We talk about her job at the legendary Soho record shop Black Market and how she immersed herself in various scenes across multiple genres and subcultures. This includes helping to set up the London Underground venue at the Glastonbury Festival, playing in clubs and warehouses, and performing at 10-day beach parties in Italy with the Unsound sound system. We finish with an update on what she is doing now: living in Devon and being an accomplished stained glass artist in high demand. Episode 14 of the EOA Podcast goes behind the scenes at one of our EOA members to hear first hand from its employees about what it feels like to own a company and to share some of the lessons learned in its first two years EO. Inspired by EOA President Patrick Lewis challenging the employee ownership sector to tell their stories during his speech at the 2022 EOA Annual Conference, the EOA was invited to Cheltenham, in Gloucestershire, to visit an employee-owned company that transitioned in February 2021. Haremi is a global learning company with a network of customers in Europe, Asia, Africa, and both North and South America. It was founded in 2006, and has grown to become one of the UK's leading educational content creation services, working across the educational publishing, awarding body and professional membership sectors. In this behind-the-scenes episode, find out more about why Haremi became employee owned, how these first two years have gone, and hear from some of its almost 50 employees from all levels of the business on how they feel being employee owners. This might sound like a special in which we include deleted scenes from past episodes of Regular Features, but it ISN'T. What it actually contains is Log and Joe joining forces for a never-before-seen twoboy episode in which they theme multiple micro-features along the theme of deleted scenes. We've got the Green Mile, we've got Se7en, we've got Big Yellow Taxi, we've got My Baby All-Gone, and we've got even more tenuous connections than that. And if you DARE suggest that this is being called a special because we hadn't properly counted how many episodes there were before the episode 500 live show, we will just kick right off, capisce?! From the early days of Talking Heads, David Byrne has been developing unique and fascinating new ways to present his music to the world. There's no finer example of this than the jaw-dropping American Utopia show, which the NME called “The Best Live Show Of All Time”. Today we are delving inside the process of creating and performing the show from its early touring incarnation through to the wildly successful Broadway run that has just triumphantly resumed at the St James Theatre. I talk to key members of the band and cast about the show's merging of rock concert with modern dance piece and Broadway show, the innovative staging and unique challenges of reconfiguring classic songs for the show, the costumes, memories from the road, celebrity encounters, working with Spike Lee on the film version, how they went from collaborators to family and the challenges and joys of finally bringing the show back a year later than planned. Thank you to cast members Angie Swan, Bobby Wooten, Chris Giarmo, Mauro Refosco and Stéphane San Juan for sharing their insights and stories, to Aussie queen of rock radio Zan Rowe for joining me to break down what makes the show special and publicist Michelle Farabaugh for making the whole thing possible.

To mark our 22nd podcast we wanted to do something a little special - in this case, give you, our listener, a little peek at what goes on behind the scenes when these presidential recordings are made. We don't want to spoil the surprise too much by giving away any names, but just make sure you're sitting down when listening to this episode. Also in this episode, Harmon opens his porch door to let in the first signs of NYC spring, we discuss the pizza principle and President Trumps penchant for using outdated 1990s catchphrases in his tweets.
Due to the upcoming holidays, the FFP is going on hiatus for a bit. But not to fret, the boys have reached back into their archives and rediscovered the original recording of their second-ever introduction episode -- about BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM and SUPERMAN II: THE RICHARD DONNER CUT. We were still figuring things out and just about to hit our stride, and that journey is something we wanted to share in all its hilarity. So take a look behind the scenes of the Forgotten Film Pod, and stay tuned for a very special best of in the weeks ahead. Happy Holidays, y'all! (Originally uploaded 1st June 2016)Hello Payphone People! Welcome to by far the worst episode of Harry Hardy's Payphone Podcast so far, presented by a person with a rapidly deteriorating voice (which sometimes makes him sound a bit like Tony Blackburn if you listen carefully). In this absolute abomination, Harry bores you by making you listen to a phone ring for three minutes, takes you on a whistle-stop tour of Manchester's most disgusting tourist attraction, and reads a long list of universities as part of joke that ultimately fails. If that hasn't convinced you to listen to this episode, there is a call featuring a very nice man towards the end of the podcast that might make you smile, so you could just skip all of the dull bits and listen to that if you'd like. It's totally up to you. Enjoy!

Talking Poofy (Scott Brennan, Adam Richard, Toby Sullivan) present The Poofcast Episode 30 Deleted Scenes Special Edition guest starring Sammy J, Tom Ward, Cal Wilson and Special Guest Star Wes Snelling (as The Unpaid Intern Bottom Whisperer) This is a motherlode of Poofcast, nearly an hour of it! There are some classic cutting room floor moments from our Adelaide tour report with Wes, a douching hose story that spun out of our watersports chat, more tales from behind the counter at Club X, a truly deranged incident with Cal Wilson on the phone only speaking via oinks and baas, another instalment of Hitler vs Midler, a never before heard Top or Bottom involving a Prime Minister, Bro-Ho Tom Ward's Diva Fury, Sammy J's Oprah Moment, and an inspired impression of an absent-minded mother from Toby. All of this and so much more in the final Poofcast for this season. The Poofcast will take a short break, and be back in a few weeks with Volume II. WARNING: The Poofcast contains frequent coarse language from foul-mouthed guest comedians, explicit sexual discussion, homosexual antics of all shapes and sizes and a rather unfortunate use of a plumbed-in douching hose.
