By popular demand we've been forced into covering Uncharted 2021, an adaptation of some of the Naughty Dog video game series. Not the good one (The Last Of Us on HBO) but Uncharted 2021, a movie that mostly covers some of the ground seen in parts 3 and 4. With Tom Holland taking on the role as a young Nathan Drake and Mark Whalberg playing that much beloved character, himself, this globe trotting adventure sets the bar for movies that feel like they come out in 2014. The second season of the American post-apocalyptic drama television series The Last of Us premiered on HBO on April 13, 2025. Based on the video game franchise developed by Naughty Dog, the series is set twenty years into a pandemic caused by a mass fungal infection, which causes its hosts to transform into zombie-like creatures and collapses society. The second season, based on the 2020 game The Last of Us Part II, follows Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) five years after the events of the first season, after they have settled into Jackson, Wyoming, with Joel's brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna) and Ellie's friends Dina (Isabela Merced) and Jesse (Young Mazino).HBO renewed The Last of Us for a second season less than two weeks after the series premiere aired in January 2023. Series co-creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann were joined in the writers' room by Halley Gross and Bo Shim; Druckmann wrote and co-directed the video games, and Gross co-wrote Part II. Filming took place in British Columbia from February to August 2024. Druckmann, Mazin, and Peter Hoar returned to direct the seven episodes, alongside newcomers Kate Herron, Nina Lopez-Corrado, Mark Mylod, and Stephen Williams. Gustavo Santaolalla and David Fleming returned to compose the score. Critics praised the action sequences, direction, performances, production design, and writing, though some criticized the pacing and considered the story incomplete.

Min 36: PREPARADOS PARA THE LAST OF US. T2 "The Last of Us" temporada 2 abre con una herida sin cerrar y una tensión brutal Después de una primera temporada que conquistó a crítica y público al adaptar con fidelidad e inteligencia el aclamado videojuego de Naughty Dog, The Last of Us regresa con un primer episodio de su segunda temporada que no pierde el tiempo: es intenso, emocionalmente devastador y, sobre todo, valiente. Min 39.

In today's Daily Fix:Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet doesn't have an official release date, but according to Bloomberg, the game may not make it out until 2027 at the earliest. That would make it seven years into the life of the PlayStation 5, and there's a good chance Sony will have already announced the PS6. Could Intergalactic be withheld from the current-gen PS5 and be a launch title for the PS6? And would that mean Naughty Dog has missed the PS5 generation entirely, outside of remakes and remasters? Speaking of release dates, CD Projekt has confirmed that the upcoming The Witcher 4 will not be released earlier by the end of 2026, which means another 2027 release date at the earliest. And finally, Nintendo has one last Direct aimed specifically at the Switch 1, a week before the big Switch 2 reveal in April. We may finally get the deep dive on Metroid Prime 4 that we've been waiting for.

This week, Sacred Symbols is a Kojima Fanboy Podcast... for a little while, anyway. Finally -- finally! -- we have a release date for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and it's fairly close, arriving on PlayStation 5 in late June. And as a deep love for Kojima is perhaps the biggest gaming stance all three Sacred hosts share, we thought we'd spend some time getting hyped up following an all-new 10 minute trailer, collector's edition and pre-order details, and so on. Other news this week includes word of major forthcoming updates to PS5 Pro, the leak of a mysterious PSP game called STAMP that was never greenlit into production, the announcement of PowerWash Simulator 2 (!) from FuturLab, rumors of imminent PS5 releases for Indiana Jones and an Oblivion Remake, and much more. Then: Listener inquiries! What do we think of the reveal that Naughty Dog's Intergalactic will deal with religion as a central theme? Do we have any thoughts about the copious leaks from the recent Battlefield playtests? How will MLB: The Show 25 shape-up in its first current-gen-only PlayStation outing? Does Dustin have a serious misconception of what some people actually do when listening to our shows? Please keep in mind that our timestamps are approximate, and will often be slightly off due to dynamic ad placement. Based on the video game franchise developed by Naughty Dog, the series is set twenty years into a pandemic caused by a mass fungal infection, which causes its hosts to transform into zombie-like creatures and collapses society. The second season, based on the 2020 game The Last of Us Part II, follows Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) five years after the events of the first season, and introduces Abby (Kaitlyn Dever).Support the show

Waarom werd de video binnen no time offline gehaald?

In today's Daily Fix:A report from Windows Central details Microsoft's next-gen Xbox plans, and they include not only a new console, but two handhelds, one of which is due later this year. Microsoft has yet to comment on the report, but some of the details do line up with what Xbox's Phil Spencer said at IGN Live last year, that the company won't have its own handheld ready for at least a couple of years. In other news, Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann spoke with filmmaker Alex Garland about the upcoming sci-fi game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and how religion plays a big role in the game's story. And finally, images and video from a new Battlefield playtest have leaked onto reddit, and EA doesn't seem to mind?
We're on the verge of the second season of HBO's The Last of Us, and yet new questions percolate about whether we'll ever see another game in Naughty Dog's vaunted series. In a recent interview, Neil Druckmann told fans "don't bet on there being more," which is both alluringly ominous and obviously vague. That's good news for us, though, since it gives us plenty to discuss. Do we need more? Do we want more? Should we get more? Plus: Rumors are ramping up about one-time Xbox titan Gears of War migrating to PlayStation 5 later this year, while details related to Firesprite's cancelled Twisted Metal project have leaked. Also: PlayStation 2 turns 25 years old in Japan, Until Dawn Remake studio Ballistic Moon goes belly-up, a key Bungie designer joins Guerrilla, Monster Hunter Wilds smashes Capcom sales records, and more. Finally: Listener inquiries! Is it possible that Grand Theft Auto VI fails to meet either critical or commercial expectations, or perhaps both? What are our reflections on PS5 Pro now that we've had our own for some months? Should Canadians stop buying games from American publishers and developers in retaliation of US tariffs? Will Colin ever forgive his brother for continuously referring to himself as "The Dagster"? In today's Daily Fix: HBO's The Last of Us Season 2 will be dropping soon, but fans of the franchise hoping for a Part 3 of the game might be waiting a long, long time. Like forever. Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann recently told Variety that a Part 3 may never happen. However, Part 2's TV adaptation will go on for at least two seasons, so fans have that to look forward to. In other news, Marvel 1943's Black Panther recently let slip the game's tentative release window: Christmas 2025. While an official release date hasn't been given, a holiday launch doesn't seem too unreasonable. And finally, Nintendo just won another major lawsuit, this time against counterfeit Amiibo sellers. Nintendo and Amazon teamed up to take down sellers peddling Amiibo cards and other devices that mimic Amiibo functionality. Nintendo won with a judgement of $7 million, but since none of the accused responded to the lawsuit, we're not sure how Nintendo is going to collect.
