The 2010 election led to the first peacetime coalition government in Britain since 1931. It occurred in the midst of a financial crisis, with Britain facing a large budgetary deficit, necessitating a period of austerity. The mid-term elections for the year 2010 are arguably the most critical of this young century. The age of Obama has produced circumstances and unintended consequences that none of us could have foreseen. In this upcoming election, every vote counts in a way and manner that has perhaps never occurred before. At stake is the direction of a nation in which the pundits, 24 hour news cycle, talk radio, internet blogs, special interest groups and the established political parties have failed to act in the best interest of the public good. Sitting out this election by not voting is not the best way to make your voice and our community voices heard. We'll talk about early voting, absentee voting, voting on election day and what are the individual responsibilities of American Citizens relative to voting in a free, democratic, representative democracy.
