We will not be continuing our recaps of Siesta Key until MTV acknowledges why they've fired Alex from the show. We can only speculate that this has to do with his reported racist social media comments that Teen Vogue covered in 2017. As podcast hosts, we apologize for not bringing these comments to light sooner. We encourage Siesta Key and MTV to make a statement giving the full reasoning behind Alex's firing and the steps they're going to take to condemn racism on the show and within the company.
