Hoy recordaremos a un famosísimo actor, reconocido en todo el mundo por su trabajo pero que no hizo una actuación buena ni en la extraescolar de teatro. Hoy hablaremos de Coy Luther Perry III, que tiene nombre de Coñac del Club del Gourmet del Hipercor pero que no es otro que Luke Perry. Luke nació el 11 de octubre de 1966 en Ohio. Su madre era ama de casa y su padre trabajaba en Acerinox. Para introducir un poquito de drama a su vida, Luke se ponía a ver con su madre después de comer Abigail mientras se comían un mostachón de Utrera. Sus primeros pinitos como actor fueron en su ciudad, Fredericktown, haciendo de Freddy, la mascota del Instituto, que se llamaba Fredericktown High School. Son los típicos pueblos de la USA profunda en la que el colmado se llama Fredericktown Store, la Iglesia Fredericktown First Presbyterian Church, pero el puticlub se llama “Open-Core” porque está al lado de una gasolinera y el dueño es de Albacete. En 1982, con 16 años y después de acabar la secundaria, sus padres habían hablao pa que el niño aprendiera a plantar soja y a engordá cochino pa venderlos en el Fredericktown Farmer's Market, pero el niño dijo que no, que si no podía continuar su carrera de actor en Ohio después de lo de Freddy, que se iba a Hollywood. Entre tanto trabajó en una empresa pavimentadora y consiguió algunos papeles de fondo, vamos el que sostiene una taza de café en la máquina del fondo. Hasta que alguien le tuvo que deber 6000 pesetas en güisqui y en 1986 lo llevaron a la audición del que sería su primer trabajo como actor profesional, el cortometraje Twisted Sister: Come Out and Play donde Alice Cooper hace de Alice cooper y Luke Perry hace de Luke Perry. Se ve que tuvo que gustarle a alguien porque en 1990 lo llamaron al fijo para integrarse en el elenco original de la serie juvenil Beverly Hills 90210, encarnando a Dylan McKay. Eso sí, en cuanto entró tó los eneros era el que se cogía el primero las vacaciones porque no se perdía ningún año el Fredericktown Tomato Show, que es la Tomatina de Ohio. En esta época a Luke Perry ya le medía la frente más el tupé 7 pulgadas que en cm serían 2 campos de fútbol y se compró una oferta de 3x2 en camisas de cuadros de leñador en el Carrefour que sólo quitó una vez pa ponerse en el hospital una batita con el culo fuera. Cómo el representante lo llamaba pa trabajá menos que el Sepe a un parao, Luke se metió también a hacer doblajes participando en Mortal Combat, Hulk, Padre de Familia o Los Simpsons. En 1993 se casó con Rachel Sharp, du-duru-du-du-du, y tuvieron 2 hijos, pero se separaron en 2003 porque dicen las malas lenguas que Luke era más aburrío que un acuario de almejas. Inesperadamente, en 2017, Luke recibió por fin una llamada para participar en la serie de adolescentes “Riverdale”, pero como cuando se ponía en calzoncillos se le salía un güebete por el lado decidieron darle el papel del padre del protagonista. Desgraciadamente, el 4 de marzo de 2019, con 52 años, Luke tuvo un dolar de cabeza mu grande y todavía está buscando una aspirina, aunque ustedes siempre podrán recordarlo cuando se coman un mostachón de Utrera o tengan que ponerse en el hospital una batita con el culo fuera.

Since wrapping her 137-episode run on Riverdale about two years ago, Lili Reinhart's been determined to craft a filmography with intention. As she noted during our Collider Ladies Night conversation, she's always been picky about the work she takes on, but in this next stage of her career, her time on Riverdale is giving her the opportunity to say no and only do films and shows “that make sense or speak to me in certain ways,” and she's going to take it.Thus far, that mentality is working in Reinhart's favor big time. This year she celebrated the release of American Sweatshop, a wildly intense and deeply chilling tale of a social media moderator responsible for ridding the internet of the most offensive content, and the toll that job takes on her. That movie, which features a exceptional lead performance from Reinhart is available to buy or rent on digital platforms. Next year the one to keep an eye on is Forbidden Fruits, in which Reinhart plays Apple, the leader of a coven called The Fruits that operates out of a Free People-like store in the mall. With an ensemble that includes Reinhart, Victoria Pedretti, Alexandra Shipp, and Lola Tung, there's no doubt Forbidden Fruits will make waves when it hits theaters in 2026.But, a very special something you don't have to wait for? Hal & Harper, a limited series that's quietly one of the best new shows of 2026. From the mind of Cha Cha Real Smooth writer, director, and star, Cooper Raiff, Hal & Harper stars Reinhart opposite Raiff as the title brother and sister. Throughout eight episodes, the show explores Hal and Harper's codependent relationship, digging into the benefits of having an impossibly loving and supportive sibling, while also showing how that dynamic is holding them back. In order to do that to the fullest, the show also cuts back to pivotal points in Hal and Harper's childhood, scenes during which Raiff makes the bold decision to have him and Reinhart play the seven and nine-year-old versions of their characters — to great effect.Between American Sweatshop and Hal & Harper, Reinhart doesn't just go two-for-two in 2025, but she starts to lock in the fact that she's an undeniable star, an actor with range that Riverdale only scratched the surface of. Plus, it also proves that that pickiness is paying off. “Where you have maybe 25% control of your career, in that industry, I want to feel that I milked that percentage of what I could control.” So far, so good in that respect. When people ask him when he's making Elf 2, he's using the Jonas Brothers to mentally push through it.We're transported to the theater where the JoBros come out and sing Feels Like Christmas, and we could not be more in. Neither could Will Ferrell. He is loving it.The show wraps and they head to the end-of-tour party. They've got a flight in the morning, but their manager is leaving tonight, so he gives each of them a whistle “in case they need it,” and a card for a 24/7 travel agency. Joe rips it up — they don't need that.Joe wants to go out with his brothers, but they aren't having it. They're tired dads in their 30s — what could they possibly be missing out on? Joe breaks into a full musical number about what could happen that night. It does not work.Nick FaceTimes Priyanka to say how excited he is to get home. He's exhausted. Touring is hard and, according to Nick, he's the only brother who really works.Kevin FaceTimes Danielle, and she asks if he's told the brothers his “news.” He has not.Joe heads to the hotel bar where he chats with Santa, who asks what's got him down in the dumps. Joe just misses the good old days when the brothers actually hung out. After Joe walks away, Santa sings a spell that will remind them of their brotherly magic. Unless they find that bond again, they won't make it home for Christmas. And to make sure that happens? Santa blows up their plane.The brothers arrive at the airport to find their plane destroyed. Luckily, Brad (their manager) slipped the travel-agency cards into their wallets. They call, and the agent gets them a flight out of another airport — but they have to catch a train in 30 minutes. Their driver is absolutely unhinged, like Dan trying to make it to the Kelly Clarkson Show taping on time.They grab their tickets and even have time for a song about coming home for Christmas. Kenny G pops in for a sax solo because of course he does. But once they board the train, it magically switches from heading to Paris to heading to Amsterdam. Uh oh.On the train, Joe bumps into his childhood love, Lucy, who moved to Portland back when they were in love. She's going through a breakup and came to Europe for some space. They hug and part ways. Definitely nothing to worry about.They're shocked when they actually end up in Amsterdam and are forced to stay the night with no guaranteed flight in the morning. Luckily, Ethan — the guy Nick starred with in Home Alone: The Musical — is doing a one-night-only show called Egg Nog with an EGOT and is flying out on a private jet. Maybe they can hitch a ride. Unfortunately, Ethan hates Nick. Ethan played Kevin, Nick played his dad, and it created… weird vibes.They show up to the show, Nick sings a duet from the musical, and he accidentally embarrasses Ethan. So: no plane.Crazily, Lucy is also there. Joe hangs out with her for the night, which gives Santa the opportunity to swipe the passports Joe keeps in his fancy passport pouch. Joe and Lucy jump into a freezing canal and get chased by police — a whole thing — but Joe fumbles the moment romantically. He knows it, so he sings about it.The brothers call the travel agent again, who says if they can get to Germany, her ex-boyfriend can fly them home on his private jet. They rent a car, it breaks down, and they end up hitching a ride with a Christmas tree truck driven by… Santa, naturally. After a heart-to-heart with Santa, Nick hops in the back to hang with his brothers, complete with a song and childhood Christmas home videos.They finally reach the jet — which is piloted by Archie from Riverdale. The dude is unhinged, gets knocked out, and they're forced to crash-land the plane. It's freezing.This leads to a massive argument. Nick extended the tour without them. Joe thinks Nick is mean to him. Kevin just wants to sing a lead vocal on one song. They storm off and — of course — sing about it.They eventually find their way back to each other… but now they're surrounded by wolves. Luckily, wolves hate loud noises, so they all take turns yelling apologies. Santa scares off the wolves. Then Brad shows up to save them and finally get them home for Christmas.The brothers convince Lucy to show up and surprise Joe. He tries to give a romantic speech that absolutely stinks, but it's good enough because they kisssssss. Then they break into song — and Kevin finally gets to take the bridge.The movie ends with Will Ferrell at yet another Jonas Brothers concert as they sing Sucker.
