Tough Talk Christian Radio with Host Tony Gambone and Special Guest Sharon Johnson & Stacey Banks Houston: Sharon Johnson, a mother of two wonderfully fabulous daughters. As I am sure you can tell, I love music, but I am also an author. My published works include God Must Have Wanted Me to Smile, the award-winning inspirational story that launched my writing career (featured in Tales2Inspire: The Sapphire Collection), and Verses of Victory, my very first published book, a 31-day devotional to educate, stimulate and motivate those who seek victory. I currently write for two digital magazines: Faith Filled Family Magazine, for which I write music reviews, feature articles and artist interviews; and The Bottom Line Magazine, for which I write feature articles and social media posts. I recently discovered my gift of songwriting, and have now written several songs, which I hope to get published. When you get right down to it, I am a lover of all things creative, and now, more than ever, I truly understand that God is the Ultimate Creator. This week on SOD we hung out with Stacey Banks-Houston, the author of "The Passion Plan". She was super warm and down to earth, like talking to a wise big sister. She kept it real with up about getting investors, and just how important it is to invest in yourself. This episode is a must! I am personally of the mindset that everyone, especially every woman, should be self employed and should be an entrepreneur. So many disappointing situations can be solved with gaining financial freedom. Although I am aware that there are plenty of people who disagree with me, my guest this week, Stacey Banks-Houston is not one of those people Stacey has been living in the entrepreneurial mindset since she was just a kid and instead of selling lemonade, hand painted and sold seashells she found in her backyard. As she grew up, Stacey found herself coming back to the idea of owning her own business, whether it was taking over her dad’s or beginning her journey as a coach, speaker, and author. Whether you are looking to begin your own business or you have been in the field for years, I recommend listening to the tips offered by Stacey. She is quick to ask you to define your ideas as a hobby, a hustle, or a harvest. From there, you can begin to take whatever next step is required to get you to where you want to be.
