Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! What if the path to real influence isn't climbing higher—but lowering yourself so others can be lifted up? In this message from 1 Peter 5:5-6, we explore Peter's call to "clothe yourselves with humility" and discover why humility is far more than simply being modest. It's a way of seeing others through God's eyes—recognizing their worth, dignity, and value—and choosing to elevate them above ourselves. Pastor Stetson unpacks how Jesus modeled this kind of humility, why God opposes pride, how God's grace flows toward the humble, and what it means to trust ourselves to God's mighty hand. In a world that constantly pushes us to get ahead, this message reminds us that true strength is found in lowering ourselves so others can rise. For prayer and to stay connected, please visit: https://www.cccgreeley.org For Giving: https://www.cccgreeley.org/give/ Discussion guide: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2026-6-20-21-Group-Discussion-Questions.pdf Tune In: A Father's Day Conversation

This summer, we explore themes from popular films alongside Scripture, uncovering how God's truth speaks through the stories we love. From adventure and sacrifice to redemption and hope, each week reminds us that God is present in every part of our story—inviting us into something greater. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring begins the epic journey of Frodo, a young, small, seemingly insignificant hobbit, as he sets out to help save his world from the further spread of evil. Epic narratives like The Lord of the Rings resonate so deeply with us because their heroes are often ordinary people—unlikely figures who remind us of ourselves. Pastor Karla connects the story to our lives by pointing out how it is hard feeling small in such a big world. God is with us in the adventure so we don't have to carry the whole quest alone.  Passage: Genesis 12:1-4 Full Lord of the Rings Clip 1 Full Lord of the Rings Clip 2 We have three worship opportunities for you to experience: 9:00 a.m. - Sanctuary Service 9:30 a.m. - Online Service 10:30 a.m. - Chapel Service  Please consider joining us for one of these services.  To view past worship services along with other digital content, go to our Youtube Channel @PointLomaChurchOnline.  To get involved in what God is doing within our community, please visit our website at www.pointlomachurch.org. We are jumping into a new series on Jonah. The book of Jonah isn't primarily about a fish--it's the story of a faithful God pursuing a wayward heart. Through Jonah, we will learn together about God's relentless mercy for everyone. Sometimes God sends storms not to punish us, but to rescue us.  So often, we examine or experience God's goodness and salvation in our lives from OUR perspective and the way it has benefitted  us. And why wouldn't we? It's OUR story!! And when we read the Bible we often read it from a perspective that also benefits us. Again, why wouldn't we? But this morning, we examine the passage for today from a unique perspective: not Jonah's, but the Ninevites. What led to such revival? What was going on that so many people repented and decided to live differently? This morning, Pastor Karla reveals how God's mercy reaches even the people we think are beyond saving. Sermon challenge: Who is your "Ninevite"-- the person or group you find hardest to love or forgive? How might you take steps of forgiveness this week? Passage: Jonah 3:5-10 We have three worship opportunities for you to experience: 9:00 a.m. Peter reminds us that sin isn't harmless or neutral—it weakens us, derails us from God's purposes, distorts our perspective, and causes us to forget who we ultimately belong to. But through Jesus, there is freedom, strength, and the opportunity to become who God created us to be. As we enter Holy Week, this message encourages us to wrestle honestly, serve faithfully, and trust God in the waiting. Link to the digital devotional: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Living-Hope-Devotional-Booklet.pdf For prayer and to stay connected, please visit: https://www.cccgreeley.org For Giving: https://www.cccgreeley.org/give/ Discussion guide: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/2026-3-28-29-Group-Discussion-Questions.pdf Baptism Weekend Is Coming—Here's What You Need to Know

We live in a shallow world with quick answers, constant motion, and noise both inside and out. Lent calls us deeper--beneath distraction, beneath habit, beneath self. In the Old Testament, God often led His people into deep work confronting what was broken, healing what was hidden, and shaping His people for wholeness. This Lent, we enter that same journey and allow God to go beneath our surface to connect us more to our Divine Design.  On this final Sunday of Lent before we celebrate Easter, Pastor Karla takes us through one of the most amazing stories in not only the Old Testament, but the entire Bible. A story of hope, redemption, and resurrection. She t points out that the God who works in the depths also brings new life from them. The deep work of Lent leads not to despair, but to hope for new life.  Passage: Ezekiel 37:1–14 We have three worship opportunities for you to experience: 9:00 a.m. Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! In a world where so many people feel like they don't belong, where do we find our true identity? In this message from our Lenten series in 1 Peter, we explore the powerful truth of who we are together in Christ. Writing to believers who felt like outsiders, Peter reminds them—and us—that our belonging isn't found in culture, preferences, or performance, but in something far more secure. This message invites us to step out of the fragile identities the world offers and into the unshakable identity we have in Jesus—an identity that transforms how we live, love, and relate to one another. No matter where you've come from or how you've been feeling, you belong to something bigger, stronger, and more meaningful than you may realize. Link to the digital devotional: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Living-Hope-Devotional-Booklet.pdf For prayer and to stay connected, please visit: https://www.cccgreeley.org For Giving: https://www.cccgreeley.org/give/ Discussion guide: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/2026-3-21-22-Group-Discussion-Questions.pdf Join Us in Celebrating Friendship Club

In the Old Testament, God often led His people into deep work confronting what was broken, healing what was hidden, and shaping His people for wholeness. This Lent, we enter that same journey and allow God to go beneath our surface to connect us more to our Divine Design.  During this fourth Sunday of Lent, we are now at a time 480 years after the Exodus event to the building of the Temple. It was a promise David made to God, and it was fulfilled by Solomon. At this dedication Solomon has a prayer, a moment in which he realizes the berevity of what they are doing in building this Temple, and we see what happens when the people (we) take our eyes of God as the center of our worship and our lives. This week, Pastor Karla discusses how deep work reorders our hearts so that God's presence is once again at the center. Healing happens when we face our pain, not when we run from it. Deep work means confronting what hurts and letting God's mercy transform it. Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! Spiritual growth isn't just measured by how often you pray, read your Bible, or attend church—it's revealed in how deeply you love others. In this message from 1 Peter 1:22–2:3, Pastor Alan explores Peter's call to “love one another deeply, from the heart,” showing that genuine spiritual maturity is rooted in relationships. As followers of Jesus, we already have the capacity to love well, but we must continually uproot the enemies of love and look to Jesus to meet our deepest needs. This sermon is a powerful reminder that when our hearts are nourished by Christ, we are freed to love others with sincerity, grace, and depth. Link to the digital devotional: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Living-Hope-Devotional-Booklet.pdf For prayer and to stay connected, please visit: https://www.cccgreeley.org For Giving: https://www.cccgreeley.org/give/ Discussion guide: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/2026-3-7-8-Group-Discussion-Questions.pdf Join Us for Easter at CCC — Service Times Inside

Peter reminds weary believers (and us) that our identity is not rooted in performance, approval, or success, but in the finished work of Jesus. Because we are redeemed, we are freed to live in reverent awe, freed from empty and inherited patterns of the past, and freed to anchor our hope in a living and loving God. When your value is already settled at the cross, you don't have to live to prove you matter—you're finally free to live. Link to the digital devotional: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Living-Hope-Devotional-Booklet.pdf For prayer and to stay connected, please visit: https://www.cccgreeley.org For Giving: https://www.cccgreeley.org/give/ Discussion guide: https://cccgreeley.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/2026-2-28-3-1-Group-Discussion-Questions.pdf
