In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain and sharing the real story behind my business.Mid-October marks five years since I took action on the idea of starting my own online presence — which eventually grew into the business I run today. It's wild to look back and see how far things have come!I was inspired to record this episode after watching a video from MrBeast, where he created clips saying “hi future me” in 5 and 10 years. Something about that really made me pause and reflect on my own journey — how it all began, how much has changed, and the countless lessons along the way.Sometimes people assume success happens overnight… but that's rarely the case. In this episode, I'm opening up about:The early days of starting from scratch with no audienceThe fears and doubts I had to overcome to take the first stepHow I slowly turned an idea into a thriving business that now helps moms all over the worldThe faith and persistence that kept me going when things felt unclear or slowThis is my honest, behind-the-scenes journey of how it all began — and I hope it encourages you to take that small step of obedience God is putting on your heart, even if you don't see the full picture yet.

When a warning light appears on your car's dashboard, you know something needs attention under the hood. Binge eating works exactly the same way. It's not a sign you're broken or lack willpower, it's your body saying, "Hey, something deeper needs your attention."The trouble is, most people try to "fix" binge eating by focusing on the food itself. They restrict harder, set more rules, and grit their teeth through cravings. But that approach is like slapping duct tape over your dashboard light and pretending the problem's solved. In this episode, binge eating coach Jane Pilger returns to help you get under the hood and understand what's really driving your binges. She explains the top reasons binging occurs, how to recognize when your nervous system is dysregulated, signs you're not eating enough, and the safety paradox that keeps you stuck in fear around certain foods. Jane also shares practical tools to regulate your energy, reconnect with your body, and build lasting peace with food.ReferencesSign up for Jane's workshop: The Tell-Tale Signs a Binge is Coming (and How to Break the Cycle) Binge Breakthrough Mini SeriesThe Binge Eating Breakthrough PodcastJane's Book: The Binge Eating Breakthrough Ep. 75: Why You Binge and How to Stop with Jane PilgerAudio Stamps01:00 - Jane introduces her "under the hood" approach to understanding binge eating and why it's a signal rather than something to shame.04:17 - The inspiration behind writing The Binge Eating Breakthrough book and companion workbook, and why practical implementation matters.06:20 - The top reasons binging occurs: shame and judgment as the #1 barrier, restriction, nervous system dysregulation, and internal dialogue.12:30 - How to recognize if your nervous system is dysregulated through energy levels in your body and emotional signals.16:56 - Jane shares three powerful questions to help you tune into your body and understand what you actually need in the moment.19:13 - Practical tools for regulating your nervous system and releasing energy in healthy ways.35:10 - Jane shares three powerful questions to help you tune into your body and understand what you actually need in the moment. All of the information on this podcast is for general informational purposes only. As the Iron Curtain was coming down in Eastern Europe in the 1990s, the gospel was on the move. Many in the “orthodox” churches were spiritually numb; they never read the Bible, never heard the gospel preached, and were, as a consequence, never changed by the Word of the King. But a gospel revival began as the Curtain fell, and those who came to a faith in Christ that transformed them were often mocked. They were called by a nickname called “repenters” for they were marked by soft hearts, their profound grief over their sins, and their willingness to turn from anything, everything, in their whole-hearted embrace of a completely new life as citizens of the Kingdom of God. I wonder if anyone would call us repenters? Let's find out Sunday!

0:00–15:00 — Cold open, the Wheel spins, and cursed parrots + creepy woods The rules of the game: rack up points to reach the “Tower of Truth,” fall short and it's back to the “Land of Lunacy.” First spin delivers a wild mini-doc: opium-addicted parrots raiding poppy fields in India—farmers can't stop them, and the birds crash hard when harvest ends. Sam lays out a “don't celebrate anyone's death” rant (framed around the online pile-on over Charlie Kirk), pointing at how elites love when we fight each other. Then we shift spooky: a Southern-Gothic “Granny's rules for the woods” reading—don't follow lights, don't answer your name, and if the dog won't enter, neither should you. 15:00–30:00 — Feel-good pet city → hot-button “Enhanced Games” Live chat asks about an over-the-counter aid for autistic kids; Sam promises to circle back before the end. Wholesome palate cleanser: a guy who's spent two years building a miniature town for his pets—pure internet serotonin. Big pivot: the “Enhanced Games”—a no-testing, PED-friendly league with track, swimming, and weightlifting; they even tout a record that beats an Olympic gold medalist's time. We kick around the ethics and the rubber-neck appeal. 30:00–45:00 — Viral 9/11 cheer routine in Texas + “UFO disclosure” talk We watch the jaw-dropper of the night: a high-school 9/11 cheer routine (complete with Pentagon gags and a smoke machine). The crowd reaction is… complicated, and so is ours. That segues into a guest clip arguing we're at the “finish line” of UFO disclosure thanks to recent legislation and hearings—skepticism included. 45:00–60:00 — 27 Club lore → Moon orbs → “they're selling our crap back to us” The Wheel lands on the “27 Club”: Brian Jones to Amy Winehouse, numerology riffs, and whether the pattern is myth, math, or something darker. Space weirdness break: a backyard telescope video shows a flashing red light with orbs circling the Moon—cue uneasy vibes and Moon-truth jokes. Sam cracks that Big Pharma is literally “selling our crap back to us,” after a clip about, uh, very bodily-based treatments—you get the idea. 60:00–75:00 — Sam's Corner mailbag, Satanism/Saturnism, and MKUltra/Stargate Follow-up for the dad in chat: the supplement name shared is “leucovorin” (spelled out on-air so parents can note it). A former “satanic organization” insider clip claims an evolving “agenda” through 2027—our hosts react and relate it to broader cultural patterns. Occult detour: “Satanism is Saturnism,” symbolism breakdowns (the goat, magic squares, pop-culture sigils). Then we hit MKUltra and the Army's Stargate remote-viewing program—mind control vs. psychic espionage, and what the government actually studied. 75:00–90:00 — Victory lap to 3,500 live → one last jaw-dropper → sign-off We crest 3,500 live viewers; Sam wonders if we just did our greatest episode ever, then vows to get off an “unholy number” on the wheel and into Sam's Corner. Final short: a protest-style clip that starts as “we won't be silenced” and swerves into a provocative chant—ending the show on a spicy note. Curtain call and thanks—what a ride. In this episode, we cover: At 39 weeks pregnant with baby #9, I'm reflecting on labor patterns and what I've noticed over the years Why I'm really hoping for a daytime labor this time and how mindset can change the pain of contractions What Christmas morning looks like in our house with so many kids and how I've felt both joy and overwhelm around the holidays The real answer to what number of kids is “easier” or “harder,” and why perspective makes all the difference My laid-back approach to teething, baby-led weaning, first foods, picky eaters, sunscreen, Tylenol How I currently handle fermenting sourdough with stretch-and-folds, my everyday breads, and why bagels are my go-to when I'm short on time Behind the scenes of content creation: how I've kept up with weekly videos and avoided burnout through different seasons Why I keep baby items minimal, how I store what we do use, and my experience with toddlers and breakables View full show notes on the blog + watch this episode on YouTube. When nineteen-year-old Patty Hearst was kidnapped from her apartment in February 1974, everyone assumed the heiress had been abducted for the purposes of ransom. However, in the days that followed, Hearst's kidnappers, the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA), made themselves known when they sent a letter demanding the Hearst family provide food to every needy family in California. For nearly two months, the SLA held Patty Hearts captive, or so it seemed to the public. But when the group's demands were met and Hearst was given the opportunity to leave, the teenager shocked the world when, rather than flee her captors, she joined their ranks in support of their cause. Hearst's decision set in motion a chain of events that resulted in several acts of explosive violence and forever changed the way we think about victims of kidnapping. Yet in all the analysis of the case over the last fifty years, one question remains unanswered, and possibly unanswerable: Was Patty Hearst a willing accomplice to the SLA or was she a brainwashed victim trying to survive a traumatic ordeal?Thank you to the Amazing Dave White (of BRING ME THE AXE PODCAST) for research and writing assistance!ReferencesAssociated Press. 1974.
