Tonight's guest, Cam, was featured on Episodes 528, 542, & 559. On Episode 528, he told us about the night his white American bulldog, named Dallas, gave his life to protect Cam from a Dogman that attacked him. After that show aired, Cam came back on the show to update us on new encounters he'd had with that same Dogman. On his latest show, Episode 559, he told us about the final showdown he had with that Dogman. Well, a few weeks ago, he reached back out to me to let me know about a shocking development. His grandmother had a very frightening encounter with the same Dogman that Cam had all of those encounters with when she was only 12-years-old. She kept that from Cam until about a month ago. On tonight's show, not only is Cam going to talk about his new puppy, Theodore, he's also going to go into depth about the encounter his grandmother had. We hope you'll tune in and listen to him do that.MY NEW DOGMAN PODCAST!My new podcast is called "Dogman Tales.” It features fictional stories about Dogmen and people who have experiences with them. Tonight's guest, Bo Reynolds, saw a Sasquatch crossing a road in Harlan County, Kentucky, in 1983. Seeing that Sasquatch was a shock for him because he didn't think they actually existed. What he watched the Sasquatch go on to do, however, shocked him even more. That's because what he watched that Sasquatch do was, in his mind, impossible. It did it, though, and that's one of the things Bo is going to talk about, on tonight's show. We hope you'll tune in and listen to him do that.If you've had at least one Sasquatch sighting and would like to be a guest on the show, please go to BigfootEyewitness.com and let me know. Do your monsters sometimes stage a take-over, hurting you and others? If your monsters could help you live more of the life you want to live, would you get to know them, and invite them in? What about sharing them with a trusted partner in a thoughtful, conscious process?Ken did, and it made him cry, right here in the podcast - tears of relief for the possibility of realizing potential. We're talking about letting in our darker parts, and how much our lives can expand when we do.In this episode, we talk about:— What shadow work actually is and why Carl Jung's metaphor is so powerful yet simple— How our "monsters" operate autonomously when we don't acknowledge them— The relief that comes from finally recognizing and taking responsibility for our shadow aspects— Why personifying our shadow material can make it easier to work with— How kink and shadow work can intertwine as psychological practices— The difference between engaging with the "regalia" of kink versus the psychological depth— Why creating psychological safety is essential before doing shadow work with a partner— How projection reveals our shadow material in relationships— The importance of accepting enjoyment of shadow aspects without endorsing harmful behaviors— Why shadow work is a lifelong spiral rather than a circle we keep traveling— Ways to engage with your shadow independently if your partner isn't interested in this workResources mentioned in this episode:— Joli's Sexual Shadow Masterclass— The Avett Brothers - The Perfect Space— Suzanne Vega - Don't Uncork What You Can't ContainJOIN The Year Of Opening® community for a full year of learning & support. In this episode, Brian welcomes John from Indiana for a gripping conversation that dives headfirst into the strange, unsettling, and deeply fascinating edges of the paranormal. John shares his journey from lifelong skeptic to reluctant believer, a transformation sparked by a ghost hunt at the Randolph County Infirmary that challenged everything he thought he knew. From there, the experiences only escalate. He recounts chilling encounters in Ohio's Tar Hollow State Park, where unexplained stenches, heavy movements, and unnatural sounds hinted at something far from ordinary—possibly even Bigfoot itself. The conversation takes a darker turn as John describes a terrifying late-night drive that brought him face-to-face with a gray, humanoid figure crossing the road, an encounter eerily reminiscent of what many refer to as a “pale crawler.”Together, Brian and John explore possible explanations for these phenomena, weaving in theories involving ancient Native American mounds, burial sites, and the idea that certain locations may act as catalysts for high strangeness. John also introduces his podcast, Myths, Monsters, and the Unexplained, where he continues to investigate cryptids, folklore, and firsthand encounters that refuse to fit neatly into our understanding of reality. This episode blurs the line between skepticism and belief and asks the question: what happens when the unexplained starts following you home?Myths Monsters and Mullets YouTube ChannelGet Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.

What happens when a past wrong refuses to stay buried? In this episode, I dive into The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones, a modern horror novel that twists familiar haunting and revenge tropes into something deeply unsettling, emotionally sharp, and completely its own. After falling in love with The Indian Lake Trilogy, I spent about a year working my way up to this book, where many readers first encounter Stephen Graham Jones' unmistakable voice. And wow… this one delivers. We'll talk about:• Why Jones' authorial voice is so unique in the horror space• How this novel reimagines haunting and revenge• His continued fascination with (and reinvention of) the final girl trope• Why this is a quick, low-commitment read that still hits hard• And why I think this is a great first Stephen Graham Jones book for new readersThis is horror that lingers — not just because of what it shows you, but because of what it asks you to sit with afterward. If you've read The Only Good Indians, I'd love to hear your take in the comments. And if this is your first time considering Stephen Graham Jones… this might be the perfect place to start.⸻

A recent Los Angeles Times article has reignited worldwide interest in the Black Dahlia murder, spotlighting an amateur sleuth's theory that attempts to link the case to the Zodiac Killer—and naming Marvin Margolis as a “new” prime suspect. But Marvin Margolis is not new.In this bonus episode, we're joined once again by author William J. Mann, whose extensively researched new book, Black Dahlia: Murder, Monsters, and Madness in Midcentury Hollywood, is released today. Long before the headlines, Mann identified Margolis as the strongest—and most credible—suspect in the history of the case.In this follow-up interview, Mann responds directly to the recent media coverage, clarifies what his investigation does and does not support, and explains why decades of armchair detective theories have often missed the mark. This episode cuts through the noise to restore context, credit, and clarity—placing today's headlines against the backdrop of years of original investigative work.Listen to the Once Upon a Crime series, Broken: The Black Dahlia Murderhttps://www.truecrimepodcast.com/introducing-broken-the-black-dahlia-murder-a-once-upon-a-crime-original-series/About the Book:Black Dahlia: Murder, Monsters, and Madness in Midcentury Hollywood By William J.
