In this episode, One Year No Beer Co-Founder Andy Ramage interviews Jeff Sanders. Jeff is the author of the #1 Amazon best-selling book on productivity, The 5 AM Miracle: Dominate Your Day Before Breakfast. He is also a keynote speaker, a productivity coach, creator of the 47 Strategies Productivity Self-Assessment, and host of The 5 AM Miracle Podcast. Change your life before breakfast Jeff admits in this interview that he was a ‘night owl.’ It took him a long time to realize that the setup wasn’t working for him. The epiphany came five years ago when he needed to train for a marathon, while working a full-time job and doing a side business. He thought that something had to give, at first. Eventually, it turned out that he actually had time to do all of those things! All it took was for him to wake up at 5am each day, do a morning run for his marathon preparation, and suddenly, he was able to do it all. Well, not all, but he realized it was possible for him to do a lot of the things that he needed to do, and more. He continued this setup of waking up early to prepare business projects and other personal goals. It worked so well for him he wrote an ebook about it, started a blog, launched a podcast, and wrote a best-selling book. The alcohol free effect Listen as Jeff talks about his recent drinking habits, and taking on the One Year No Beer challenge. He professes, “You don’t realize how much of a role alcohol plays in your life until you remove it.” Incredibly, being the paragon of productivity that he already is, he asserts he still has seen a big boost in his own ability to get work done every day, when he took the 90 day alcohol free challenge. Accordingly, not drinking makes waking up early so much easier.
