Rico and Riger take your calls and read your ticket texts on Tarik Skubal.
The guys began the show reacting to the news that Tarik Skubal and the Tigers are at least $250 million apart in extension negotiations, which begged multiple questions from them. They asked what the Tigers need to do to get a win out of this whole situation and whether the fans' opinion has shifted of the Detroit ace since he asked out of Game 5 in the 7th inning. Then, they did this week's version of the Prop Bet Casino.

The 2025 season is over for the Detroit Tigers after a heartbreaking 15-inning loss to the Seattle Mariners in Game 5 of the ALDS, which eliminated the Tigers from the MLB postseason. The Tigers have been knocked out of the playoffs in Game 5 of the ALDS in each of the past two seasons. On "Days of Roar," Evan Petzold and Chris Brown ("Tigers Minor League Report") share takeaways from the Tigers' postseason run and discuss the big offseason topic. What happened to the Tigers in Game 5 of the ALDS? Should the Tigers trade Tarik Skubal this offseason? We also react to what president of baseball operations Scott Harris and manager A.J. Hinch outlined during the end-of-season press conference, with Harris putting the blame on the offense. If the offense is the problem, then what's the plan to fix the offense ahead of the 2026 season? We look into Hinch's contract extension, plus what the Tigers need most in the offseason. October baseball is delivering everything fans could ask for. Blake Snell's masterpiece — eight innings, one hit, ten strikeouts — set the tone as the Dodgers took control of the NLCS. In the American League, Jorge Polanco and Julio Rodríguez continue to fuel Seattle's push toward the franchise's first World Series appearance. The energy and emotion of October are in full swing. From there, the focus shifts to Detroit, where the Tigers' dream season ended in heartbreak. Fifteen innings in Seattle, eight total runs in five games, and another postseason exit that raised difficult questions about what comes next. In Episode 110 of Tablesetters, Steve and Devin welcome back Jordan Hall, host of Eat 'em Up: A Detroit Tigers Podcast, for an in-depth look at the offseason's defining storyline: Tarik Skubal's future. After a Cy Young caliber season with 195⅓ innings pitched, a 2.21 ERA, 241 strikeouts, and a .677 win rate in his starts, Detroit faces a pivotal decision. Should they extend their ace, explore a trade, or wait and risk free agency in 2026 with Scott Boras leading negotiations? The answer could shape the franchise for years to come. The conversation also examines A.J. Hinch's leadership, Detroit's late season collapse, and the continued growth of Riley Greene and Kevin McGonigle as key pieces in the club's next chapter.
