On this episode of Bingeworthy, host Mike DeAngelo is joined by Director Chris Weaver and Wrestling Superstar Bianca Belair to talk about “WWE Unreal,” Netflix's new docu-series that finally takes fans inside the machine behind professional wrestling. For the first time, WWE allows cameras into its most sacred spaces, including the writer's room, backstage before matches, and the constantly shifting road to WrestleMania, showing the creative chaos and real emotional toll that powers one of the most watched weekly dramas in the world. The series comes from NFL Films (“Quarterback,” “Receiver”), with Chris Weaver serving as director. Weaver didn't consider himself a die-hard wrestling fan going in, but that distance became part of the creative advantage. “I wasn't this huge fan dropping in and trying to overdo it, but our other showrunner Erik Powers is an encyclopedic fan,” Weaver said. “It was a good dynamic. I could be the outsider voice, and he could be in the weeds.”

Although South Louisiana does not provide the easiest growing conditions, when fueled by passion and obsession, it's amazing what can be done. On this week's show, we introduce you to some real alternative thinkers who are successfully cultivating the unusual and the exotic. We begin with a trip to the SG Tiki Farm just across the state line in Pearlington, Mississippi. There, Chef Ernie Foundas grows exotic fruits and vegetables used in the dishes he serves at his restaurant in New Orleans' Bywater neighborhood, Suis Generis. With a passion for sustainability, both Ernie and his partner Adrienne Bell use every scrap of food to achieve a zero-waste model in their restaurant. Then, we head down to New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward to meet bamboo guru Mark Sanders – founder of Ninth Ward Nursery. He tells the story of turning his bamboo obsession into a business. Finally, get ready to see bamboo on your dinner plate. We chat with Kay Koppedrayer, author of Cooking With Bamboo, who shares how she came to make bamboo part of her family's diet and how you can do the same. Ahead of Alphabet's (GOOGL) earnings, Craig Warnimont talked about the extensive focus it and other Big Tech firms will place on A.I. and data center spending. He says tax benefits help justify businesses spending tens of billions of dollars. Craig adds that all Mag 7 earnings should be treated independently, though guidance will play a big role for all of them. Who does your Christianity point people to? God is just in His wrath and in His grace. Yet, as the church we often hide behind our own Christian curtain and fail to reveal the true grace of God to the world. Pastor Heath takes us behind the "Christian Curtain" to see why a diverse, humble and honest church truly shows the world the glory of God.

On this episode of The Last Resort, host Christina Jelski talks with Philippa (Pip) Clarke, head of Caribbean for U.K.-based Hummingbird Travel, about her recent visit to Curtain Bluff in Antigua. Clarke reveals why this Antiguan resort’s approach to all-inclusive luxury—complete with multiple sommeliers, rotating a la carte menus and pickleball—keeps families and couples returning year after year. She also discusses topics like dinnertime dress codes and how Curtain Bluff successfully maintains these types of traditional elements, while continuing to evolve with changing guest expectations. Additionally, Clarke shares her process for matching clients to the right Caribbean property, especially when working with those “vague inquiries” that simply ask for “all-inclusive in the Caribbean.”Currently in its third season, The Last Resort is a monthly hospitality-focused podcast brought to you by Travel Weekly. In each episode, travel advisors share their first impressions of the last resort they visited. The eighth episode of the third season will be posted on August 11. “Once you start understanding someone as a person, not a role, it's impossible to make them a villain anymore.” — Christina Adams Today's episode of Uncorking a Story shines the light on co-authors Anthony and Christina Adams—writing as A.C. Adams—who unpack the personal odyssey that inspired their debut novel, Chasing Shadows. Fueled by Christina's search for her vanished father and the shocking truth behind his secret double life, the couple shares how trauma, love, and forgiveness shaped both their storytelling and their souls. From Emmy-winning productions to Broadway dreams, this episode is a testament to creative healing. Key Takeaways: Art Imitates Life, Then Heals It: Chasing Shadows began as a real-life investigation into a father's disappearance but evolved into a fictional exploration of abandonment, identity, and reconciliation. Behind the Curtain of a Secret Life: Christina discovered her father had been a secret Catholic priest involved with an obscure Vatican-linked order—raising questions about faith, duty, and deception. The Emotional Truth Matters More Than the Facts: Though inspired by real events, the novel focuses on emotional authenticity, exploring how trauma reshapes relationships and self-perception. Creativity as Catharsis: Writing the novel served as a form of therapy for Christina, allowing her to transform betrayal into understanding and anger into empathy. Screenwriters Set Free: For two industry veterans, novel writing offered a liberating shift from screenplay constraints—letting them dig deeper into character psychology and emotional nuance. A Cinematic Blueprint in Book Form: With its visual storytelling and taut structure, Chasing Shadows was crafted to resonate as both literature and a future limited series. Breaking the Publishing Mold: Their choice of a hybrid publisher allowed for creative control and a streamlined path to publication, reflecting a changing landscape in storytelling. Ret FBI Counterintelligence Chief Pulls Back The Curtain On The Epstein List Scandal DESCRIPTION: In this unflinching deep dive, retired FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke returns to pull back the curtain on what may be the biggest unresolved scandal in modern justice: the Epstein list, the silence surrounding it, and the calculated choreography behind what the public is—and isn't—allowed to know. From a front-row seat inside federal intelligence operations, Dreeke offers rare insight into how real investigations work when power, politics, and optics collide. He discusses how the government can technically tell the truth while concealing reality, how public trust is manipulated, and how the Epstein investigation became less about justice—and more about survival. This episode doesn't just rehash talking points. It pulls at the operational seams: why the list matters, what the government gains by denying its existence, and what behavioral cues insiders can spot that suggest something deeper is still being hidden. Is it a list? A binder? A network? A liability? Dreeke doesn't just speculate—he lays out what should have happened, what likely did happen, and what it means that we're still talking about Epstein in whispers, not indictments. This one's for the listeners who want clarity, not just controversy. #EpsteinScandal #RobinDreeke #HiddenKillers #TonyBrueski #FBIInsider #JeffreyEpstein #GovernmentTransparency #MaxwellTrial #EliteAccountability #TrueCrimePodcast #BehavioralAnalysis #UnsealedTruths #EpsteinList Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Tom and co-host Drew dive deep into a jam-packed week of controversy, conspiracy, and current events. They kick things off with the latest whirlwind around the long-awaited Epstein list, exploring why both the FBI and political powers might be protecting it, and what this means for public trust. The conversation expands to America's fiscal cliff, with Tom making a bold prediction about the nation's trajectory toward bankruptcy and breaking down the complex mechanics of money printing, modern monetary theory, and why the middle class continues to shrink. Drew and Tom debate the viability and timing of a third political party—especially one helmed by a figure like Elon Musk—and examine the populist moment currently sweeping America and the globe. They don't shy away from tough topics like U.S. immigration policy, touching on recent ICE raids and anti-American protests in Mexico City, as well as the ripple effects of unchecked migration. “You Will Get Sick” by Noah Diaz is quirky and unpredictable but follows a path that will become most familiar. It's the perfect blend of drama, power and surprise that has made Steppenwolf Theatre the gem it has been for a generation in Chicago and, of course on Broadway as well, as the Tonys pile up! […]
The multi-Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize for Drama winning Musical “RENT” by Jonathan Larson comes to life from the Highland Park Players playing at McGrath Performing Arts Center in Wilmette from July 18-27. Send us a textThis show reflects on what it means to see the future too clearly and the cost of carrying that vision alone.A few weeks ago, America burned on the monitor behind me. Cameras rolled in Santa Monica. Steve Drobny, founder of Clocktower Group, advisor in global hedge funds, told me to sit straight, but I didn't care. We discussed the future and America's possibly undead economy. The previous night, a girl at a Venice Beach bar asked where I'm from. “The future,” I replied. She was 30, blond, beautiful blue eyes, an image I haven't shaken off. When you return from the future, you're never whole. Details are too sharp, too strange. People blink. They don't want to hear it. That's why I wear goggles. That's why they call me unhinged.Knowing what's next doesn't give control. It gives doubt. It exiles you from Main Street.I vibed on John Buchan's The Gap in the Curtain. A country house, a strange German professor, a handful of guests glimpsing a year ahead. One sees a financial headline. Distant words that unravel everything. Once you've seen what's coming, you carry it like a tumor made of light.I drew a line from that story to Saint Peter in Gethsemane. His denial wasn't betrayal; it was fear dressed as certainty. The same fear I see in markets, politics, people I've loved. We say "impossible" when scared. But the future doesn't knock. It slides in through the back door. Think of me as The Back Door Man.That's the curse, not that no one believes you, but that eventually, you stop believing yourself. Our conversation shifted between memories: Blanc Bleu, my house in St. Barts, Bitcoin, bond markets, old debates with giants like Niall Ferguson. Moments I stood and said what no one wanted to hear.Being early feels like being wrong until the chart catches up.The Curse of Knowing isn't about money, it's about myth. Trading safety for clarity. Leaving comfort to speak truths no one's ready for. It's about friends reunited, because ultimately, the only constants are those you love(d).HughSupport the show⬇️ Subscribe on Patreon or Substack for full episodes ⬇️https://www.patreon.com/HughHendryhttps://hughhendry.substack.comhttps://www.instagram.com/hughhendryofficialhttps://blancbleustbarts.comhttps://www.instagram.com/blancbleuofficial⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Leave a five star review and comment on Apple Podcasts!

“What am I to charge this much?” “Who do I think I am?” “No one is going to pay for this!” Many women business owners have had the same doubts — and these doubts can stop us from realising the success that we want. The hidden emotions behind our pricing strategy need to be addressed – because they do nothing but keep you stuck and prevent your ideal clients from receiving the transformation you offer. In this episode, we are talking about why your pricing isn't the actual problem, how to uncover and manage the emotions that are influencing your decisions, and the pricing mistakes that most people make – that YOU can avoid. Here's What You'll Learn in the Episode: -> Why competitor-based pricing and following the market can keep you stuck and undervalued (even though it's what we're “taught” to do!) -> The 2 BIGGEST pricing mistakes I see women business owners making over and over again -> How fear and guilt can disguise themselves as other, more logical or compassionate emotions -> The clear signs that it is time to raise your prices (if you've clicked on this episode, it's likely past time ) -> How to build a ladder of access for your ideal clients (and how to serve more people without undercharging) -> The 7 steps to building a healthier, more confident relationship with your pricing and finances -> How to move from “Will they pay this??” to “Will the right people see this?” -> And so, so much more. What if the “therapist” you're pouring your heart out to… isn't a therapist at all? In this jaw-dropping episode of the Love, Happiness and Success Podcast, I'm joined by investigative journalists Rebecca Ruiz and Lauren Krause to expose the shocking truth behind Seven Cups Therapy and the dark world of therapy fraud—including unlicensed “helpers,” fake reviews, and predatory chatrooms masquerading as support. This isn't just about bad advice or unqualified "virtual counselors." It's about real people being misled, emotionally exploited, and sometimes even preyed upon while they're at their most vulnerable. We dive into how this happens, how to protect yourself (or someone you care about), and how to tell the difference between a real therapist and a clever imposter. If you've ever Googled "online therapy" late at night and clicked on what looked like a trustworthy, affordable platform, you NEED to hear this. On this week's episode of Grumpy Old Geeks, we kick things off with the glorious meltdown of two of our least favorite Bond villains: Elon Musk and Donald Trump. Not only is their public pissing match tanking Tesla's market cap, but now Trump's launching a crypto wallet to… fund freedom? Or at least funnel it straight to his latest shell game. Meanwhile, someone at DOGE admitted the U.S. government wasn't entirely incompetent, so naturally, they got fired. Efficiency is un-American, after all.In the news, Ukraine leveled up with an unprecedented drone blitz on Russian airbases using—you guessed it—open source software. GitHub just became a geopolitical weapon. Back home, Nebraska wants to unplug your kids, Florida's trying (and failing) to legislate dopamine, and Tesla's panicking that their crash data might expose how their “Full Self-Driving” is really just short bus autopilot. And because the AI dystopia train never stops: OpenAI's bot is recommending meth to recovering addicts, Meta's replacing humans with risk-assessing algorithms, and one “AI startup” turned out to be 700 dudes in Bangalore with a decent VPN. Cue the dramatic zoom on Diabolus Ex Machina.Media Candy this week is a buffet: Downton Abbey finally closes up shop, Stranger Things 5 sets a date, and Foundation still sucks. Marc Maron's locking the gates for good, Garbage drops a surprisingly optimistic album, and Hollywood's quietly been using AI like it's a studio intern who doesn't need sleep. Over in The Library, Jason's back with Hitchhiker's Guide and Brian dives in to Michael Palin's Python diaries—because reading actual books is still a thing, damn it. Plus: Dave Bittner wants to “go antiquing” with Amy Sedaris with a Ben Franklin playbook. Closing shout-outs go to the legendary Loretta Swit—Hot Lips forever—and yes, we finally answer the question nobody asked: what is under a Jawa's hood?Sponsors:Private Internet Access - Go to GOG.Show/vpn and sign up today.
