TwoOhSix.com presents the first ever TwoOhSix Podcast Series, Diversity in Film: Conversations from Within the Industry. Amie Simon and I have been crossing paths in the Seattle film scene for several years especially during the Seattle International Film Festival as well as working together through Smarthouse Creative, the PR firm she currently works for. Amie is also a contributor for Three Imaginary Girls and I Love Splatter and her extensive knowledge of the film industry made for some great conversation as we were able to cover a wide variety of topics. Diversity in Film: Conversations from Within the Industry is hosted by TwoOhSix.com founder Marc Morin and features conversations with actors, directors, producers, film critics and more all discussing their thoughts on diversity in an industry that has been in need of some new perspectives and fresh voices. The podcast series launches on Monday, May 11th and will continue weekly with new episodes released every Monday.

Imaginary Liz is a music blogging rockstar! We were so lucky to have Liz Riley Tollefson(Imaginary Liz) of Three Imaginary Girls (www.threeimaginarygirls.com) come by. She mesmerized us with story after story about covering Seattle’s rock scene and gave deep advice to Grant on his dating life.   A little more from the website: Three Imaginary Girls is a Seattle-based website that showcases the great music of the Northwest to music lovers worldwide. The site launched in June 2002 to document the show-going escapades of three music fans with boundless enthusiasm for the burgeoning music scene around them. Since that time, the site has grown to include reviews of albums, live music, film, interviews and more, in Seattle and beyond. The site thrives on constantly discovering and nurturing great new bands and sharing them with the rest of the {imaginary} world. Three Imaginary Girls have also booked music showcases, contributed to other music publications (including the KEXP blog, Seattle Sound Magazine, Tablet Magazine, and Music for America), and the imaginary editorial staff have made countless guest radio appearances on KEXP 90.3fm and KUOW 94.9fm and have been featured in the pages of The Stranger and the Seattle Weekly. Three Imaginary Girls were voted “MVP of Seattle Music 2004” by readers of the Seattle Weekly, and were listed in Seattle Magazine’s 2004 Most Influential People issue as well as Seattle Sound’s 2006 Most Influential in Seattle Music issue. One of our founders was crowned a Nerd of Note by Seattle Magazine and we were even mentioned on ESPN and in the pages of Jane magazine and Paste Magazine. Ep. 44: “The Story of Lola” - Roderick on the Line - Merlin Mann on Huffduffer With John on tour and the holiday season literally upon us (literally), the next few weeks of our Roderick on the Line program will, regrettably, be compelled to hew to an unusually-erratic release schedule. But, in deference to the Spirit of Christmas, we’d like to share with you a Very Special Episode™ from the copious bowels of the RotL archives. Like It’s a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, and that one episode of Happy Days where Fonzie may have to spend Christmas alone in his hovel of a garage, eating a can of beans from his hot plate, we hope that you will consider building a warm and nostalgic new holiday tradition for your family with an annual listening of one of our favorite and best-loved episodes: “The Story of Lola.” In which John drinks too much coffee, shares his breadth of knowledge regarding our nation’s strip clubs, explains the role of raccoons in producing bottled water, and—yes—recounts his august background dressing up as Santa Claus and spanking dirty little elves in a bar. Happy Holidays to you and yours, and thank you for letting John help you so much each week. [Photo Credit: Three Imaginary Girls]
