Dr. Georgiann Davis shares her story with us about how she learned that she has an intersex trait and how this revelation set her on the unexpected path to becoming an intersex scholar and activist. We explore with Georgiann the influence of science and technology on how we understand and treat bodies with regards to sex characteristics, gender and sexual identities, and the key issue of consent in intersex surgeries. The interview was conducted by Dylan Paré and Dr. Pratim Sengupta at the University of Calgary's Werklund School of Education.
