On this week's episode - Rick Ruddell of Militant Casual stops by to check out a few tournament results, and we get sidetracked about 15 different times.
As the door to The Walking Dead Season 2 shuts, the (trap)door to The Walking Dead Season 3 opens. We mull over Season 2 as a whole before launching into the Ricktatorship, a political ideology that hasn't made for a happy proletariat, but gives us plenty of hate-filled material. Hope you like fence zombies!
Matty P Radio Presents: Marks v. Pros & Saturday Morning Cereal
Today on Saturday Morning Cereal… take some time this week to remember your original happy hour: Saturday mornings as a kid, waking up at dawn, jumping on the couch with a bowl of chocolate cereal, turning on the ‘toons, tuning out the outside world and working your way into a sugar hangover before noon. This week Grim, Marke, & Johnny Heck begin to unpack the bounty of geekdom from their visit to 2018WonderCon. First up is a killer of a show as we explore the growing universe of the AMC hit show Fear The Walking Dead. Your faithful hosts dodged zombies and Saviors alike, surviving the long journey through the Anaheim Convention Center to a press panel featuring the cast and crew of Fear The Walking Dead. You might have heard a certain character named Morgan (Lennie James) is ditching the Ricktatorship for greener(?) pastures with the Fear family. Get ready for the Fear The Walking Dead season 4 premiere -Returns Sunday 4/15 10/9c- with our exclusive audio from stars Lennie James (Jericho, Walking Dead), Jenna Elfman (Dharma and Greg, Can't Hardly Wait), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Fear The Walking Dead, The 100), as well as executive producer Scott Gimple (Fear The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead). Sit back and enjoy, you have nothing to fear... see what we did there? Follow us @StayClassySDCC NSFW
The season 3 premiere of The Walking Dead opens on a walker's eye and closes with Hershel's chopped off leg! In between the action, we see that Rick and Lori's marriage is in ruins (YESSSS!!!!), the Ricktatorship has kept everyone alive through the winter (but not necessarily happy) and even though a mysterious stranger saved Andrea from certain death last episode, Andrea just can't help being a jerk. It's in her nature. If you need a reprieve from the dulcet tones of Beth's singing, you can head over to Spotify to listen to the artists that we name dropped in the 'cast. It's non-stop action in this season 2 finale of The Walking Dead. An impossibly large herd comes for Hershel's farm and everyone comes up with fairly decent ideas on the fly, but since the entire state of Georgia has converged on this location, it's too little, too late. Everyone gets split up, then reunited (except for Andrea, who just gets straight up left) and Rick drops the 1-2 punch that he killed Shane AND that they're all going to turn into walkers, no matter what. We discuss the probability of a herd that large building the way the show laid it out (hint, it's zero), how Andrea, surprisingly, isn't the worst and the glory of the Ricktatorship speech! Like a horde of walkers munching on Carol's tuna casserole, we devoured "Conquer" -- Season 5 of The Walking Dead. Now it's time to sit back, relax and chew on what transpired. The force was strong with Morgan. The Ricktatorship is back on top. However, we're not sure Deanna will give up control for good. We learned that Carol is one tough "cookie." You better return that borrowed dish clean -- and listen to this podcast to process everything that happened!
While it wasn't the perfect finale, Jim and A.Ron are liking where we leave our group for the season in the plus-sized podcast for the super-sized episode 516 of The Walking Dead, "Conquer"... We discuss Ricktatorship 2.0, the continued rise of the Caroligarchy, the puzzling degradation of the skill set of one Daryl "Master Tracker" Dixon, what to make of these Wolves on our borders, the rediscovery of one Teenage Morgan Ninja Turtle, and wonder if sunsets work differently on the East Coast and just how big is Alexandria, anyway? All this, and just tons of great feedback, coming your way. And we're not ready to close the books on the season just yet! Come back next week for our season five wrap up!

This is kind of becoming a regular thing, but regarding our spoiler section; WE HAVE MEGAWATT SPOILERS AND YOU SHOULD AVOID THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE THE NEXT EPISODE COMPLETELY SPOILED.
The Walking Dead hits a home run this week with the very solid episode 307, “When the Dead Come Knocking”. About the only turd in the punch this week was the lunatic in the cabin, and who’s to say the turd didn’t add a touch of savory piquancy that elevated the episode as a whole? I do, actually. That’s who. That part was straight up horseshit. But just like The Walking Dead wouldn’t be The Walking Dead if there wasn’t something WTF worthy each week, our podcast wouldn’t be our podcast if we had nothing to bitch about. Oh. And Poindexter’s science experiment. That was goofy too. Oh god, I can feel the Waldorf coming over me. Anyway, the good stuff was very good. Getting the Ricktatorship and Woodbury all involved, a fairly touching scene involving Carol, gut wrenching torture involving Glenn and Maggie, hair raising, tension setting music, and excellent pacing sets us up for one epic mid-season finale next week. We discuss all this, some news, your feedback, and the return of megawatt, radioactive, depleted uranium spoilers in the spoiler section. Enjoy, and we’ll see you next week!
This week, Eric, Lauren, Cody & Jason banded together to perform a postmortem on The Walking Dead Season 2 finale, but one fell by the wayside. The others will share loves and hates, will pick on Lori and discuss exactly how creepy is Carl. We will mourn those lost and celebrate those found. So grab your crossbow and a cold one and join us for one last fond look back at the farm before we go to prison.
