As we inch closer to the Series X/S launch, fall is in full effect and Halloween in just around the corner; so what can be more festive than talking about some of our favorite horror games and scary moments in videogames? After purchasing Bethesda's parent company Zenimax Media, rumors have begun circulating that Microsoft is looking to buy more studios in the coming months and that Bungie is on their list. It also seems that Nintendo and Microsoft are planning for a very friendly next generation after it was announced this week that Minecraft characters are making their way to Smash Bros. CD Project Red has announced this week that they would begin having mandatory overtime for their employees for the next six weeks to play-test and finalize their upcoming AAA title Cyberpunk 2077. Microsoft... WOW! In a move that surprised everyone and sent shock waves throughout the gaming industry, Microsoft has purchased Zenimax Media for an estimated $7.5 billion, bringing The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Doom, Wolfenstein, and other critically aclaimed games, under the Xbox Game Studios umbrella. Sony has officially fired back after Microsoft confirmed the series s leak and announced an official price and release date. Although Sony made some impressive moves, their preorder date for the PS5 was complete chaos, with retailers listing the consoles early leaving many consumers left in the dust.
