Trance Formation of America with Cathy O'Brien

Kelly was sorting through our treasures gathered on a recent trip to Siesta Key, Florida when she found her sea shells she had collected made it safely home without breaking.“Look, Mom,” she squealed. “My baby's ear shells made it!”I did not know she had gathered baby ear shells, and was surprised to hear her mention them with such enthusiasm given the trigger significance they were in Operation Shell Game. (p.146-149 TRANCE Formation of America)Kelly and I are so focused on our present and future, that we do not discuss our past other than to reference it as source of insight and wisdom gained for current application. Plus I have always followed Mark's advice that Kelly needs to learn of her past from within herself free of outside input. This has allowed us both to heal on our own path in light of our individual experiences rather than tangle or dilute memory.Curious why Kelly was so ebullient about her baby ear shells, I asked her what she knew about them. She told me, “I remember a nice man on the beach explaining to me why baby's ears shells are so rare and treasured. They are extremely delicate, and when polished are beautiful. When you look inside, you can see the resemblance to a baby's ear.”“That ‘nice man' was not so nice in my book,” I offered. “He is in TRANCE for using the baby's ear as a trigger for me to do what I was told or your life was on the line.”Kelly and I were well familiar how manipulation of our love for each other was used against us both to make us do as told so the other would not be hurt. Obviously it was a lie as both of us endured MK Ultra traumas just the same. Yet it is indicative of the power of love, and how each of us had done all we could to protect the other albeit ineffectively. This is akin to how families were manipulated and divided when mind control masked as a virus was unleashed on the global population 2020. Those who bought into the media's repetitive narrative feared for the lives of those thinking free and vice versa. It was all love, yet it divided families nevertheless simply because they did not understand components of mind control.Kelly and I share a very close and profoundly deep relationship because we both fully understand what was imposed on us. Once families torn apart by mind control understand its components, they will real-eyes it was love all along driven by fear the other would die as controlled media programmed them to believe. The more you know the more you see we are not responsible for what we were forced to do under mind control. Now that we are aware, however, we are responsible and must evolve with the knowledge that is our defense against mind control going forward. Our precious family units are under deliberate orchestrated attack. Truth frees us from imposed fear, and allows for clarity of vision, compassion, and divine love to unite our families once and for all. Nature is abSOULute, and Kelly and I embrace it always. Kelly's and my vastly different perceptions of what baby ear shells meant did not preclude the reality of their profound beauty. Nor did we feel need to superimpose our experiences on each other as people are often conditioned to do. We each had different experiences, and therefore different memory and perception.Embrace difference. We all have much to learn from each other.

Nick Monard is a serial entrepreneur, travel agent, podcaster, and author based in Southwest Florida. After immigrating to the United States in 2013 with the goal of achieving the American dream, he became a leadership and mindset expert. With his unique perspective on success, travel, and influence, Nick has inspired many and penned the book Mindset Is My Degree.Welcome, Nick! Tell us a little about yourself.Thank you for having me! I'm originally from Belgium. When I first arrived in the United States, I spoke no English, which made navigating this new chapter quite a challenge. But it was also one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and coming to the U.S. allowed me to channel that into extremely meaningful pursuits—like starting my travel agency and sharing my travel mental and professional journey through writing. Why did you want to move to the U.S.?At 9 years old, I came to visit Florida for three weeks and I came back obsessed with America. The American flag was all over my room and my dream board. At the top of my dream board, I wrote, “I will move to the United States one day.” I knew I was going to move to the U.S. one day. I finally moved to the U.S. at 33 years old, but it was all worth it.What was it like moving to the U.S. from Belgium? It was quite a polar cultural shift. Belgium is known for its history, architecture, and small-town historic charm, while the U.S. is much larger in scale and offers endless opportunities. Adjusting to a new language and lifestyle was tough, but it taught me resilience and adaptability—qualities that are central to my work today. What do you love most about Southwest Florida? Do you have any favorite spots?Southwest Florida is paradise! Palm Trees are “freedom” to me. The scenery, the weather, and the beaches are stunning, and the community is warm and welcoming. My favorite beach spots include Barefoot Beach, and Lovers Key State Park—they're perfect for relaxing and soaking in the natural beauty. As for food, I'm a fan of the Cooper's Hawk Restaurants in Naples and Fort Myers. For travelers visiting SWFL, what are your must-do recommendations? There's so much to explore! The beaches and islands like Sanibel and Captiva are stunning. I'd suggest staying at the Ritz-Carlton in Naples for a luxurious experience or trying out the smaller boutique hotels for a cozy vibe. Be sure to visit the Edison and Ford Winter Estates for some history and take a kayak tour through the mangroves at the Estero River Outfitters. And of course, don't miss out on the local seafood—it's some of the freshest you'll ever taste! The outlets and outdoor malls like 5th Avenue in Naples and Miromar Outlets in Estero have great shopping. You can even travel up to places like Siesta Key for extra adventures. What sparked your love of travel? It's in my DNA. Growing up in Europe and playing professional basketball, travel became a big part of my life. In Europe, countries are so close together. In the U.S. I traveled to New York, NOLA, Vegas, and other fun cities. I've always been curious about experiencing new cultures, meeting people, and seeing the world from different perspectives. What are your favorite places you've visited?I'd have to say Antarctica even though I hate cold weather! I took a Seabourn cruise through Antarctica and it was the best experience of my life. In Europe, Barcelona is my favorite city because it has everything. It has a fantastic beach, extravagant architecture, amazing city life, top-notch food, and a fantastic cruise port. I love Las Ramblas Boulevard for the “people watching” and music. I also love Budapest. It is a totally underrated city with extremely nice people and very affordable prices. People in Croatia are also extremely nice and beautiful. If you like beer and “real” French Fries, check out my home country of Belgium. Each place left a lasting impression on me for different reasons. What's your favorite way to travel?I'm a fan of cruising. There's nothing like waking up to a new destination every day without having to unpack and pack up again for the next spot. My two best-selling adult cruiseliners are Celebrity Cruises and Virgin Voyages. These cruise liners have great food and no kids! Virgin has a one-star Michelin chef onboard. Celebrity is very similar to top all-inclusive hotels. The service is top-notch and they have the best sea casino. I love smaller, luxury river cruises through Europe as well. You definitely need to experience Greece on a cruise. There are lots of small places that day trips are perfect for. Royal Caribbean's Caribbean island cruises are also great. I really love to cruise from California to Hawaii & Tahiti. I have also been on a 26-day cruise from Sydney Australia to San Francisco visiting all the islands along the way. Cruising is not the best option for people who want to experience all the nightlife of a city, however, certain cruises that go to places like Greece and Ibiza have night stops for travelers to enjoy the nightlife.  What are your favorite all-inclusive resorts or resort locations?Xcaret Mexico is one that I personally love. I believe it has the best beaches in Mexico and so many choices for food. They have literally a market where everything is fresh every morning, and when you walk towards the market, you just smell it ahead of you. The scenery is incredible. People always mention sandals. Some sandals are very nice and some are not great. In Jamaica, for example, they have a brand new Sandals Resort that is out of this world beautiful, but it's pretty expensive. It has water bungalows where the floor is transparent glass, and you can see the water and the fish. You also have your own little pool, and jacuzzi included in your bungalow. That is an experience everyone should do at least once. Many couples vacation there for honeymoons and anniversaries. Also, Bora Bora is perfect for travelers who love beaches and beautiful scenery on the water. Fiji is the fanciest spot. All hotels here are all-inclusive, butler included! You can only stay four nights maximum on the island and it costs eight to twelve thousand dollars a night—usually, people island-hop after stopping in Fiji. Fiji trips need to be booked a year and a half in advance. Tell us more about your business, Dream Vacations.I became a travel agent because people loved the places I traveled to and wanted to go themselves. I realized I needed a referral fee to set their vacations up. I've been in the travel business for several years now with Dream Vacations, a franchise under World Travel Holdings. As a luxury travel concierge, I go beyond basic planning to create customized, seamless experiences for my clients. My goal is to make every trip unforgettable. The best part for the customer is it doesn't cost them extra to use a travel agent. What most people do not know is travel agent service fees are always included in your booking fee whether you use a travel agent or not. Using a travel agent like me, you do not lose any extra money in fees and you can find the best cruises, hotels, and trips in the world! What does your planning process look like?It all starts with a conversation. I ask my clients about their interests, goals, group size, and must-have sites and experiences. From there, I focus on delivering value and finding options that balance quality and budget. I use Dream Vacations to book travel and activities while keeping an eye out for deals without compromising a high-quality experience.Lastly, where can our readers find and connect with you?You can find me on Instagram and Facebook at @NickMonardTravel or visit my website at dreamvacations.com. On Oct. 9, Hurricane Milton made landfall near Siesta Key, Florida, leaving a path of destruction in its wake. Some key citrus-growing regions felt impacts from the storm. While damage was spotty, fruit loss was significant for some. Now, the waiting game is on to see how much more fruit drops from the stress to trees caused by the storm. The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) quickly organized a webinar after the storm to provide growers with information about resources available to rehab trees and seek financial assistance. The webinar is the topic of the October All In For Citrus podcast. Michael Rogers, director of the UF/IFAS Citrus Research and Education Center (CREC), shares highlights of the webinar and gives updates on what he was hearing and seeing in groves after the storm. He also discusses how CREC facilities and groves made it through the storm. Chris Oswalt, UF/IFAS citrus Extension agent for Polk and Hillsborough counties, talks about the path of the storm and how it impacted various citrus-growing regions. He says the storm had a large wind field with 70 to 80 mph winds reaching well inland across Florida. He also draws some comparisons between Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Ian, which struck in 2022. Tripti Vashisth, UF/IFAS associate professor of horticultural sciences, joins the podcast to provide guidance on the use of plant growth regulators to help reduce the amount of fruit drop in the wake of the storm. Applied in a timely manner, 2,4-D can reduce delayed fruit drop that could be caused by Milton. To learn more about Hurricane Milton damage and resources available to help growers, don't miss the October episode of All In For Citrus. The podcast is a partnership between UF/IFAS and AgNet Media.

Welcome to Episode #160 of Way of the Bible podcast. This is our eighth of eight episodes in our Twentieth mini-series entitled, Sermon on the Mount. On today's episode we'll be taking a walk on the beach with DrZ, hey that's me, sorry, couldn't help that it was just there. As I was saying, we'll be taking a walk on the beach to overview and comment on what we've learned on this mini-series.So glad so many of you were able to join us today given the reality of two hurricanes impacting the Gulf shores of Florida. First was Hurricane Helene which roared onshore n the Big Bend area of FL last week as a Cat 4 hurricane before quickly crossing into Georgia, South Carolina, Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee leaving in its wake catastrophic devastation. And a week later, Milton making landfall as a Cat 3 hurricane on Siesta Key near Sarasota, Fl before slicing a path across Florida and heading out over the Atlantic Ocean. The beaches along the emerald coast along Highway 30-A between Destin and Panama City were spared this round. But all those who have been around for forty or more hurricane seasons sense and are fairly resigned to the reality that it is only a matter of time before a storm comes knocking on your door.  But enough of that for now, while the coast to our east and south have been ravaged by wind and waves, the Gulf waters out back are almost perfect. Still a little warmer than normal as are our daily temperatures. While we won't break a sweat this morning, you can still get sun burned pretty quick, so hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses suggested.I'll meet you out back in five minutes. Make sure to top off your coffee or get one of many other options available at the bar area. Speaking of bars, we've got the Rooftop bar of Bud and Alley's reserved for a private mid-morning brunch. They're expecting us within the hour so let's hop to it. See you out back.I see we are all here. We'll head toward the water and the lightly breaking surf and take a left, heading East into the early morning sun. As we head that way I'll remind you we've not yet finished overviewing Chapter 5 of Matthew. The first of three chapters (5 to 7) that are referred to as the Sermon on the Mount. We still have at least two and likely three more mini-series before we complete the Sermon on the Mount. That means at least two or three walks on the beach after this one. Perhaps for one of those walks we can take a road trip over to the Big Bend area to lend a hand with recovery and do the same on another walk on Siesta Key. Participation is not mandatory, but if you have the inkling to go and would like to help let me know as there is a lot of preparation and staging to be done to make our trips beneficial and not an inconvenience for those most in need of assistance in these areas. We are not at the water's edge and ready to make our turn to the East. As you go through the text of Matthew, you get the sense Jesus made a similar turn at his baptism by John the Baptist. His turn was from a life in Nazareth which we know little about to a focused three-year life of ministry teaching, calling and training disciples. During this time, he taught with authority, was a miracle healing extravaganza, and demonstrated with signs and wonders power over the created order that testified to his being the Son of God, the Son of Man.Shortly after his ministry life began he called his first disciples and laid out for them the foundational teaching upon which all his subsequent teaching rested. We call this teaching the Sermon on the Mount. You will discover as you dig into the epistles, the apostles were writing the boots on the ground versions of the principals Jesus was teaching his disciples. These principals deal with living in the kingdom of heaven. Something all believers are doing even today, though not all believers know it.Let's do a quick recap of where we've been so far in t

This comes just a couple of weeks after Hurricane Helene devastated parts of the southeastern US. Hurricane Milton dumped up to 18 inches of rain in some places, flooding cars, homes, and other buildings. Several people are confirmed dead. Around 3 million are without power.Hurricane Milton was expected to cause a 15-foot storm surge, but it appears that the storm surge maxed out at five to six feet. And there wasn't just a storm surge, but a reverse one.Ira talks with Maggie Koerth, science writer and editorial lead for Carbon Plan, about some of the science of Hurricane Milton. They also discuss other science stories from the week, including President Biden's new rule for replacing lead pipes, concerns about the security of genetic data with 23andMe, and how to tell if an elephant is left or right-trunked.Lake Michigan Swimmers Enjoy ‘Unsettling' Warm WaterOn a sunny, mid-September afternoon, Olu Demuren took a running start off the concrete ledge just south of Belmont Harbor and leapt into Lake Michigan for the first time.“I was preparing myself for cold water,” Demuren said. “And this immediately felt very nice.”The water along Chicago's lakeshore averaged an unseasonable 71 degrees that day. The weather was picturesque too: clear blue skies and temperatures in the mid-80s. Annelise Rittberg watched their friends from the concrete ledge and said the weather felt “deeply abnormal.”“While it's fun to be out here, it's also unsettling,” Rittberg said.Lake Michigan is heating up. The lake's surface temperature has surpassed the running average dating back to 1995 nearly every day this year, according to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) data. And it's not just one Great Lake. All five are warming. The massive bodies of water, which provide drinking water to more than 30 million people, are among the fastest-warming lakes worldwide, according to the federal government's Fifth National Climate Assessment.Read the full story at sciencefriday.com.Transcripts for each segment will be available after the show airs on sciencefriday.com. Milton spawned scores of tornadoes left more than 3 million utility customers without power. The AP reports at least five people died due to Milton's impacts. While there has been significant flooding along the coast — and hundreds of thousands of people remain without power — Milton did not turn out to be as damaging as projections showed as it approached the peninsula. We debrief the storm with a meteorologist with the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network. We also check in with someone from Sarasota County, where Milton made landfall. And we check in with FPL and LCEC to see how their power systems fared and how many people are still without power.

The Sarasota County Commission has $15 million to allocate for job training in the wake of Hurricane Ian. Some commissioners were ready to give it all to the Suncoast Builders Association. The West Coast Black Theater Troupe took a creative approach to getting out the vote with a presentation of a one-woman show called “The Fannie Lou Hamer Story.” Democrat Derek Reich is once again challenging Republican Fiona McFarland for the District 73 seat in the Florida House. He thinks he has a better chance this time around.  The Sarasota City Commission gathered for a special meeting to discuss the Downtown Master Plan, and how to bring fresh ideas to the table through an Ad Hoc Committee. With strong opinions and a clear call for collaboration, the debate was anything but routine.  Perhaps surprisingly, the Sarasota County Commission on Wednesday passed up a chance to increase density on Siesta Key.

Monday, 3 June 2024   But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. Acts 28:3   The Greek more closely reads, “And Paul, having bundled a multitude of kindling, and having laid upon the pyre, a viper – having come from the heat – seized his hand” (CG).   In the previous verse, the people on the island made a fire for the shipwrecked people because of the rain and cold. Now, Luke begins a short description of an unusual event concerning Paul. He begins with, “And Paul, having bundled a multitude of kindling.”   A couple rare words are used here. The first is sustrephó, to gather or roll. It was seen in Matthew 17:22. This is the second and last use. Also, the word translated as kindling is found only here, phruganon. It signifies a dry stick for burning. Thus, a word like kindling, tinder, touchwood, etc. will suffice.   Those who argue for the other location being the spot of the shipwreck, as reviewed in the previous verse, note that there is no wood that grows on Malta. However, the word doesn't specifically imply wood from a tree.   Rather, in the area of the shipwreck, there are shrubs which are used for this very purpose. There is no reason at all to assume that Paul wasn't out gathering exactly this type of material or even driftwood that shows up on beaches all over the world.   Paul was making a bundle out of dried sticks he had found, gathering them together to bring for the fire. With that complete, Luke next says, “and having laid upon the pyre.”   It is the same word found in the previous verse, pura. It signifies a pile of burning fuel. This is its second and last use in the New Testament. Paul has bundled up a pile of sticks and brought them back, laying them on this bonfire. With that, Luke next records that “a viper – having come from the heat – seized his hand.”   This is the fifth and last use of echidna, or viper, in the New Testament. The other four verses were all quotes of John the Baptist or Jesus calling those who had come near them a “brood of vipers.” The word signifies a venomous snake of some sort. This viper is said to have seized Paul's hand.   It is another unique word, kathaptó. It signifies to lay hold of, fasten onto, seize, etc. The snake probably felt the heat of the fire and darted to get away from it. As it did, it seized Paul's hand and would have immediately started pumping his venom into him.   These words bring in another complication. There are no indigenous vipers on Malta. Therefore, the claim is that this is not the true spot of the shipwreck. However, Malta was sparsely populated then. It is heavily populated now.   On the barrier island of Siesta Key, Florida, until the 1970s, there were poisonous snakes everywhere, However, as the population grew, they were eradicated. It is now very rare to see them on the island. Where there were once rattlers in abundance, none remain. Where water moccasins once hung from mangroves in almost every location, they are rarely seen anymore.   As far as the words noting that they seized his hand, it never says he was bitten by the viper, but it is implied, especially by the words of the next verse.   Life application: There are snake handling churches throughout the southern US. Deadly rattlers are brought out and passed around the congregation. At times, someone will get bit. Sometimes a person will die from the bite.   This practice is based on the words of Mark 16:17, 18 –   “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”   This is not sound practice. To actively drink poison or handle poisonous snakes is to test God in a way that is unnecessary. This account in Acts is the only time a snake is referred to in this manner in the Bible. There is never a time that it is recorded that someone drinks poison.   Until the Lord comes for His people, every person who has lived since His first coming has died or will die. There are innumerable ways to die. To assume that God is going to protect a person every time he picks up a poisonous snake or drinks something poisonous is, therefore, ridiculous. There is no need to test God in such ways. Instead, live your life safely, carefully, and with clear thinking. This will generally increase your lifespan. Snake handling... not so much.   Lord God, help us to think clearly about how we conduct our lives in Your presence. There are things that we can do that may not be so smart. Rather, just because we can drive a car really fast, it doesn't mean that we should do so. Instead, may we live our lives circumspectly, doing things that are reasonable and prudent all our days. Amen.
