https://teachhoops.com/ WIN THE SEASON In the heart of January, the focus of scouting shifts from general team identity to the granular details that win conference championships. By this point in the season, teams have established their core rotations and preferred offensive sets, making it the ideal time to build a "book" on opponent tendencies. Coaches should prioritize identifying not just who the best players are, but what those players prefer to do in high-pressure situations—such as whether a lead guard always drives right or if the primary shooter only hunts catches in the corners. Transitioning from non-conference play to the grind of the conference schedule requires this elevated level of preparation to ensure your team isn't surprised by familiar foes. A critical component of mid-season scouting is the "Crunch Time" analysis. By January, every team has a go-to action they fall back on when the game is on the line. As a coach, your scouting report must deconstruct these late-game patterns: does the opponent run a specific continuity ball screen, or do they look for a clear-out isolation for their leading scorer? Understanding these "must-have" plays allows you to implement specific defensive "kills" during practice. Instead of just scouting the system, you are scouting the execution under stress, which provides your players with the confidence needed to execute a game-winning stop when the standings are at stake. Finally, January scouting is about the balance between live observation and deep film study. While film provides the data, live scouting allows you to see the "bench energy," how a coach communicates with their players during timeouts, and the physical demeanor of a team when they are trailing. Use this month to refine your scouting workflow by involving your assistants in specialized breakdowns—one focusing on individual personnel while another dissects out-of-bounds plays and special situations. This comprehensive approach ensures that by the time the post-season tournament arrives, your team is the most prepared group on the floor, having already seen and solved the opponent's best looks. How to Trade Stocks and Options Podcast by 10minutestocktrader.com
Are you looking to save time, make money, and start winning with less risk? Then head to https://www.ovtlyr.com.Alright, here's a quick, real-world US Investing Championship update straight from an actual trading day. No hype, no overproduction, and definitely no forcing trades just to stay busy. This video is about walking through what's actually on the board, what stayed open, and why sometimes the smartest move is doing absolutely nothing.I kick things off by running through the current trades we already have on. Even after a long day of travel, the process stays the same. Check the structure, check the trend, look for exit signals, and make sure nothing has changed that would justify closing or rolling a position. In this case, there were no order blocks in the way, no breakdowns, and no reason to interfere with trades that are still behaving exactly how they should. One thing that comes up a lot is why a position might look negative at first glance. That's where context matters. Some of these trades have already been rolled, and partial profits were booked earlier. So while the screen might show red in one spot, that does not reflect the full picture. This is how real trading works when you manage positions instead of gambling on single outcomes. We also take a live look at the $50,000 real-money account being used for the US Investing Championship. That part matters. This is not theory or paper trading. The account started at $50,000 and is now sitting a little over $52,000, which puts it around a 5% gain year to date. That's right in line with what disciplined, repeatable trading should look like early in the year.Midway through the video, the focus shifts to market conditions. Fear and greed pulled back slightly, and that small contraction was enough to keep new trades off the table for the day. That might sound boring, but it's actually a big deal. When sentiment tightens, forcing trades usually does more harm than good. Patience is a position too. Here's what you'll see covered in this update:✅ A fast walkthrough of current open trades and why they stayed open✅ Why no new trades were added even though some stocks were moving✅ A live check-in on the $50,000 US Investing Championship account✅ How rolling trades and partial profits affect what you see on screen✅ What market breadth and sector strength are starting to hint atLater on, I talk about what's starting to get interesting under the surface. Industrials and materials are now showing stronger relative readings compared to the broader market. That doesn't mean jumping in immediately, but it does mean those areas are moving higher on the watchlist. If conditions continue to improve, there's a real chance new setups start triggering soon. The big takeaway from this video is simple. Trading is not about predicting the next move. It's about following a plan, respecting signals, and staying disciplined when the market says “not yet.” Most of the edge comes from what you don't do.If you want more honest, real-time trading updates like this, make sure you're subscribed. Any trades that go on will always be shared transparently, including updates posted in the community. The guys go down a fascinating New York sports rabbit hole: how often does a coach or manager arrive here already owning a championship, and how rarely it actually turns into a title in New York. They land on Weeb Ewbank as the lone example of someone who won before coming to a New York team and then won again here, framing just how unique the John Harbaugh moment is for the Giants. Then the phones roll with Harbaugh hype, expectations for Year 1, and early buzz about what his staff could look like, including chatter around Todd Monken. The segment also takes a detour into classic New York fan trauma, comparing “can't miss” celebrations (Nets Big 3, Rodgers to the Jets) to why the Giants situation feels different. And of course, the Jets can't stay out of it: Dante Moore going back to school sparks a full blown debate about options, draft pressure, and what the organization should do at quarterback next.
The 8am hour of Thursday's Mac & Cube continued with Michael Niziolek, who covers Indiana for the Bloomington Herald-Times, tells McElroy & Cubelic when Indiana feels most comfortable in games, how comfortable the team is under pressure, and what he expects to see in the Championship game against Miami; then, Cole & Greg debate if updating the stadium or suites is smarter for the program; and later, listeners chime in with their thoughts on premium seating pricing in college football stadiums. "McElroy & Cubelic In The Morning" airs 7am-10am weekdays on WJOX-94.5!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Hour 1 opens with reaction to the Dolphins missing out on John Harbaugh, who signs with the Giants, sparking a debate over why Miami continues to struggle to land top head coaching candidates. Omar and Hollywood go back and forth on whether distractions, financial issues, and organizational structure make the Dolphins an unattractive job, plus what type of head coach the franchise should target moving forward. The focus then shifts to the Heat, where Ja Morant trade rumors spark debate over fit, risk, and whether Miami should consider moving Tyler Herro. The hour wraps with a look ahead to the national championship in Miami and whether the Hurricanes truly have a home-field advantage against Indiana.

Get ready for "Championship Cash" on Crimson Cash, where Scott and James are here for a gambling show ahead of the National Championship! Scott and James discuss the unbelievable run Indiana University has been on. James, an IU football fan since the 1987 Old Oaken Bucket game, admits he was convinced he would see Jesus return before IU ever won a national championship. For both Scott and James, this season's success, which includes getting to and winning a Big Ten title, is far beyond what they ever imagined. The episode gives shoutouts to sponsors Homefield Apparel and Posh Hotel in Bloomington. James gave a "Hoosier Hot Streak" pick earlier in the season, telling listeners to bet money on IU to win the national championship at plus 600 odds. When it comes to the game, the guys are focused on making some gambling money. They dive into the betting odds, including the spread, which started at five and a half and has been bet up to eight and a half, with tickets pouring in on the Hoosiers. They look at historical data showing favorites have not only covered the spread in the last five championship games but have covered in style. The public is heavily on the Hoosiers, with 76% to 78% of the tickets, meaning "Vegas really needs Miami".James likes the Hoosiers to cover the eight-and-a-half-point spread, predicting the team will "play joyless murder ball and destroy" Miami, breaking their will to live. The conversation also covers:Alternate spreads, with Scott liking IU at minus 13 and a half.Taking IU's third quarter spread at minus one and a half, as IU has "dominated the third quarter this year".Anytime touchdown scorers, with James liking Omar Cooper and Scott liking Nowakowski based on the odds. The importance of the first two drives of the game and how an early pick six could put an "unbelievable amount of doubt in Miami's head"Scott closes the show by expressing his emotions about seeing his team in a championship, and James notes he's not as nervous as he usually is for games. Scott offers advice for anyone going to Miami: "be early, be ready, be loud, and stay never daunted". Don't miss this one!
