This week, our Creeps are back in the studio to try Ritzy Lunch, located at 456 W Pike St. Clarksburg, WV. Open Mon-Sat 7 AM-2 PM. They are the place our Creeps have mentioned before, that is adjacent to the old theater that once played Night of the Hunter, and they have a photo of that marquee hanging in their restaurant. Here's what we tried:Classic hotdogs with sauce, mustard, onions, and Ritzy's signature pink/red slaw!We also tried Mister Bee's new Mothman themed crinkle cut potato chips on the sideThen, Matt covers the twelve victims of the Torso Murders of the 1930's by an unidentified serial killer in Cleveland, Ohio. They also dive into the connections between these morsels and the murder of Elizabeth Short, aka the Black Dahlia killing. The details of the case are extremely graphic in nature, listener discretion is advised. If you would prefer to only tune in to the food portion of the show, Matt's story starts around nine minutes in.They also talk about classic WV dogs again, weird flavors, a Main Corpse Pool Day and the perfect summer snacks that would go with that, and discovering eats that are very local to you. Shoutout to Liz Pavlovic who recommended Ritzy to us oh so long ago, and our apologies if we said your name wrong, our Editor shares the pain of the long name...

Send us a textHello, passionate cruisers! This is Paul and this week on The Joy of Cruising Podcast, I am delighted to welcome Bill, creator of Ritzy Travel Guide. As many listeners know, I am a serial viewer of YouTube cruise channels, watching them continuously while I work on my podcast and will even play them on mute when I listen to music. They are informative and sometimes introduce me to prospective podcast guests. That was the case with the Ritzy Travel Guide. Bill's seductive voice and accent first caught my attention, but more substantively Ritzy Travel Guide's great content made me a regular viewer.Bill and his wife first cruised in 1997 and have never looked back. They enjoy variety and spread their cruises amongst as many cruise lines as possible, rather than sticking to one or the other! Like me and Cheryl, they find them all so different and love aspects of each. They split their year roughly into three parts: 1. Europe; 2. North America, and 3. Asia. Bill notes, ‘You might say we are travel nomads! Love the culture and differences of each.'Ritzy Travel Guide's preference in ships is those under 3000 passengers. Bill emphatically points out they are not fans of mega-ships. ‘We prefer the more intimate, conversational style of small to medium ships. That being said we're adventurous, and also book the livelier ships, such as Virgin. We're also huge fans of the Celebrity Edge class of ships.' Two of my favorites—no wonder they caught my attention on YouTube. Ritzy Travel Guide also does land-based vacations but have rarely featured them on their YouTube channel. That's about to change. Bill says, ‘Starting this year we will mix cruise and land content on our channel, to have a 'Grand Tour' feel to it.' Speaking of Grand Tour, around the time this episode airs they are embarking on an amazing journey: In February and March, they are doing a 6-week Asian trip, including jungle touring in Thailand, staying at a train-themed hotel in the deep jungle, feeding elephants breakfast from a tree-top canopy, staying in a bamboo eco resort on stilts over the water, and taking an overnight sleeper from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Take me with you! That's just the beginning—we'll let Bill tell you about their other plans.Relying on ship wifi is slow, unsecure, sometimes not available & at foreign ports travelers don't want to pay their carriers' high fees. In this special LIVE Q&A for On Becoming A Guinea Fowl, moderator Catherine Munyarari, co-chair of the Young Africa Centre Comittee, talks to award-winning director Rungano Nyoni and actors Susan Chardy and Elizabeth Chisela about their new film at the Ritzy cinema in Brixton. The event was produced in collaboration with Dark Matter Marketing and Picturehouse Entertainment. On Becoming A Guinea Fowl is in cinemas now. The new film from acclaimed, BAFTA-winning director Rungano Nyoni (I Am Not a Witch), ON BECOMING A GUINEA FOWL is a compelling drama about community and sisterhood. Driving home from a party one night, Shula seems unfazed by the sight of her uncle's dead body on the deserted road. While preparations are made for his funeral, she finds herself plunged into the hidden secrets of her family. As tensions rise, Shula and her cousin Nsansa join forces to reconcile the past for a more hopeful future. A fierce and darkly funny portrait of one woman's strength in the face of crisis, Nyoni's award-winning second feature proves her to be a distinctive filmmaker blazing a unique trail. A home in an upscale San Francisco neighborhood with properties typically valued at millions of dollars is on the market for under $500,000 – but it may be a while before the new buyer can move in. The seller is asking $488,000 for the three-bedroom home located in the city's Russian Hill neighborhood, and an "as-is sale," according to the listing with Park North Real Estate. The property, which spans a total of about 3,200 square feet, has received attention in recent days for both its low asking price and how long the tenant may get to stay in the home. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/darien-dunstan3/message
