Gio talked about taking a flight out of JFK and how expensive it cost to park but we still pay it because we want to get out of there. We also talked about choosing self-checkout over going to a cashier and how valet parking people are sometimes in cahoots with criminals. Jerry returns for his final update of the day, but first we hear from Cardi B as she said she and Stefon Diggs are having a baby. We heard from Pete Carroll on his relationship with Tom Brady. Brady is playing in some flag football game in Saudi Arabia. The Mets scored 5 runs in the first and beat the Padres. Evan Cedric Mullins homered. The Yankees had a 10-1 lead and then barely beat the Twins, 10-9. Cal Raleigh hit 2 more home runs making it 56 on the season. The Moment of The Day: Al had pain down there and used a mirror to find out what was wrong. In the final segment of the show, Mike Hill from Boomer's Foundation stopped by and told us about going to Burning Man.
Hour 1 We started the show with the Mets, who had a big first inning and beat the Padres. We have 11 more games to go and the Diamondbacks are right on their heels. Gio is encouraged by last night. Boomer thought he gave up on the Mets. Gio thinks the Yankees should want to play the Astros so they can pay them back. The NFL came out and said Tom Brady is allowed to be in the Raiders' coaches' booth. Boomer has a cold already, so we set the over/under for illnesses for the show this Fall/Winter. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with something strange Al did on Monday that involves him being a ‘penis hypochondriac'. The Mets scored 5 in the first. The Yankees had a 10-1 lead and barely hung on to beat the Twins. Cal Raleigh hit his 55th and 56th home runs of the season. In the final segment of the hour, Gio has an odd story involving multiple men in a Penn Station bathroom. Gio has so many questions. Hour 2 The Giants play the Chiefs this week and Boomer said the Giants are going to be in for a rude awakening on offense as the Chiefs have a very good defense. The Chiefs have struggled offensively for the last 3 games. Boomer also said Brian Daboll is not getting fired during the season no matter what happens. This is actually a great time for the Giants to be playing the Chiefs. Gio said the sportsbooks are begging you to take the Giants at 5 ½. Gio thinks it's a ‘get right spot' for the Chiefs. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Yankees squeaking by the Twins after having a 10-1 lead and the Mets' big first inning as they beat the Padres. Nick Sirianni had to answer questions about his team being offside on the tush push. Dabo Swinney said if they're tired of winning, they can let him go. In the final segment of the hour, country singer Zach Bryan tried to fight another country artist, Gavin Adcock, at a festival. Hour 3 We started the hour talking about the Yankees and whether their fans want to face the Astros in the playoffs or if they are trying to avoid them. Two of our Yankees fans called and neither thought they could make it to the World Series. Boomer said the AL & NL are wide open for any playoff team to make it to the World Series. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Yankees barely beating the Twins even though they had a 10-1 lead. Francisco Lindor's wife played the National Anthem on the violin before the game. Lindor himself homered a little while later. Cal Raleigh hit 2 more home runs to make it 56 on the year. Jerry Jones was asked about the phrase, ‘glory hole'. Stephen A. Smith talked about Molly Qerim leaving ESPN. In the final segment of the hour, Gio's wife had to go into the city last night for a friend's birthday and that sounds like a nightmare. A Tuesday night Broadway show. Hour 4 Gio talked about taking a flight out of JFK and how expensive it cost to park but we still pay it because we want to get out of there. Send us a textCharlie Kirk's murder has exposed America's painful double standard in how we grieve and memorialize public figures. In this candid episode, we explore the jarring contrast between NFL stadiums holding moments of silence for Kirk while Black victims of violence rarely receive similar recognition. When flags are lowered to half-staff for some but not others, what message does that send about whose lives we collectively value?Shifting to lighter territory, we break down the contrasting album rollout strategies between Drake and Cardi B. While Drake opts for select interviews and single releases, Cardi's grassroots approach has her literally on the streets selling CDs and riding subways to promote her music. This old-school hustle earned our respect, with one host noting: "She's living that New York life." We cap off with a spirited debate about the song of the summer (is it "Folded" or "Outside"?) and explore TI's surprisingly extensive dating history.FOLLOW. SUBSCRIBE. SHARE. Having someone to take care of you when you get old is not a good reason to get old, but Cardi B says it's one of her motivators for having more. Zack Bryan jumps a barbed wire fence to come after fellow country singer Gavid Adcock - yikes! Things happen between neighbors, but what could be the reason for this hole in the ceiling? Should some hobbies be “just for kids?” Is anyone still bowling on a Friday night? Plus: When did that happen?

Another edition of 10 years ago this week, and a guy won the lottery and tried to divorce his wife without telling her. The Emmys were last night, and the big winners were ‘The Studio,' ‘The Pitt,' and ‘Adolescence.' Helly R from ‘Severance' and Hannah from ‘Hacks' also had notable speeches. Is trying to get backstage to meet the band still a thing? The Bieber Family Values are bizarre, but the concept is cute! Rumors are swirling around Chip and Joanna Gaines - the gang is speculating at the potential reasons. There are more people struggling financially in California than you would expect. We kick off this weeks episode with a motherhood update. Carla opens up about new and uncharted challenges of motherhood this week. Her little one just started Pre-K. It's been a rough ride, and Carla's not sugarcoating it. The struggle bus is real, and Carla's driving it with no GPS. Then things take a sharp (and hilarious) left turn into pop culture: we dive into the Cardi B trial — yes, the $24 million lawsuit from a security guard that somehow made it to court. The drama! The absurdity! The joy! Carla turned to her bestie ChatGPT for a breakdown of how this could even happen. While we're talking Cardi, we go full conspiracy mode trying to guess who her new baby daddy is — and why she's being so secretive about the pregnancy. We have thoughts. Carla's also still deep in her docuseries era, and this week she's all about Beytral: The Podcast (Session Three) on Hulu. She gives a full (spoilery) breakdown of the chaos, the drama, and the absolute insanity of it all. We close out the show with Southwest Airlines' new controversial policy: plus-size passengers now required to purchase two seats. Dex isn't convinced it'll be enforceable, and we break down what this means for travel, equity, and common sense. SaVon and Alex kick things off with jokes and a reminder about the headphone giveaway before tackling a Patreon listener question on the greatest true freestyle artists (2:09). They finally give Joey Bada$$ his flowers, unpacking his 20-v-1 diss-track run, the label delays at Columbia, and the underwhelming 9K first-week numbers for 'Lonely at the Top' while debating whether his single “Dark Aura” had enough punch (13:00). A rapid-fire new-music segment covers Justin Bieber's surprise 'SAWG II,' Ed Sheeran's soulful 'Play,' and Atlanta's rock newcomers The Paradox, sparking laughs as they imitate the raspy rock vocals and talk about Black artists reclaiming rock's roots (28:30). They then call out DJ Khaled for his polished but empty PR answers in his sit down with Fat Joe and Jadakiss (43:00). Wrapping up, they dive into Young Thug's heartfelt Instagram apologies and his seven-minute tribute track “Man I Miss My Dogs,” dissecting his Big Bank interview about loyalty, the rift with Gunna, and the difference between being a provider and a true leader—before closing with reactions to Cardi B's rollout strategy and the big expectations for her next body of work (1:05:20). Cardi B's in court, Logan Paul and Nina are fighting in a taxi, Meghan Markle is insufferable yet again in her With Love, Meghan Season 2 show, and Justin Bieber dropped a new album. Meanwhile, news took a dark turn. Ukrainian refugee, Iryna Zarutska, was fatally stabbed on a Charlotte train by a man with 14 previous crimes on his record, there was a murder at Burning Man, and everyone wore garbage on the red carpet at VMAs. In between, I talk Cory's birthday weekend, UFC fights, my hyperfixation meals, DIY electrolytes, and why I'm disturbingly dependent on ChatGPT. THIS PODCAST ALMOST GOT SCAMMED! Jessi shares the shocking details behind a celebrity “Podcast Scam” she practically fell for. Then, Mariah does nothing while Tate does EVERYTHING- the MTV VMA's brought 2004 back and we love them (and Gay People!) for that. Speaking of Gay People- what are “Gaylors” and why are they devastated about Taylor Swift's engagement? Plus! Glen Powell bares his (fake) muscles on GQ and Jessi is (REAL) into it. All that and Jessi delves deep into "Unknown Number: The High School Catfish” ...the wild documentary that EVERYONE is texting about. Plus, Jason hears the soundtrack for "K-Pop Demon Hunters" for the FIRST TIME and Cardi B is the new Gwyneth Paltrow… Jessi will tell you why, NOW! Don't text Jessi from an Unknown Number… CALL HER and leave her a voicemail about anything, HERE: 323-448-0068 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Episode 69 of She Said It First is peak best friend banter meets real talk. Kicking things off with What Irritated Me This Week, Jerrilyn Lake aka Indeskribeabull and Lynee’ Monae go in on people who borrow your stuff, call it “little,” and then forget they were broke knuckle-deep in pocket lint when they asked you in the first place. From lending money to “elevating homelessness” (yes, they really said that), the ladies turn irritation into pure comedy, reminding us all why you should never loan out anything you can’t live without. In Girl, What Happened, the spotlight is on Cardi B beating her civil case—because apparently a $24 million scratch wasn’t scratching enough. The ladies drag the lawsuit for being greed in a wig, clown the plaintiff for thinking Cardi wouldn’t show up, and side-eye celebrities who somehow always find themselves in court but never in choir practice. Things escalate with talk of Epstein files, Timberland’s creepy Aaliyah confession, and a whole detour on how men in power have been getting away with predatory nonsense for decades. It’s a heavy conversation, but they sprinkle enough side-eyes and punchlines to keep it balanced. Finally, in Girl Talk, dating disasters take center stage, with one story about a pool-owning man who ghosted so hard he deserves an Olympic medal. The ladies also unpack Tabitha Brown’s viral moment telling struggling entrepreneurs to “get a job” if their business isn’t paying the bills. While the internet clutched its pearls, Jerrilyn and Lynee’ defended Auntie Tab, pointing out that humbling yourself with a paycheck isn’t failure—it’s called funding your dreams (and keeping the lights on).
