, Toshihiro Nagoshi's anticipated Yakuza rival Gang of Dragon, two Tomb Raider games in the form of a remake and something unseen, a Cyberpunk-like called NO LAW, and even Mega Man 12 -- well, Mega Man Dual Override, anyway -- to keep Colin fed, and more beyond that. And new looks, too, at PlayStation games like Saros and 4:LOOP, as well as Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, Exodus, and Phantom Blade 0. And then there are the awards themselves, and the pomp and circumstance, and... well... there's a lot to discuss! Plus, we have all of the non-TGA happenings from the past week, too. PlayStation Wrap-Up is live, Deviation's cancelled second party shooter has leaked, London Studio's cancelled multiplayer game has seemingly reemerged under a new team, Call of Duty might be in trouble, and so on.
