We all face pain—whether it's loss, illness, anxiety, or feeling completely alone. Through a story of someone cast out from society and met with radical compassion, we're reminded that healing often begins not with answers—but with presence, courage, and taking that first step toward something (or someone) greater than the pain.Whether you've been wrestling with grief, burnout, or just trying to make sense of life, this is a message that meets you where you are.--Support content like this and the vision of Sandals Church at http://sandalschurch.com/support/Join our email list for content updates: http://sandalschurch.com/subscribeDownload the Sandals Church App: http://sandalschurch.com/app/If you have questions, need prayer or want to get connected, please email us anytime at online@sandalschurch.com!
Isaiah 41:21–42:5 (Listen) The Futility of Idols 21 Set forth your case, says the LORD; bring your proofs, says the King of Jacob.22 Let them bring them, and tell us what is to happen. Tell us the former things, what they are, that we may consider them, that we may know their outcome; or declare to us the things to come.23 Tell us what is to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods; do good, or do harm, that we may be dismayed and terrified.124 Behold, you are nothing, and your work is less than nothing; an abomination is he who chooses you. 25 I stirred up one from the north, and he has come, from the rising of the sun, and he shall call upon my name; he shall trample on rulers as on mortar, as the potter treads clay.26 Who declared it from the beginning, that we might know, and beforehand, that we might say, “He is right”? There was none who declared it, none who proclaimed, none who heard your words.27 I was the first to say2 to Zion, “Behold, here they are!” and I give to Jerusalem a herald of good news.28 But when I look, there is no one; among these there is no counselor who, when I ask, gives an answer.29 Behold, they are all a delusion; their works are nothing; their metal images are empty wind. The Lord's Chosen Servant 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.2 He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice, or make it heard in the street;3 a bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth justice.4 He will not grow faint or be discouraged3 till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law. 5 Thus says God, the LORD, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it: Footnotes [1] 41:23 Or that we may both be dismayed and see [2] 41:27 Or Formerly I said [3]
Hagar was overlooked, used, and cast aside. Alone in the wilderness, afraid and forgotten, she was met by the God who sees—not for what she could offer, but for who she truly was. He heard her cries, spoke her name, and gave her a future. That same God still meets the outsiders, the overlooked, and the unheard.Catch the latest sermon at bridge.tv/sermonsSupport the show

By Gary Petty - How to pass on virtue to children.

By Stephen Bouchette - Using stories as a teaching tool has existed for millennia. Jesus used stories to teach lessons with parables, but those who heard were not to understand. The understanding was for the disciples. That is, us. If we are the audience for His lessons, do we draw the appropriate lessons for ourselves
By Kenneth J Cline - It is one thing to declare freedom from slavery and quite another thing to actually be free from slavery. Even in the free world there is a slavery that holds people captive. God offers the ultimate freedom.
By Mark Welch - God has a lot to say to the seven churches of Revelation. What twelve lessons may we learn that we can apply today in our spiritual lives?
By John May - The identity of the modern descendants of the House of Israel, especially the descendants of Joseph, is a fundamental belief of the United Church of God. This message explores the promises of abundant material blessings and national greatness that God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and explains
Sometimes God gives us a glimpse of something so great that we fear. Some may try to convince us that we should give up faith because it is too good to be true, or that we should be afraid of something so magnificent. However, godly fear doesn't drive us away from God but to him. It is this fear of God that brings holiness to completion in our lives driving us to respond to the promises and presence of the living God by drawing near to the Lord Almighty. He is our joy. He is our peace. He is our fear.

Guilt is a weapon that comes against Christians. It is the subconscious need to be punished. When we have repented and put our sins under the blood of Jesus, God has forgotten our sins, but many times we have not. Guilt is not the conviction of the Holy Spirit. It is not a burden God wants us to bear.
By Jorge de Campos - We need to take every possible spiritual protection to withstand Satan's wiles to divide, conquer and destroy us.

Isaiah 40:27–31 (Listen) 27 Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD, and my right is disregarded by my God”?28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.29 He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;31 but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Psalm 28 To you, O Lord, I call; my rock, be not deaf to me, lest, if you be silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit. 2 Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy, when I cry to you for help, when I lift up my hands toward your most holy sanctuary. 3 Do not drag me off with the wicked, with the workers of evil, who speak peace with their neighbors while evil is in their hearts. 4 Give to them according to their work and according to the evil of their deeds; give to them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward. 5 Because they do not regard the works of the Lord or the work of his hands, he will tear them down and build them up no more. 6 Blessed be the Lord! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. 7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. 8 The Lord is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed. 9 Oh, save your people and bless your heritage! Be their shepherd and carry them forever. Key Words: Lord, Strength, Shield, Rock, Call, Hear, Trust, Wicked, Evil, Shepherd, Save Keystone Verse: The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.
