Adam White is the founder and CEO of the company Front Office Sports. Front Office Sports has been a fast growing company that covers the sports industry. Adam started this company in 2014 while he was still a college student attending the University of Miami. We dive into his life as the CEO and what that journey was like for him. At a young age he has achieved success but he still has a vision he is working on to turn into a reality. Join us as we dive into his journey and story. Ryan is currently the Assistant Director of Digital Media at Utah Valley University Athletics. When we named the podcast "Journey of the working sports professional" Ryan's journey to where he is today is what we wanted to talk about. From passion of sports to being an intern and now where he is today has been a journey. On this episode, Scott Peace joins us on the podcast. Scott is the current Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Engagement at the University of Evansville Athletics. In 2014 he joined the University of Evansville Athletics staff as the Director of Ticketing Services and Athletic Event Operations. In 2016, he was elevated to Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations. Then in June 2018, he was elevated to his current position. We take a look at his journey from being a fan of Louisville Athletics to now working in College Athletics. How did he go from intern at the University of Louisville Athletics Department, to University of South Florida Athletics, and to his current spot at the University of Evansville Athletics? His journey provides the lessons you can use to get your next opportunity. Evansville's Men Basketball team upset University of Kentucky (Ranked at #10 at the time). Rebekah earned her B.S. in Health Promotions at the University of Georgia. She completed her M.S. in Sport Management at Texas A&M. From 2015-2017 while attending Texas A&M she was a graduate assistant in the Sport Management Department. This included duties as a teaching assistant and event management. She also assisted with Men's Basketball Operations at Texas A&M. Fast forward to August 2019 when she became the Director of Administration for Texas A&M Athletics. In this episode she explains the day to day of her current position and the exciting things that go on. In her words, it is somewhat a position of Athletic Director in training. Kolby Castillo is joined on the Sports As a Job podcast by Harold M. Watson the Director of Athletics at Goshen College. Harold has tremendous amount of experience as an College Athletic Administrator. Before working at his current position at Goshen College that competes in the NAIA, he has previously worked at the NCAA I, II, and III level. Along with that he has received 14 individual awards from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators.  He started off his sports career as an intern then went on to continuously work his way up the ladder. He shares stories about the different promotions he had that were successful or did not work the way he wanted it to. Along the way he has learned from many different individuals and his own experience. From his experience he shares advice on how to stay in the present, navigate the sports industry, and what has made him successful as a College Athletic Administrator. This is a must listen for both those looking to get into the sports industry and that are currently already in the industry. Kolby Castillo is joined on the Sports As a Job Podcast by Malia Bates. Malia Bates is currently the Events and Fundraising Intern with the San Francisco 49ers. She graduated from the University of Redlands with a Bachelor Degree in Media and Visual Culture Studies. She then went on to graduate from the University of Michigan with a Masters Degree in Sport Management. Malia Bates has experience with organizations such as USA Hockey, the Oakland Athletics Baseball team, the University of Michigan, and other great organizations. We discuss the importance of networking and pushing through rejection. Her drive, perseverance, and passion for sports has led her to where she is at today.
