Med sin Commodore 64 satt Rune Spaans på gutterommet i Brønnøysund og la grunnlaget for en imponerende karriere innen data-grafikk, animasjon, spesialeffekter og filmregi. Han stod midt oppi dataspill-revolusjonen på 90-tallet og har hatt minst én finger med i spillet på filmer som Trolljegeren, Pelle Politibil og "Knutsen & Ludvigsen og den fæle Rasputin", og laget prisbelønt animasjonsfilm med verdens beste tegner, Dave Cooper. Men globalt er han kanskje mest kjent for en homofil sædcelle.
