We've been walking through this Mercury retrograde together since early November, and this week brings us to the peak—the moment of revelation, the turning point, the cosmic “aha!” that shifts everything into place. If you've been feeling like you're dragging extra weight, wondering when things will finally click, or waiting for clarity to emerge from the fog—this is your week. The Big Picture: What's Happening This WeekMonday, November 17: Emotional RealizationsWe begin the week with a beautiful Grand Trine in water signs (Sun, Saturn, Neptune, and Jupiter), bringing emotional shifts and realizations. You may have already felt something change over the weekend—a shift in how you feel about whatever this Mercury retrograde has been asking you to review. This Grand Trine is about coming into understanding. Old belief systems are being examined. Emotional healing is happening. You're recognizing something important about your path. There's also a Yod (Finger of God) pointing at the Libra Moon from Saturn/Neptune in Pisces and Uranus in Taurus. This temporary but powerful aspect brings a moment of revelation—especially around justice, truth, and what we've been hiding. With the Epstein files being released this week, we're seeing the “Great Reveal” continue to unfold in our collective consciousness.Note: Monday has an all-day void-of-course moon, but after that, the rest of the week has minimal void periods—meaning energy moves fast.Wednesday-Thursday, November 20-21: The Mercury Retrograde PeakThis is it. The Cazemi—when Mercury retrograde, the Sun, and the Moon all come together at 28 degrees Scorpio for the New Moon.A Cazemi happens when a planet is at the exact same degree as the Sun, amplifying and intensifying that planet's energy. With Mercury retrograde involved, this new moon is about:* Messages delivered from the universe* Surprises that redirect your path (thanks to the opposition with Uranus in Taurus)* Deep realizations about what you thought you wanted vs. what you're actually meant to do* Resolution of issues that have been brewing since late OctoberThis is the moment when Mercury retrograde says: “Not that way—THIS way.”You might feel like the universe just nudged you off your expected path. But don't worry—this is part of a Grand Trine, which means it will come together easily. What feels like a surprise or disruption is actually a blessing in disguise, guiding you toward your authentic path.New Moon Intentions: This is a powerful time to set intentions around transformation, shadow work, emotional healing, and stepping into your truth. Scorpio energy asks you to go deep and be real with yourself.Saturday, November 22: Sun Enters SagittariusThe Sun moves out of Scorpio's intense, shadow-diving energy and into Sagittarius—the sign of adventure, optimism, expansion, and truth-seeking.This shift takes the cosmic spotlight off your shadow and invites you to look forward with hope and enthusiasm. By the weekend, you'll likely feel lighter, clearer, and ready to move ahead. What This Means for YOU: Horoscopes by SignGet the Video Versions of these Horoscopes on our Shorts on Youtube♈ Aries (March 21 - April 19)This Mercury retrograde peak is happening in your 8th house of shared resources, intimacy, and transformation. A message or realization about your worldview, spiritual path, or future adventures may surprise you. Neptune and Saturn retrograde in your sign are part of the Grand Trine, supporting deep healing and the release of old illusions. The new moon invites you to set intentions around expansion and truth.Retrogrades: The Review Phase Is Almost OverWe're currently navigating five retrograde planets:* Mercury (goes direct November 29)* Saturn (goes direct November 28)* Neptune (goes direct December 10)* Uranus (goes direct February 3, 2026)* Jupiter (goes direct March 10, 2026)Retrogrades ask us to review, recalibrate, restore, and reconsider. But as these planets begin going direct over the coming weeks and months, we'll shift from review mode into launch mode. The tide will turn, and it will be time to move forward with everything you've been preparing.Tarot Reading for the WeekPast: Eight of Wands — Messages from ancestors, the other side, and the universe have already been delivered.Present: Ace of Swords — You're taking positive action based on those messages. Welcome to The Times of Israel's Daily Briefing, your 20-minute audio update on what's happening in Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world. Diplomatic correspondent Lazar Berman joins host Amanda Borschel-Dan for today's episode. Last week, the US officially launched negotiations within the 15-member United Nations Security Council on a draft resolution that would follow up on Israel and Hamas’s October 9 ceasefire-hostage agreement. Tomorrow, the Security Council is set to vote on the resolution, which would deliver Gaza to an International Stabilization Force (ISF) and an apolitical Palestinian administration overseen by a Trump-chaired Board of Peace. In the first half of the program, Berman gives an analysis of some of the implications for Israel -- and questions the world's appetite for seeing through in the demilitarization of Hamas. US President Donald Trump on Friday said that he was considering agreeing to a deal to supply Saudi Arabia with F-35 stealth fighter jets, which are made by Lockheed Martin. We hear whether a more robust Saudi air force could affect the Middle East and learn why the United Arab Emirates has not yet received its promised planes. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said on Friday that the Israeli army had built walls on the Lebanese side of the UN-demarcated Blue Line, the de facto border. We learn about the Blue Line and discuss whether a complaint to the UN has any teeth. Check out The Times of Israel's ongoing liveblog for more updates. Conflict Resolution Beyond the International Relations Paradigm: Evolving Designs as a Transformative Practice in Nagorno-Karabakh and Syria (Ibidem Press, 2017) holds the promise of freeing approaches and policies with regard to politics of identity from the fatalistic grip of realism. While the conceptual literature on identity and conflicts has moved in this alternative direction, conflict resolution practice continues to rely on realist frames and acts as an unwanted auxiliary to traditional International Relations (IR). Perpetuation of conflict discourses, marginalization, and exclusion of affected populations are widespread. They are caused by the over-reliance of conflict resolution practice on the binary frames of classic IR paradigms and also by the competitive and hierarchical relationships within the field itself. Philip Gamaghelyan relies on participatory action research (PAR) and collective auto-ethnography to expose patterns of exclusion and marginalization as well as the paradoxical reproduction of conflict-promoting frames in current conflict-resolution practice applied to the Nagorno-Karabakh and Syrian crises. He builds on the work of post-modernist scholars, on reflective practice, and on discourse analysis to explore alternative and inclusive strategies with a transformative potential through reflections and actions customary for PAR. The IR discipline, that has dominated policy-making, is only one possible lens, and often a deficient one, for defining, preventing, or resolving contemporary conflicts wrapped in identity politics. Other conceptual frameworks can help to rethink our understanding of identity and conflicts and reconstruct them as performative and not static phenomena. These transformative frameworks are increasingly influential in the conflict resolution field and can be applied to policy-making. However, he argues its use against continuing resolutions is illegitimate, leading to "horrendous dislocation." He proposes changing the Senate rule to forbid filibusters on continuing resolutions, ensuring essential government functions are not held hostage for collateral political gain and maintaining fiscal continuity.

Send Us a Message (include your contact info if you'd like a reply)When love gets loud, decision-making gets messy. We sit down with family law attorney, mediator, and certified ADR divorce coach Lauren Fair to unpack why support from family and friends often feels good in the moment but can quietly anchor clients in rigid positions. From “my cousin got the house” jurisdiction myths to the rallying effect of loyal allies, we trace how emotional justice can overshadow long-term interests and derail reasonable agreements.Together we map a different path: neutrality, structure, and reality testing. Lauren shares how she helps clients separate feelings from facts, weigh costs against outcomes, and align choices with core values like stability for kids, financial sustainability, and healthier communication. We talk through funding dynamics—when a parent pays for services and expects a say—and how to reset power imbalances without blowing up negotiations. You'll hear practical tools you can use immediately: boundary scripts that honor love while declining directives, somatic cues to sense whether a choice is grounded, and a simple framework for designing a support circle on purpose. For clients, treat advice as data and keep your hands on the wheel. For family and friends, the most loving move is to listen more and fix less. Dr. E here with another asynchronous episode of Untold Physio Stories, featuring the great Dr. Wells! We're diving deep into the trenches of chronic elbow tendinopathies, specifically lateral epicondylalgia, and the surprising speed of response in a couple of recent patient cases. What We Cover in This Episode:The Power of Length and Load: We revisit the concept of using isometric contractions in a lengthened position (70-80% MVC) for superior tendon loading, inspired by Dr Michaud's excellent tendinopathy article.Dr. E shares a recent article on LinkedIn by Dr. Malliaras showing that this position creates significantly higher tensile force in the tendon compared to concentric/eccentric exercises, making it ideal for remodeling and managing inflammation.Case 1: The WFH Warrior (Lateral Epicondylalgia): A work-from-home patient with bilateral elbow pain from excessive arm raises found complete symptom resolution in just two weeks using the lengthened isometric contraction technique (wrist flexion, pronation, resisting extension). We discuss why this response was so much faster than typically expected for tendinopathy. Was it pain modulation, a true strength issue, or something else?Case 2: The Chronic Tennis Coach: A long-term case of lateral epicondylalgia that didn't respond to the initial lengthened isometric program or even repeated cervical retractions. We explore the eventual success with a Mulligan Mobilization with Movement (MWM) technique (lateral ulnar glide with gripping/wrist extension), highlighting the sometimes-necessary shift from exercise to pain-modulating manual therapy before resuming loading. The Big Question: Dr. Wells and Dr. E debate the varying patient responses, the balance between mid-range vs. lengthened loading, and why these tendinopathy cases can be so unpredictable. Dr. Wells also shares a cautionary tale about an athlete who didn't respond to conservative care, ultimately revealing a significant tear.

Today, we continue our series on healthy relationships, and we're talking about managing difficult relationships. There's a wonderful scene in the classic film To Kill a Mockingbird, when the attorney Atticus Finch is confronted by the father of a girl who has accused a black man of rape, the father, enraged walks up to Finch, played perfectly by Gregory Peck. He spits in Finch's face as the attorneys' children watch. You can see the anger in Finch's face, but he slowly and calmly maintains his composure. He simply walks past the man, who now looks pretty small in everyone's eyes. God has given us the power over difficult people. It's called not letting them set the rules. 1 Peter 3:9 says, “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing because to this you were called, so that you may inherit a blessing.” Not always easy, definitely, but we're capable of it. Remember that. This life is very much about winning and losing. Determine that a difficult person in your life is not going to win by controlling you and getting under your skin. In wrestling terms, don't let that person pin you. Is that obnoxious person in your life really all that obnoxious, or are you a grouch, letting yourself get caught in what is really only a difference in personalities? Go home from work one evening and think about that. Make your mind up to start out the next day by being nice to that person. You'll be surprised how that can change the equation. And that's what Colossians 4:6 is talking about when it says, “Let your speech be always with grace seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man.” Or maybe you're a man frustrated with the relationship between your wife and your mother. This is always a potentially difficult situation. Maybe you think your wife should be more adaptable, but you've forgotten what God told the man in Genesis 2:24. It says, “This is why a man leaves his father and mother, and is united to his wife. And they become one flesh.” Your responsibility in that situation is to your wife, not to making sure your parents' feelings come first in all situations. So, you see, often that difficult person you're dealing with is you, or at the very least a different perspective will help you see where the fault really lies. Finally, in 1 Corinthians 5, we read that Paul advises for really difficult people, a cooling-off period is legitimate. For example, the person who is causing real strife in a church should not be allowed to go on like that indefinitely; bad behavior sometimes must be confronted for the good of the community. And even for the good of the offended person, this is sound advice. So, if we stick to what the Lord has already told us and our tried and true methods for dealing with difficult people, we can get to a better place. Let's pray.Father God, a person who is angry or a troublemaker creates chaos for everyone. Help us analyze each of these situations as unique so that we know how to handle them from your Word. And most especially help us make it a habit to pray for those who are difficult so that we might see their lives changed and brought into harmony and unity. In Jesus' name, amen. Change your shirt, and you can change the world! Save 15% Off your entire purchase of faith-based apparel + gifts at Kerusso.com with code KDD15.

The major sticking point remains Russia's demand that Ukraine withdraw from the rest of the Donbas, which Ukrainian leaders deem politically impossible. While Russia has scaled back some territorial claims, a viable peace settlement likely necessitates a ceasefire along existing lines, coupled with lifting sanctions. Escalation risks remain high due to potential accidental military clashes. 915-930 Delayed Budapest Summit and Ukraine Negotiation Sticking Points. Michael Bernstam discussed the Trump administration's politically significant sanctions targeting Russia's two largest oil producers, Rosneft and Lukoil, affecting 56% of Russian output. The sanctions caused world oil prices to jump temporarily and elicited an immediate angry response from Putin, who called it an "unfriendly act." The primary financial impact on Russia will be much deeper discounts demanded by buyers, significantly hurting the Russian budget. Europe is meanwhile nearing liberation from Russian energy dependence due to abundant US liquefied natural gas (LNG). 945-1000 UN Cyber Crime Treaty: Authoritarian Assault on Free Speech. Ivana Stradner discussed the controversial UN Cyber Crime Treaty, which she argues is an assault on international rule of law spearheaded by Russia and China. The treaty is feared because it enables digital authoritarianism, censorship, and surveillance by potentially forcing companies to grant government access to private data and share user information globally. The US should reject ratification and defer to the Budapest Convention, relying instead on powerful offensive and defensive cyber capabilities for deterrence. SECOND HOUR 10-1015 Political Shifts and Security Crises Across Latin America. Professor Evan Ellis reported on a shifting Latin American landscape. Argentina's Milei navigates a key election after implementing painful economic cuts, backed by a new US currency swap deal. Bolivia's Luis Arce seeks warmer US ties while managing a severe economic crisis. Peru's president declared a state of emergency to address rampant insecurity and extortion in Lima. Concurrently, the US is escalating pressure on Venezuela's Maduro regime, primarily targeting the criminal Cartel de los Soles leadership. 1015-1030 Political Shifts and Security Crises Across Latin America. THIRD HOUR 1100-1115 Robert McNamara: From WWII Statistical Control to Kennedy's Star. Professor William Taubman detailed Robert McNamara's rise, beginning as a statistician in WWII advising General Curtis LeMay on firebombing techniques, a success McNamara later regretted as potentially criminal. After becoming president of Ford, he reluctantly joined JFK's administration as Secretary of Defense. McNamara's brilliance and efficiency led Kennedy to admire him as the cabinet's star, even considering him for vice president in 1964 and the presidential candidate in 1968. 1115-1130 Robert McNamara: From WWII Statistical Control to Kennedy's Star. FOURTH HOUR 12-1215 The AI Infrastructure Gold Rush and Europe's Absence. Chris Riegel discusses how the AI revolution is driving a feverish rush to build large data centers (one gigawatt or better), though energy access is a critical choke point that may cause conflict between commercial demand and normal consumers by summer 2026. This intense global competition, likened to a gold rush, is primarily a two-horse race between the US and China. Europe is largely sitting out the advanced AI development wave, which is considered a tactical mistake that may leave them reliant on American or Chinese technology. 1215-1230        CBP Admits Fake Record Used to Jail Bolsonaro Advisor in Brazil. Mary Anastasia O'Grady discusses how US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) admitted an erroneous entry record was created and used by Brazilian Justice Alexandre de Moraes to jail Felipe Martins, an advisor to former President Bolsonaro. De Moraes used the apparently fake I-94 document, which contained a misspelling and a canceled passport number, to hold Martins for 183 days to extract information about an alleged coup plot. The unprecedented CBP admission confirms a file violation and suggests ongoing malfeasance. 1230-1245 US Accelerates Moon Race Against China. Rick Fisher and David Livingston discuss how the US moon race is accelerating, driven by President Trump's demand to land on the moon by 2028 and concerns that China, using the Long March 10 booster, might get there by 2029. Interim NASA Director Sean Duffy reopened the lunar lander contract, previously held by SpaceX's Starship, to Blue Origin and potentially Lockheed Martin, seeking multiple pathways. The Chinese space program is viewed as a strategic maneuver aimed at distracting the US from other global conflicts. 1245-100 AM US Accelerates Moon Race Against China.
