On Hour 2 of The FAN Morning Show, hosts Ben Ennis and Brent Gunning welcome on MLB Network's Jon Morosi on his way back from Seattle where he covered the Mariners-Astros series. He shares his thoughts on the playoff picture in the American League and what the Blue Jays need to do this weekend to position themselves for that Wild Card round. Later on, the morning duo chew on the comments made by Bryce Harper after yet another egregious call by Angel Hernandez. Next, Ben and Brent turn their attention to the NFL with Charles Davis of CBS Sports (27:19)! He takes a look at the Week 4 schedule of games to tee up the key matchups and storylines to watch this weekend, before offering his thoughts on last night's big win for the Lions at Lambeau Field. As always, this hour wraps up with our daily Wake and Rake parlay. Hour 2 on The Fan Morning Show starts off resetting on the Blue Jays, who dropped the first two games against the Yankees after facing two very good pitchers. Does that drop your confidence in the team if they do make the postseason? Ben and Brent also look at if Rogers Centre offers any sort of home field advantage for the team, especially after Brandon Belt asked for fans to make noise last night. Maybe that's why Spencer Strider prefers no fans?! Next up, Sportsnet's Jason Bukala checks in from Hockeyville in St. Thomas to chat about some of the Maple Leafs' young talent and projections for this upcoming season. This hour wraps up with our daily Wake and Rake parlay. The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the position of Rogers Sports & Media or any affiliates.

Contemporary artist Elsa James moves through the Museum of London Docklands' London, Sugar & Slavery gallery - and so, the missing histories of the 17th and 18th centuries - in her 2023 film, Living in the Wake of the Lust for Sugar. In 2023, the Museum of London Docklands invited artist and activist Elsa James to make a disruptive intervention in their London, Sugar & Slavery gallery. Finding the enslaved African voice missing - from both this particular space, and museums more widely - Elsa shot a seven-minute film in shades of black and red, embedding in the space her personal, contemporary experience from the British African-Caribbean diaspora, as connected with the long history of the transatlantic slave trade. With movement, dance, and audio, Elsa reimagines the gallery as the galley of slave ship. Talking about the toppling of statues from Edward Colston to Robert Milligan, she details who controls historical narratives and memory, and why we should reconsider the history of transatlantic slavery as the history of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Elsa illuminates her neon ‘Ode to David Lammy MP' (2022), influences from Stuart Hall to Windrush thinkers, and the parallel othering of her home base, Essex, made apparent by her research into historical Black women like Princess Dinubolu, Hester Woodley, and Mary Prince. Drawing on her work with the International Slavery Museum, we discuss the importance of local and global collaborations in platforming a plurality of voices, problems with the commercial art market, plus her interdisciplinary practice, from neon signs to performance art. Living in the Wake of the Lust For Sugar is publicly available online, via the Museum of London Docklands website and social media. "The struggle is beautiful. It means you're in the midst of separating good from great." - Eddie Pinero In this week's motivational video, I share how some of my most profound lessons came wrapped in the disguise of migraine headaches. Emerging from the haze of debilitating pain I truly began to see with clarity—an appreciation for the simplicity of a pain-free existence, for the often taken-for-granted baseline of daily life. Sometimes it seems that we only appreciate things when they're taken away. So appreciate the beauty of now, go forward, take chances, our souls need it. Time is relentless; life is unfolding at this very moment, right here, right now. Don't leave your dreams for sleep, nor keep gratitude on standby for the ‘what ifs.' The stage is set, the world awaits your move, and the show? It starts right now.
In this week's episode, we dive into the numerology of three, six and nine. Nikola Tesla was quoted, “If you knew the magnificence of the three, six and nine, you would have a key to the universe.” Maggie shares the foundation of these numbers through their relationships to the Tarot and universal meanings of numbers. Could it be that these numbers allow you to explore yourself as a divine and cosmic being? Are you the creator of your own life? Can these numbers support your own unique divine nature? Numbers hold the keys to the Universe and all esoteric wisdom. Wake up to the power of the divine creative matrix of the three, the unification and harmony of the six, and the completion and fullness of the nine! lots of control and badly behaved dogs out there, so mention training, and folks sometimes get on the defensive with the whole, "I don't want a robot dog" What does that mean, you currently have an out-of-control dog and a quiet often aggressive dog.

The goddamn @nyjets everyone can see that #zachwilson isn't the answer at #quarterback except for the men controlling the team. The biggest name in NYJ history is #joenamath & that was #1969 the year of my birth. That's the face of the franchise. There has been moments. But that's the teams only #superbowl appearance. They've come close but no cigar. There is talent on this team. This is #professional #football not #littleleague and it's time to act like an #nfl team for the fans. For everyone. They could have beaten the @patriots Sunday. Fifteen straight losses. And still #robertsaleh is sticking with Wilson. Wake up!!! All the hate for @CUBuffsFootball and #deionsanders it's one game. The team was 1-11 last year. #bonix is 32 years old and on his second college team with @oregonfootball that was a huge step up. This year has been a total success for the #buffs & @uscfb comes to town this weekend. Deion is great for #cfb2023 and added the punch it needed this season. Because let's be honest lot of parity this year. No true super team which I love. Anybody could win it. Even @texasfootball @partylikearochkind and Dom would love that. @mvillemustangfb get road win. #breannastewart @nyliberty have to win tonight #wnbaplayoffs or else. And the @TorontoRaptors are going to sign #damianlillard really this is finally going to happen? @yankees and @mets both don't qualify for the playoffs. Are we shocked? What a disaster for both #mlb teams this year. Disappointing to say the least. Will #aaronboone and #buckshowalter both get the boot? I say Buck yes, Aaron no. #halsteinbrenner is not his dad. He's a businessman not an owner. Only cares about the bottom line. All sports. One podcast. (even hockey) PODCAST LINK ON ITUNES: http://bit.ly/JDTSPODCAST
In Hour 2 of The FAN Morning Show, hosts Ben Ennis and Brent Gunning start on the Blue Jays, who return home for the final six games of the season, and discuss if the new Rogers Centre dimensions have helped or hurt the team's power-hitters this season. Later on, they turn their attention back to Toronto's NHL team with Sportsnet's Luke Fox, who was in attendance for last night's preseason game. They dive into how the Leafs looked early this year, how impressed everyone seems with Easton Cowan and what the club hopes John Klingberg can provide on the blue line (25:18). We wrap up this hour with Something to Chew On and our daily Wake and Rake parlay. The Kewanee City Council met on Monday night in Council Chambers at Kewanee City Hall. Mayor Gary Moore joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Tuesday to wrap up what occurred on Monday's agenda. Among the items discussed, there was an appropriations meeting prior to the regular City Council Meeting. Standard practice for a post-budget meeting, funds that were assigned to departments become officially assigned as appropriations. In the regular meeting, the City Council welcomed Dierdre Scott and Dianne Packee who announced the winners of a Gas Card auction that benefited Councilman Steve Faber who is still recovering from a double lung transplant. On the regular agenda for the meeting there were three rulings of of the Kewanee Zoning Board to look at and the Council approved two of the three based on the recommendations of the Zoning Board. And finally, the City of Kewanee has reached an agreement with State Senator Neil Anderson and State Representative Travis Weaver to share rented office space at the Kewanee Railroad Station.

Daniel and I talked about how sharing your message is important and taking a risk is key to success. From getting a ted talk to building a life you enjoy. Daniel cut his teeth in true sales and leadership early when at 18 years old he was selected for a summer internship program that brought him half way across the country to knock on doors selling books and educational resources 85+ hours a week straight commission paying his way through University. This led to another 6 summers of cold calling, knocking on over 25,000 doors and running an organization of over 60 salespeople while still recruiting, selling, developing and training his team as well. Since then he has consistently been a top 5% producer in every arena he has participated in building multiple businesses, helping others do the same and enjoying the ride every step of the way. Today, Daniel is an experienced and sought after coach who is an expert on the myths of time management, generating a referral-based business and living a life of intention. Daniel believes that his super power is in helping people cut out the noise of what society tells us to pursue by instead helping people identify for themselves what they truly want most in life and then helping them stick to the path to achieve it. In 2018 Daniel took the leap and started over building the coaching business from the ground up. Along the way he has impacted thousands of lives in person and virtually in multiple capacities. As a certified keynote speaker, trainer, coach and a nominee for Southwestern Consulting's Coach of the Year, Daniel has consistently partnered with professionals in multiple industries and coached them to the best year of their careers. When he is not pouring into his clients Daniel loves to spend time with his wife and two kids outside exploring the woods, playing music or pushing to that next level as an accomplished Ultra Endurance Athlete. Daniel is fascinated with the idea of human potential and he is currently training to break a personal record by running 110 miles In under 24 hours. m.youtube.com/watch?v=lb-BKOjaZXA

Social Determinants and your health. What is a Social Determinant? It can be anything outside of you that can have an effect on your health. For some people, not having a vehicle to travel to needed medical visits can be a 'Social Determinant,' it can affect your health if you are not getting to your regularly scheduled check ups. Other social determinants can be money related or food insecurity. Not being able to afford healthy food is a major social determinant for your health. That's why OSF Saint Luke Medical Center and OSF Healthcare across Illinois are taking time to talk about Social Determinants and create ways to help patients relieve the stress such Social Determinants can place on your healthcare and wellbeing. Resources such as the OSF Transportation hub or connecting patients with local food pantries, are ways OSF can help with Social Determinants. Samantha Rux discussed this topic on Monday's Wake Up Tri-Counties.
