Special Guest Sara Alavi is an expert in Quantum Tapping, Essential Oils, and Yoga for PTSD Recovery. She found yoga when she went blind because of MS (multiple sclerosis). Can you cure yourself of MS? Sara cured her blindness with yoga after 4-5 months of meditation and gentle yoga postures. She was then certified in Quantum Tapping by founder Dr. Gary Craig. What is Quantum Tapping? QT is an emotional freedom technique aka energy modality or energy work. QT uses the finger tips to tap energy meridians to rewire the mind. She also uses essential oils to access neuro pathways. Yoga was started by men. Women were not included. But men in the western world may shy away from yoga because of all the women in classes. Sara mostly works with veterans (most of whom are men). She says all people experience PTSD because traumatic experience just means more than a person can handle. The amygdala (a part of the brain) holds the memory of how our body reacted in the time of trauma. We are traumatized from birth onwards. Our core beliefs are 95% established by age 6 or 7. The body already knows how to heal. Meditate 20 mins every night, running the energy and focusing on the light. This will help soften your amygdala. 60,000 thoughts a day, 21,600 breaths a day. Meditation allows you to consciously analyze your thoughts. The body can heal itself. For QT, tap inside the knees, the wrists, the sinus cavities. Do this every day with affirmations. QT is like acupuncture by tapping the nadis (energy lines) however with tapping you don’t need needles. If you have a brain injury or pace maker use light touch instead of tapping. Underneath the arms, the head area, heart center. Do 7 rounds. And deep breathes. Essential oils are one of the most ancient healing modalities, they change your emotional state within 60 seconds. And apparently emotions filters what we hear and see. Trust the process, take 10 minutes a day. There are compound benefits of practicing a little yoga every day.
