Eileen Noyes is an author, speaker, mentor, podcast host at The Unsidelined Life, and founder of Lady Bellator. She lives in California with her husband and eight of their combined 15 children. Eileen journeyed through the limelight as a former pro-athlete's wife in the public eye, escaped cult involvement, established single motherhood to eight children and is now remarried and spearheading the Lady Bellator movement — helping women lost in the shuffle of family life find their identity, their voice and their sense of purpose once again. In her books Rise Up, Lady Bellator, Sidelined No More, Broken Chapters (a multi-author project), and her podcast, The Unsidelined Life, Eileen shares her passion, her wisdom and life lessons to bring a message of hope of God's redemption, faithfulness and power. Through her authorship, mentoring and podcast hosting, Eileen is lifting women—other Lady Bellators—to move past their limiting beliefs, fears and insecurities so they, too, can live in the fullness of who they're meant to be. Hello to you listening in Torino, Italy!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories With Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday and your host, Diane Wyzga.I spend 2 hours every Thursday afternoon with my wonderfully supportive, encouraging, questioning, criticizing, hot seating, creative MasterMind Group. Before we get together we exchange our 4Rs from the prior week detailing our Results, Reaches, Resistances and Resources.Ah, Resistance! Tricky is thy name. It's the step you don't want to take because you're afraid, bored, uncertain, anxious, tired, or just plain disgusted with it all. As the poet David Whyte reminds us: "We must start close in taking the first step - the one we don't want to take."Click HERE to listen to Whyte recite his own poem, Start Close In.If you're like me you've probably learned that the sooner you face up to your resistance and move toward your task or project the more confident you are likely to feel and perhaps begin asking yourself, “What took me so long?”Story Prompt: What was powerful, striking, exciting, maybe even liberating about the notion of taking that first step, the one close in? Now, where will you go? Write that story! And tell it out loud. Practical Tip: The magic of stories is also in the sharing. If you wish share your story with someone or something.   All that matters is you have a story. You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, bring your friends and rellies, and join us! You will have wonderful company as we continue to walk our lives together. Bevor wir gleich mit der Folge starten, habe ich noch eine Empfehlung für Dich. Diesmal in eigener Sache. You'll hear about the people who shaped his journey, the weird and wonderful moments only runners collect, and what “setback and comeback” looks like from the back of the pack. Kyle talks community, identity, and the quiet wins that matter more than PRs. There's practical advice for newer runners and a candid look at how the sport evolves alongside life. On this episode of The Karen Kenney Show, I talk about how our actions are the true voice of our heart.I share some real-life stories about human kindness, integrity, character, and choosing to do the right thing.Like the stranger who owned up to dinging my car, and the “dressing room angel” who helped me get ready for a funeral during an extra hard week, and my old childhood friend who remembered me as the kid who always shared her snacks!Together, we look at how our everyday actions reveal way more about the content of our character, than any fancy-schmancy spiritual talk ever could. The big takeaway and reminder from this episode for me - is that we all have countless chances every day to “do the right thing, right now”.So, I invite us all to listen to our Inner Teacher - that gentle voice of the heart - and let our behaviors and choices reflect who we truly are. ❤️KAREN KENNEY BIO:Karen Kenney is a certified Spiritual Mentor, Writer, Podcaster, and Coach. She's known for her dynamic storytelling, her sense of humor, her Boston accent, and her no-bullshit approach to spirituality, self-development, and transformational work. She's been a yoga teacher since 1999, and a Thai Yoga Massage practitioner since 2008.She's also a speaker, workshop + retreat leader, and a Certified Gateless Writing Instructor. Embracing the “Open” in Open Nesting (Season 6 | Episode 222) with Joy Rose (Season 6 | Episode 222) This week on the Open Nesters podcast, my co-host Amir and I had the absolute pleasure of revisiting a truly boundary-breaking conversation with the incredible Joy Rose. As an artist, activist, and the visionary founder of the Museum of Motherhood, Joy is a master at helping us deconstruct the heavy labels we carry and reclaim the narrative of our own lives. If you are currently navigating your own “Act Three,” this discussion is essential listening for finding your vitality and flipping the script on aging. We dove deep into the complex world of motherhood —to explore how this role often consumes our identity for decades. Joy shares the raw, honest truth about the “redundancy” many of us feel when our children grow older. It can be an almost impossible shift to move from the physical and emotional all-consumption of active parenting to a life where that role is no longer necessary in the same way. Joy's personal journey is a masterclass in finding the “self” at the center of the roles projected onto us. As her own four children have grown into their late twenties and thirties, she has had to learn the difficult art of adjustment, using tools like cultivating her own passions and finding serenity through spiritual programs like Al-Anon. One of the most striking parts of our talk was Joy's take on modern relationships and her rejection of traditional marriage. She spoke beautifully about seeking “great love”—the kind of love that pushes you out of your comfort zone and requires you to show up with integrity and consciousness. It was so illuminating to hear how she and her partner, despite being on opposite ends of the political spectrum, find deep connection through simple kindness and shared values. For those of you looking to explore these themes further, Joy is continuing her work by launching online classes through the Museum of Motherhood website. She encourages everyone, especially “women of a certain age,” to be brave, be expansive, and stop repeating patterns that no longer serve them. Whether it’s through art, study, or simply trying to live on your own, there are so many ways to “show up” for yourself in this new stage of life. We are so grateful to Joy for her wisdom and for helping us “unlabel” the judgments we often place on ourselves and others. As we move forward, I hope you'll join us in witnessing the growth of our families and ourselves with open hearts and fewer expectations. About Martha JOY Rose Martha JOY Rose, Founder, Executive Director, BFA, MALS with a Master's in Mother Studies. She is an award-winning artist and activist. Her pursuits have included academia, large-scale community gatherings, and she is the former lead singer of the band Housewives on Prozac. Joy is the NOW-NYC recipient of the Susan B. After the pandemic, I returned to cruising with Holland America Line, where I was a Cruise & Travel Director on their Grand Voyages. I circumnavigated Australia and New Zealand twice, South America once, cruised to Antarctica and up the Amazon River, as well as the usual Mediterranean and Northern Europe itineraries. Over the years of cruising, I've always written for newspapers and magazines (my first job was as a finance journalist at the Daily Mail), and I have just been elected to the board of the British Guild of Travel Writers. After leaving the Cruise & Travel Director role at Holland America I decided to launch a travel podcast, called Destination Unlocked, where I'm joined by a local expert in each episode to unlock their part of the world or travel style for my listeners.” Do you have a dream car? Hello to you listening in Bethesda, Maryland!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories With Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga. When I launched my communication consulting practice, Quarter Moon Story Arts, I established a uniquely forward-looking, story-based business founded on the power of story to profoundly and positively shift our awareness, our behavior, even our culture. Like magic, the sorcery of stories is this: they help each of us to be seen and heard, to understand and be understood. As the eldest of 7 children, an incest survivor, nurse, attorney, litigation consultant, and professional storyteller I had to teach myself again and again how to be seen, heard, understood, and listened to. How did I do that? I learned to tell my personal and professional stories in my own words with my own values in my own way. Always it was a now-or- never chance to become a stubbornly courageous speaker willing to give life to my authentic voice.  My mission is language. Language is power. Your stories, visions, ideas, and messages are powerful; but only if they are brought to life. What if you could tell the story that advances your business, creates clarity in life choices, persuades your clients, or produces effective results from your ideas?CTA: If you have a desire to say what you mean and mean what you say, come as you are and change inside Quarter Moon Story Arts.Book a Discovery Call and get your story going => Email me =>  Info@quartemoonstoryarts.netYou're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, bring your friends and rellies, and join us! Bevor wir gleich mit der Folge starten, habe ich noch eine Empfehlung für Dich. Diesmal in eigener Sache. Podcasting takes time. Usually more time than you expect. If your show feels like a lot of work with very little return, the problem probably isn't your commitment. It's your production process. I see this all the time as a podcast coach. Podcasters reacting week to week instead of working from a repeatable system. Scrambling for topics. Recording whenever there's a free moment. Editing on the fly. Publishing late. Promoting inconsistently. It's common, but it's also the fastest way to burn out before your podcast ever pays off. In this episode, I break down why efficiency matters more than hustle when it comes to podcasting for your business. Not because podcasting should be easy, but because narrowing the gap between effort and return is the only way to stay consistent long enough to see results. You'll hear what actually makes a podcast production process efficient, what most podcasters are missing, and how a clear structure, intentional batching, and a documented workflow can dramatically reduce the time and energy cost of your show. This isn't about cutting corners. It's about building a process that supports consistency, quality, and long-term momentum. If you're just starting out, efficiency helps you build the right habits from day one. If you're already podcasting and wondering why the return doesn't match the effort, this episode will help you see where things are breaking down. If you want help tightening up your production process or figuring out how to get it right from day one, book a free private podcast coaching call. Let's build a podcast production process to serve you instead of draining you. 'The Freedom Flights' from Cuba to the United States took place between 1965 and 1973. The Cuban Government agreed to allow America to transport fleeing Cuban families, with relatives in the US,  to Miami. In 1967, Maria, her brother  and her parents were among  the hundreds of thousands that fled to start a new life in America. Because the family was sponsored by a New Jersey business man, they settled there to begin their new life. Maria was 16-17 years old when she came to the United States and according to her son, "considers herself an American." Joe insists "my mother is old school and worked very hard through out her life.  She went to school for as long as her family could pay for it and then went on to work in factories where she was treated terribly as an immigrant."Both of Joe's parent's family's are originally from Spain, even though his mother had been living in Cuba.  Joe's father, a ship mechanic and hard worker came to the US and met Maria.   They married when Maria was 19 years old and started a family.Joe repeatedly mentions through out the interview that as a child and even today,  "I never wanted to disappoint my mother." Both of his parents worked very hard to give Joe and his brother everything they wanted. All Maria asked of her boys was to treat others they way you  want to be treated. "Mom encouraged us to do what ever made us happy" says Pardavila. "I'm very grateful for all those little life lessons that were taught to me, whether through osmosis or verbal. It king of stuck to me and it's a part of my life for life."Joe is the Director  of Podcasts for Advantage Forbes Books as well as the host of the podcast "Uncertain Times, Survive And Thrive In Business." He's also written the book "Good Listen," where he shares his experience and background as a producer/talent for the 'Scott and Todd Morning Show' on WPLJ FM, one of New York City iconic radio shows for 2 decades. He came to understand that he had many "soft skills" he could share and apply with others regarding great communication tools, regardless of what medium you choose to apply them. The Freedom Flights were an unusual instance of cooperation between the US and Cuban governments. During the Camarioca boatlift in 1965, Castro opened up the Cuban port of Camarioca for the departure of Cubans with relatives in the US (excluding men of military age). The number of boats and fleeing Cubans was so great that the boatlift overwhelmed the US Coast Guard. In an effort to support refugees and quell chaos, the US agreed with Cuba to finance the Freedom Flights, which transported Cuban refugees with US relatives to Miami twice daily, five times per week between 1965 and 1973. The Freedom Flights would bring about 300,000 Cubans to the US and cost approximately twelve million dollars. Although Castro initially agreed to the program, Cubans who signed up faced harassment and humiliation before their departure and property confiscation after. Hello to you listening in Bywong, Australia!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories With Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga.I remember taking part in a 2-week Outward Bound mountaineering trip high in the Canadian Rockies with 5 other women. In pairs we climbed up and then rappelled down the rock face of a near vertical mountain wall. The guides were far above us, out of sight, having anchored the ropes. With fear in her voice my climbing partner froze partway up her ascent and cried out: “I can't find anything to hold on to.” Time passed. From far above us a voice replied, “Grab it with both hands...” It worked! She trusted the guides, their advice and herself sufficient to climb all the way to the top and descend the rock face. I can still see her triumphant smile when her feet touched rocky soil again.  Question: What if Life grabbed you with both hands and offered you an unexpected opportunity? Would you trust what Life was offering you? How would you know? What would motivate you to find out and take it?    You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, bring your friends and rellies, and join us! This week on Scottsdale Vibes, I'm turning the mic on a fellow podcaster who's spent nearly a decade telling Arizona's stories. I'm joined by Jose Acevedo, founder of the award-winning Finding Arizona Podcast, to talk about curiosity, community, and why Scottsdale continues to inspire creators and entrepreneurs.  And fun fact: I was just a guest on his podcast, so today we're continuing the conversation and flipping the roles. If you love discovering the people, businesses, and stories that make Arizona special, chances are you've already heard of Finding Arizona. It's an award-winning weekly podcast that highlights local business owners, creatives, and community leaders from all across the state :  all through organic, conversational interviews that feel more like talking with a friend than sitting through a formal Q&A. Jose has now interviewed more than 400 Arizona business owners and entrepreneurs, gaining a unique perspective on what makes this state and communities like Scottsdale — so special.    Finding Arizona: https://www.findingarizonapodcast.com/ Calendar of Events   Barrett Jackson Car Collector Auction January 17-25, 2026 at Westworld of Scottsdale  Check out thousands of the world's most sought-after, unique and valuable automobiles on display and on the auction block in front of a global audience. We're back this week with a full breakdown of the Battle of the Bean 5K in Kansas City, Missouri, a race that reminded us winter running doesn't mess around. From the pre-race jitters to frozen fingers at the start line, we recap what it was like to toe the line with a real feel of –1°F. But the race itself is only part of the story. The rest of the episode dives deep into what running in extreme cold actually does to the body. We talk about how sub-zero temperatures affect muscles, joints, breathing, circulation, and overall performance. We explore why pace feels harder than effort suggests, why warming up is such a challenge, and why post-race recovery can be just as tricky as the run itself. We also touch on the mental side of running in brutal conditions and how cold weather forces runners to adjust expectations. This episode isn't about chasing PRs. It's about resilience, preparation, and knowing when showing up is the victory. If you've ever questioned whether a run was worth it once you stepped outside, this one's for you.
