I first met my episode 68 guest in 2002. I recently completed the reacquisition of MetaInfo from Check Point. While Check Point retained 20%, my employees and I owned 80%. Chris, the CEO of Nominum, reached out to me to discuss a possible merger between our companies. The short story is we never merged. Chris led Nominum until they were acquired by Akamai Technologies in 2017. Today, Chris is the CEO of Bastille, a unique wireless security vendor disrupting the industry. We have a wonderful, wide-ranging discussion. I hope you enjoy this episode!
Larry is on vacation for the holidays, so enjoy this little present! We'll see you in the new year. Nominum quid geminus? LarryMillerShow.com
In today's podcast, we hear that nation-state influence operations against elections prompt investigation, introspection, and policy studies. We also hear about the implications of a major voter database exposure in the US, and about what might be done to mitigate such risks. Lancaster University's Awais Rashid shares research on security stakeholder biases. Arlen Frew from Nominum on small business vulnerabilities. Leaks from intelligence services seem to be inflicting collateral damage on Internet users as they find their way into criminal hands.
The show is still driving to Florida for the new year, but we have another Jack Benny episode with special guests Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart! This episode originally aired January 4th, 1947. Enjoy! Nominum quid geminus and we'll see you back here in the new year! LarryMillerShow.com
