S2 - EPS 10: Why we don’t change

Play Episode Listen Later Feb 14, 2021 23:31

Why do we talk about change so much but rarely do whats required? Why is it such a big topic for so many people? I talk to a lot of people about their goals. Deeper than just writing it down. Really stripping it back. But once its stripped back it shocks a lot of people just how much work is involved and how much sacrifice is required. And Sacrifice requires change. It requires you either growing into a new more fulfilling habit that drives you towards what you need instead of what you want. Or just plain and simple means you break an existing habit. Like drinking. Smoking. Bad eating. Drug use etc. So why is it then that people take that initial step to set goals but when they strip them back and get the slap in the face but so few push on. Or the ones that do don’t pursue with the course towards what is ultimately good for them? I cover all this in Episode 10. Hope you enjoy it. Peace.

S2: EP9 - Knowing your why

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 18, 2020 21:25

Before you set out on any endeavour, especially business related please have a clear understanding of your why. Don’t confuse achievement and success. They aren’t the same. Achievement is measurable, it’s tangible, it’s mile stones and a tick list. Success is how you feel. It’s fulfilment and it’s directly related to your why. Without a clear understanding of your why you’re in danger of getting caught up in the what and the how of your business. But that doesn’t inspire people. It’s important you know it from the outset but even more important to not lose sight of it as you grow. Especially as you become more successful. Trust me I speak from personal experience here. I really hope you enjoy this episode. Please leave your comments and feedback. Nothing but love people.

Trust me on this one. It’s an incredibly powerful process to go through. It breeds creativity within you and also creates productivity. On the right tasks. They don’t all have to be home runs. That’s not the point. I just want you to go through the process. No matter how small or dump they might seem. Take a listen to the Episode and I’ll explain this in more detail. You won’t regret it

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 6, 2020 15:40

S2 #03 I’ve seen complacency kill just as many dreams once goals have been met as laziness has killed off newbies when things get tough in the early days. For me hitting a goal doesn’t mean I’m done. Far from it. It’s an opportunity to refine that goal and push on. Either through expansion or diversification. And those goals you’re chasing will also come with new levels of stress that need managing and new problems you’re yet to deal with. You have to be constantly adjusting your approach and adapting to what’s happening around you. Stay hungry people. Peace.

S2: #02 - Taking Massive Action

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 2, 2020 15:07

Taking massive action This isn’t about being a busy fool. This is about setting goals (realistic or otherwise) and being able to reverse engineer those goals back to the present day. Once you’ve done that you then should start looking at what your current daily activity looks like and if that marrys up anywhere close to getting you towards your goals. So unless you’re monitoring your data (yes we all have data) and your daily activity you’re just stumbling into this blind. Where you’re at right now is a direct result of the decisions you’ve made. If your goals require a different version of You then the big question is...are you willing to make the necessary sacrifices required to get you to your goals? Over to you people. Enjoy the episode.

S2 - #01: The Importance of Adding Value

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 1, 2020 21:57

This is a huge topic for me and something that I am incredibly passionate about. A day spent without helping someone is a day wasted. We all have the power and the ability within us to help others but so many people don’t. Either out of laziness, fear they aren’t qualified to or simply because society has conditioned them to believe they shouldn’t interfere in people’s business. I position myself as a problem solved. Always have and always will. I want the stuff that’s difficult and that nobody else wants as I’m incredibly confident I’ll be able to find a solution. The ability to give with wanting to receive is a calling and rare quality. You need to remove the ‘Whats in it for me’ mentality and just start looking for opportunities to help. Because the universe is always watching...and it will deliver back on to you you 10 fold that which you gave out. So keep an eye on what you put out...as it works for good and evil alike. Enjoy the episode folks. Peace.

You have to train your brain to recognise these questions and make sure you’re always striving to make the right decision. Make every decision a win or success and ultimately the day, weeks, months and years will also be a success. As with most things it isn’t easy. It might mean you saying to a drink with the boys and going for a run instead. Or missing your favourite TV show to watch a webinar. Listening to an audiobook on a long drive instead of the radio. You see my point. The decisions to make the changes you need are all around us every day. Try it for a week. Or better yet a month and report back with the difference.
