Every week comedian Yael Gavish talks with a comedian that has at some point been asked “Where Are You REALLY From?” Whether it's due to an accent, skin color, the outfit they are wearing or various other factors. Each conversation explores personal stories about travels, family life, cultural experiences and funny stories that have happened along the way. This week I sat down with Kwasi Mensah and we talked about Ghana, cultural traditions. weddings, and languages over the course of the hour long show. We didn't even have time to talk about the multiple festivals he's been in or our shared experience doing comedy in Boston from a different upbringing and this was still a great conversation. Check out his site for daily jokes, videos and other podcast's he's been on at Kwasiisfunny.com and follow him on @insomniac2846
We talk @MLB @Astros & @Dodgers in maybe the best #WorldSeries of all time; #NFL - who do you root for?; Fact check what happened to Sir Walter Raleigh's head after his death, explore Gary's talents as a Foley Artist and find out how the show suffers when Blaire is back as "boring" lead host & Gary has to sit back in the bad chair. I got meet Kwasi Mensah at his "Laughing Liberally" show in Boston and came away impressed with his comedy and point of view. He's gotten some added attention recently because of a confrontation with a Trump supporting heckler. Is this a sign of things to come? How did he feel about it and what should someone do in a situation like that? We did a different kind of deep dive this week to explore those questions.
This week, we begin with our regular Tech Update feature. Next, we visit with Kwasi Mensah of Ananse Productions about Stem Stumper, a game for iOS devices. Finally, Roger Wilson-Hinds demonstrates using Thunder with Webbie on the Internet.
