This is Lena Winter, creator of The Adventures of Sir Rodney the Root, which is about a knight named Gilbert just trying to do the right thing. The right thing in this case happens to be completing a quest for powerful magical relics to restore the titular tubular character, Sir Rodney, to his human form. Unfortunately, adding to the gargantuan challenge, Gilbert finds himself saddled with a rag-tag group of Companions: a sassy elven Court Mage named Faendyr, the headstrong human princess, Camilla, Bianka, a dwarven thief with as many tricks up her sleeve as she has secrets, a human child named Colin, whose strange abilities- and personality- may be explained by the fact he spent a century kidnapped by faeries, a rat named Kevin, who only Colin can understand, and Keanu, a stoner unicorn who everyone can understand. Will they complete their convoluted fetch quest and return Sir Rodney to human form? One thing is for sure, it's going to be a crazy adventure along the way. This is episode 8, Hello, Mr. Prisoner. So far, the Companions have discovered one of the Relics, a staff called The Consumer of Flesh - “Fleshy” as Faendyr calls it for short. They've arrived at the storied court of the immortal Eternal Empress of the powerful Elven Imperium in search of the last Relic they need: a ring known as The Hungering Band. Faendyr had refused to accompany them into the city, and entrusted “Fleshy” to Gilbert. The previous episode ended with Faendyr being dragged into the palace, in chains. The Companions are about to discover they are not the only ones with an interest in the powerful magical objects. Thank you for listening.
