We are back with that sweet sweet corona content! Having found ourselves with a little extra quarantine time and not a lot of people to talk to besides ourselves, we have decided to bring you.... ALL IN YOUR HEAD - CORONAVIRUS EDITION!! No one asked, we delivered. You're welcome. Show Notes: Matty Matheson's ideas on how to spend your time https://www.instagram.com/p/B94RvrdnhB3/ “If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy, don’t hesitate. Give in to it. There are plenty of lives and whole towns destroyed or about to be. We are not wise, and not very often kind. And much can never be redeemed. Still life has some possibility left. Perhaps this is its way of fighting back, that sometimes something happened better than all the riches or power in the world. It could be anything, but very likely you notice it in the instant when love begins. Anyway, that’s often the case. Anyway, whatever it is, don’t be afraid of its plenty. Joy is not made to be a crumb. (Don't Hesitate)” ― Mary Oliver, Swan: Poems and Prose Poems

Ian lost his wallet a few days ago, and then, as Stanley Hudson would say, "lost his damn mind." So we used this episode to deconstruct that experience and the lies that his anxiety was telling to him as he panicked about finding his wallet. Anxiety creates a narrative that whatever is happening is the end of the world, and it's hard to remind yourself otherwise. Our hope is that, by thinking about the anxiety lies vs the truth, it makes it easier to recognize the anxiety lies when you start thinking them again in the future.
