SPECIAL NEW EPISODE DROP! This is Part 3 of 3 (Listening in order is recommended). I am getting very 'up close and personal' as I do something I have not done since I began the podcast in 2020-- tell "the rest of my story." This is part of MY life after the suicide loss of my son Alex Mullins on August 7, 2016In the 3-part series you get Part 1, "The Rest of My Story" Part 2 - "My Analysis", and that will be followed by this one - Part 3, "Can Words Kill...What Now?" In Part 3, I discuss how this is relevant to you - my audience. And WHAT do we do? HOW do we DO anything?? This is just the start of me telling anyone who will listen to what started in August of 2016 at Truman State University with my son Alex's suicide... and what we had no clue about that became a nightmare on top of a nightmare for many, not just us. "Free Will" serves as a center point of this story: free will and a disturbed individual with a death obsession and malice in his heart. The question of free will is complicated in most suicides, but how does it factor in when another person is right there - influencing or bullying or even reasoning or coaxing...? So, it's time to tell the story. The world needs to know because I KNOW I am not alone in this, or similar, situations - and that pains me. We need to draw attention to bullies, toxic relationships, and more that lead our kids straight to taking their own life. We need answers, accountability, and more. Let's have conversations! Eric Schmitt, US Senator from Missouri, joins Liberty & Justice with Matt Whitaker, Season 3, Episode 5. Presented by American Cornerstone Institute. Learn more about ACI at https://americancornerstone.org/ Watch every episode of Liberty & Justice at www.whitaker.tv. Eric Schmitt is a sixth-generations Missourian, from a family of farmers, teachers, and small business owners who have lived and worked in the Missouri cities of Tipton, Pilot Grove, Louisiana, and St. Louis. Eric's grandfather served in the 7th Army during World War II and saw major combat as an infantryman. After the war, he returned to Missouri to start a small butcher shop, where Eric's father would later work. His father worked his way through night school to provide for his family while earning a diploma. Eric watched his father work 7 days a week on the midnight shift at the Anheuser-Busch brewery to provide a better life for his family, an experience that taught him the value of a strong work ethic. Eric and his wife Jaime have three children: Stephen, Sophia, and Olivia. Their son, Stephen, was born with a rare genetic condition causing tumors on his organs. He also has epilepsy, is on the autism spectrum, and is non-verbal. Stephen was Eric's inspiration to run for office to be a voice for individuals like him and their families. One of Eric's early legislative victories was taking on insurance companies by leading a bipartisan effort to ensure Missouri families are covered when they need it the most – including therapies for autism. On November 8, 2022, the citizens of Missouri elected Eric Schmitt as the state's next United States Senator. Since 2019, Eric has served as Missouri's 43rd Attorney General. Eric also led the fight to secure the border and make America energy independent. Working with a broad coalition of attorneys general, Eric ensured successful border policies were continued while fighting for domestic energy exploration to lower the price at the gas pump. Eric attended DeSmet Jesuit High School and went on to graduate cum laude from Truman State University, where he founded a Habitat for Humanity chapter. After graduation, he attended law school at Saint Louis University, where he received his J.D. and served as an editor of the Law Review. Matthew G. Is College Worth It?The Cost of EducationThe Power of Understanding BusinessReal College Advice: Whole Life Insurance or Tuition?Further Resources: Book A Strategy Call Is College Worth It? [05:42] “Nelson believed that people need to think. He thinks that's one of the biggest problems Americans have, [that they] have changed into, almost like lemmings, where they have just been taught not to think.” Due to Nelson's skepticism about the education system, he questions whether college is necessary for young people to be productive, successful, and wealthy. After all, if school isn't teaching people to think, what is it teaching? Of course, there are naturally exceptions to this. You don't want a doctor who hasn't trained extensively, nor do you want a lawyer who doesn't know the law, or a scientist who doesn't understand the scientific process. In these cases, school is integral. However, the world is becoming increasingly entrepreneurial, which doesn't take a degree, as much as it takes critical thinking and people skills. Even jobs like coding and programming can be learned in short-term courses, as opposed to a college environment. This isn't to say that college isn't a worthwhile endeavor. However, it is an expensive one and a decision that shouldn't be taken lightly. There is truth to the statement that your earning power is statistically higher if you have a college degree. However, there is also tremendous debt, that may not be necessary depending on what you want to accomplish in this life. The Cost of Education In the 80s, when Bruce went to Truman State University, the total cost of room, board, and tuition was $1995. And when he graduated and went into teaching, he was making about $19,000. That's essentially a 10:1 ratio. On the other hand,

Kennedy details a moving article she wrote prior to her Senior season discussing the different basketball paths her and her sister Kate took, what she's learned from it, and what she hoped to teach Kate. Tangazo - a Podcast from KDHX was created March 2018, by its host Hank Thompson and producer Andy Heaslet with a drum sound track created and performed by the late Dhati M. Kennedy. ------ It is now confirmed that on Thursday February 15th, the Tangazo podcast will begin broadcasting live on kdhx at 12 noon until 2pm. ------ This current episode of Tangazo, focuses on the recently held Iowa and New Hampshire presidential primaries elections, their results and significance to the November general elections. Our guest included 6 Tangazo frequent contributors, political consultant Tim Person, activist Attorney Jerryl Christmas and Michael Wesley Jones, of the St. Louis American Newspaper, provided a local perspective on the above mentioned Presidential primary elections. National commentary was provided by former Tallahassee mayor Dorothy Inman-Johnson, who is currently seeking a seat on the Tallahassee city council. Attorney, musician Ludlow B. Creary II, from Long Beach California and former Story County Iowa Supervisor and former Truman State University classmate, Wayne Clinton. The discussion was lively ,informative and maybe foreboding, with the idea that African Americans, especially young black men were becoming disenchanted, with the Democratic Party and how if that disenchantment is not addressed, helps the Republican Party's efforts to regain the presidency. We sincerely appreciate all of the great guests and commentators, who have supported Tangazo throughout the past 6 years and we're looking forward, to having you join us for our live 2 hour broadcast on kdhx. We also appreciate the staff and management of kdhx, especially the station's General Manager Kelly Wells, for the support, encouragement and the confidence, they have shown in our ability, to make Tangazo a live broadcast. Find Tangazo and other podcast at podcast.kdhx.org and I can honestly say that, “We will see you on the radio!”
About the Lecture Former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Alphonso Jackson will discuss the interconnection between the American Civil Rights movement and international human rights yesterday and today. Jackson grew up in segregated Dallas, Texas. In 1965, he marched for Civil Rights on Bloody Sunday in Selma, Alabama. The relationship between foreign affairs and the American Civil Rights story was highlighted in an address by Secretary of State Dean Rusk in 1963 and remains true today. “As the matters stand, however, racial discrimination here at home has important effects on our foreign relations. This episode features a conversation with Dr. Huping Ling on her two latest books, Chinese Americans in the Heartland: Migration, Work, and Community and Asian American History, both published by Rutgers University Press in 2022 and 2023, respectively. We begin our conversation with Asian American History, a comprehensive survey text that places Asian immigration to America in international and domestic contexts. In this text, Ling uses the histories of ethnic groups spanning from East, Southeast, South, and West Asia to explore the significant elements that define Asian America, such as imperialism, global capitalist expansion, transnationalism, labor, immigration, exclusion, family, community, and gender roles. The second part of the conversation is dedicated to Chinese Americans in the Heartland. The book draws upon rich evidence from various government records, personal stories, interviews, and media reports to shed light on the commonalities and uniqueness of the region, as compared to the Asian American communities on the East and West Coast, as well as Hawaii. An internationally renowned historian and award-winning writer, Huping Ling is a Professor of History, the founder of the Asian/Asian American Studies Program, and the past department chair at Truman State University. She is a Visiting Fellow of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and is also affiliated with many programs studying overseas Chinese including serving as the Changjiang (Yangtze River) Scholar Chair Professor of the Chinese Ministry of Education. She is the founding and inaugural book series editor for Asian American Studies Today with Rutgers University Press and former editor-in-chief for the Journal of Asian American Studies. She has authored or edited 34 books and published over 200 articles in Asian American studies. He previously ran the marketing efforts at Visme as Director of Marketing, where he helped the company gain over 16 million active users and 3 million monthly organic traffic. He graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In this episode… Link building for SEO is not an easy task. Although tools like Respona simplify the outreach process, there's more to link-building than outreach. There's the overlooked strategy component to determine if SEO is the best acquisition channel for your business. There is also the on and off-page SEO strategies that brands should consider. You need to get your keyword research, page speed, content, and more dialed in for on-page SEO. But that's only a few pieces of the puzzle. A crop circle, crop formation, or corn circle is a pattern created by flattening a crop, usually a cereal. The term was first coined in the early 1980s by Colin Andrews. Crop circles have been described as all falling "within the range of the sort of thing done in hoaxes" by Taner Edis, professor of physics at Truman State University.[3] Although obscure natural causes or alien origins of crop circles are suggested by fringe theorists,[4] there is no scientific evidence for such explanations, and all crop circles are consistent with human causation. The number of reports of crop circles has substantially increased since the 1970s. There has been scant scientific study of them. Circles in the United Kingdom are not distributed randomly across the landscape but appear near roads, areas of medium to dense population and cultural heritage monuments, such as Stonehenge or Avebury. In 1991, two hoaxers, Doug Bower and Dave Chorley, took credit for having created many circles throughout England after one of their circles was described by an investigator as impossible for human beings to make.Formations are usually created overnight, although some are reported to have appeared during the day. In contrast to crop circles or crop formations, archaeological remains can cause cropmarks in the fields in the shapes of circles and squares, but they do not appear overnight, and they are always in the same places every year. Nearly half of all crop circles found in the UK in 2003 were located within a 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) radius of the Avebury stone circles.
