When we pay close attention to life there are signs everywhere leading up to every experience we encounter. When it comes to love being blind is something easy to do. Sometimes we find ourselves in situations that are not healthy for us just because we don't want to be alone. However, ignoring signs of unhealthy behavior, such as someone who is a habitual cheater, can worse than being lonely. Doctor Nicole Kelly knows all too well the woes of experiencing a habitual cheater and she's taken those woes and turned them into lessons to steer anyone with ears to hear from the harmful experiences of a cheater. While the transition to full time entrepreneurship is possible the process is different for everyone. Being the message. 3 simple words that require a great deal of awareness and responsibility. There is a fallacy behind the idea that we can dictate to the next generation without actually showing by example, because while words may spark thoughts that can then lead to action as human beings we don't just learn with our ears. We learn by watching, and through the vibrational frequencies transmuted through feelings. So what does all of this mean? The most effective method of teachings is carried out in our daily actions. As Michael Jackson state we must start with the man or woman in the mirror. Our guest host Author, speaker, and certified counselor Jami Kirkbride is excited to share with us all how this idea manifests in her life daily. Do you know how vital rest is for the mind, body, and soul connection? Even though sometimes we think we are , we are not energizer batteries which are meant to keep going and going. In fact this practice for us could be less effective and less productive even though we are doing a lot. Have you heard the idea that less is more. Well we happen to think this adage is on to something. Something easy to miss and even more complex to understand. The idea that rest is crucially important is often times best experienced. Our guest Besty Ridgeway, author of “HOPE transforms the impossible into unending possibilities.” Has decided to help us dissect this idea further. The wedding day is when we vow to the world that we are making the commitment to take the journey with the person we've chosen, but the success of the marriage happens along the way. With two people every day recommitting to that initial commitment as they journey through the experiences of life together. This initial premise to make this commitment every day is a big part of what makes a marriage joyful. So, what else is there? We've invited a couple who have managed to still find joy in their marriage through the tests of time and now are committed to share about it. Have you ever found yourself in a pickle that was more sour than you could stand? We all have at a time or two in our lives. During these moments I've gotton to the point of saying this tiny phrase that helps me to look up "you can't sit in this." This phrase is a little reminder to myself that I know there is more, I know I have the power to get the more, and that staying here is not an option nor is it the Divine plan. Sour pickles are sour pickles no matter what end you take a bite of the same sour taste will remain. However, we can dice that baby up and make a whole new recipe. Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're going to get. I'm sure we can all relate to this Forest Gump saying. I find this statement to be true because life is such an experiment. One thing we've discovered in our community is that while we may not know what we are going to get we can impact our experiences by choosing how we respond to what appears in our lives. In fact this is where our power lies. We would serve ourselves well to master the art of how we choose to respond. Many of us have lived life as if it is happening to us. However, life has a way of showing us that life is happening through us. We are like the scientist getting to alchemize the conditions we encounter. If we choose to live life like things are just happening to us and we are going along for the ride with no options available to us, we find ourselves living as victims making poor choices void of hope. Our guest host Susan Shumsky intends to share with us how we can tap back into our power by understanding we are not victims of our circumstances, but instead volunteers to every encounter we experience.
We believe we all come here with purpose to fulfill and add to universal evolution. Joy and rain sunshine and pain are all purposeful experiences. Every perceived problem is actually an opportunity. Can you imagine the inventors of the light bulb sitting around complaining about the dark instead of actually thinking of ways to have light whenever they desired light, we might still be waiting on the sun to rise every day to carry out tasks. That's what happens to us when faced with challenges we perceive as fatal sentences. When faced with a challenged we are being gifted with a reason from the universe to focus our minds and imagine life different, a gift that helps us understand our power on a deeper level and helps us learn how to more effectively use our minds. The universe is teaching us that we have some of the same powerful energy the sun has, so we don't have to wait for the sun to give us light we can create our own out of our own darkness even. Our guest host Romola Hodas, author and daughter of Time Square's King of ‘P.O.R.N. is here to show us how she used this magic we are all gifted with to survive and thrive after a chaotic childhood.
Mental Health talks are on the rise. The topic makes its way into almost every one of the Queens Stand Up Shows and the more we learn about the mind, the more we understand why the discussions around the topic of mental health have increased. The way we think, the way we interpret what is communicated to us, and the thoughts that linger in our minds directly, shape, and ultimately create the reality we experience, the people we attract, and the health of our relationships. The state of our mental health effects how we feel about ourselves and how we feel about ourselves effects our self-care and how we care for those we love. So we can clearly see why becoming more aware of the state of our mental health can improve the quality of the relationships we have. Anna Dowe, author of “Bent Not Broken.” was able to save her marriage when PTSD was attempting to destroy her relationship with her & her husband. Anna teaches us practical skills through her writing to help usmaintain our mental health and wellness.

If you are tired of what the world keeps showing you is reality then its time to be the change you want to see.
Children are so impressionable they often believe what we tell them and they are inspired by their surroundings. Like little sponges they absorb the information around them and this information begins to shape their entire world. They are effected by what they see on T.V. and the music they hear on the radio. Often they may not even be listening to the words being sung in the music, the lyrics, but they are being capitivated by the beats. This is where things can get tricky, because while they may not be conscious of the words their minds are still absorbing the messages. Our Guest host Thomica Johnson has made her lifes work related to transforming music kids love and hear on the radio into insipiring spiritual tunes that can empower them to be their best.
