Through Christ’s death for us and the activity of the Spirit praying for us, we are fused to God’s love poured out in Jesus Christ. Nothing, not even death itself, is able to separate us from such incredible divine love.Matthew 13:31-33, 44-52: Throughout Matthew’s gospel, Jesus and his disciples proclaim the good news that ‘the kingdom of heaven is near!’ Here, Jesus offers several brief parables that explore the implications of this announcement for people’s lives. ‘From Sunday & Seasons, copyright 2019 Augsburg Fortress’Questions To Ponder:1— If God promised to answer your prayer, what would you ask for? Why? (I Kings 3:5-12)2— How do you imagine the Spirit interceding? Does the Spirit pray like we do or work in us? (Rom 8:26-39)3— When or where have you seen a small act of faith magnified into something greater? (Matt 13:31-33, 44-52)4—How do these texts speak to you today?Prayer: Beloved and sovereign God, through the death and resurrection of your Son you bring us into your kingdom of justice and mercy. By your Spirit, give us your wisdom, that we may treasure the life that comes from Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.---------------Recorded by the staff and volunteers at St. Paul Lutheran Church - Borchers in Seymour, Indiana.http://www.stpaul-borchers.orgSubscribe to our podcast with weekly sermon, prayers and children's sermon recordings at http://podcast.stpaul-borchers.org/Office hours Monday, Wednesday and Friday morningsPhone 812-522-7364Office Email stpaullutheran@stpaul-borchers.orgFacebook Page https://www.facebook.com/stpaulborchers/--------------Permission to podcast the music in this service obtained from One License, License #731062-ASome copyrighted element(s) used by permission of Augsburg Fortress.Texts are reprinted by permission under Augsburg Fortress Liturgies Annual License Number: 36828
