"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Proverbs 4:23 The Proverbs teach us that we can in fact instruct our hearts, for it is the leaning of our heart; its inclination and tendency, that determines both our lives today, and for eternity.

This episode looks at TIME a Bible reading tool developed by Church of the City New York. It's a tool that I have used in my own times of reading the Bible and is one that facilitates both formation and encounter. I hope that this tool leads to great joy as you engage the scriptures.

Only when we can answer with robust conviction and fire in our bones that Jesus is the Son of the living God, will we become part of the testimony that forms the foundation of the Church; commissioned with the redemptive mission of God until He returns to make all things new.

Through this story, we receive an invitation to come out of hiding and 'go in the strength we have' for the Lord is with us. I had the great joy of sharing this message with West Point Church last week - it burns in my heart and I'd like to share it with you too. It's a little longer than my usual weekly devotions, so find a comfortable place and be encouraged, 'valiant warrior'.

In Mark 8:22-26 we read of an encounter between Jesus and a blind man. This powerful story belongs to all of humanity - it is my story and it is your story. May we receive a touch from Jesus that we may see everything clearly.

Truth is a person and His name is Jesus.

As David Foster Wallace explains, we all worship - the only choice we get, is what to worship. What's in your heart, what do you love and what are you worshipping?
