The vision for 2026 is more than just a strategic plan; it is a direct challenge to every member of our community. This week during Vision Sunday, Pastor Alvin explains why the "who" must always precede the "what" if we hope to see a lasting impact in our city and beyond. As we continue to pursue the vision, we learn growth requires much more than just additional space—it requires a community anchored in unity, connection, and a ready discipleship. Drawing from the wisdom of Exodus, Ephesians, and the Parable of the Sower, this episode explores why revival is only as sustainable as the people willing to build it, challenging us to move beyond a fleeting moment and step fully into our collective mission. Scripture references: Exodus 18:17-26 Matthew 13 Mark 4 Ephesians 4:12-16 Isaiah 6:1-8 ABOUT US At Nashville Life Church, our vision is dedicated to following Jesus & building leaders. Vision Sunday - Pastor Jonathan Simons
This Sunday is Vision Sunday! Together, we hear Pastor Scott cast vision for the church over the next year, and see what happens when we put Jesus over everything. Summit Park Church is a life-giving church in Lee's Summit, MO, with an incredible kids program, Bible-centered teaching, and an encouraging atmosphere for the whole family. Plan your visit at https://www.summitparkchurch.com. 425 SW Oldham Pkwy, Lee's Summit, Missouri 64081.
We exist as a church to evangelize the lost, equip the saved, and serve our community to the glory of God. This is not just a mission statement on our walls but a calling on our lives. The question is not whether we have a purpose in the body of Christ, but whether we will step into it. Just as every part of your physical body serves a function, so every part of the church serves a purpose. You are not here by accident. You are indispensable. Your neighbor does not have your gifts. Your coworker cannot do what God has called you to do. This year we are embracing one unified God-sized goal: to evangelize the lost, equip the saved, and serve the community to the glory of God through spiritually forming disciples of Christ who are united in ministry. So what does this look like for you? Commit five hours a week to your local church. Come to a worship service to gather with the body and stir one another toward love and good works. Join a discipleship group to grow deeper in your faith and in community with other believers. And find a place to serve, to use your gifts to build up the body of Christ. The watching world will know we are His disciples not by our programs or our buildings, but by our love for one another. As we stand united in purpose and relationship, the world will see something different. They will see Jesus. Will you commit to being a healthy, productive member of the body of Christ this year?

This week we are looking at the Vision for the church for this year.
As believers, we trust God for the victory, yet we're called to faithfully prepare and give our very best. On Vision Sunday, Pastor Shawn reminds us that when we invest our hearts and time into growing people and reaching the lost, we position ourselves for the incredible things God is ready to do.

Genesis 12:1-3The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father's household to the land I will show you.“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.I will bless those who bless you,and whoever curses you I will curse;and all peoples on earthwill be blessed through you.”Isaiah 37:30-32“This will be the sign for you, Hezekiah:“This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.Once more a remnant of the kingdom of Judahwill take root below and bear fruit above. For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the Lord Almightywill accomplish this."
Sometimes it takes coming to the end of yourself to see what God is doing. In 2 Kings 7, four lepers are trapped outside a besieged city—rejected, starving, and staring down death. But their desperation becomes their clarity: they see an option no one else can see. And when they stumble upon an unexpected abundance, they face a choice that will define them: hoard it or share it.Over the past four years, our church has experienced a similar kind of grace—from meeting in a mold-infested building during a pandemic to stumbling upon an embarrassment of riches we never could have anticipated. Growth in depth. Growth in reach. A movement of God we didn't conjure and can't take credit for.But that grace raises a question: What do we do with what we've been given? In this Vision Sunday message, we explore what faithful stewardship looks like in this season—and why we believe God is calling us to experiment with a third service from Easter to Father's Day. This is a day of good news. Let's not keep it to ourselves.Complete the survey here.Fill out the Serving Interest Form here.
Vision Sunday 2026Matthew 28:16-20
Week 1 of our Build series is a wake-up call from the prophet Haggai: “The time has not come… the LORD's house should be built.” And God's response is blunt—“Consider your ways.” Because when we keep postponing God to build our own comforts, we discover that more money, more stuff, and more success still can't satisfy the hunger underneath it all. This message confronts procrastination and misplaced priorities—and then casts a clear Vision Sunday picture of what we're building at Freedom Church DC: not property for property's sake, but a house with purpose—a place where heaven meets earth and people encounter God. From Jacob's “house of God” moment, to the tabernacle, to Solomon's temple, to Jesus cleansing the temple, we're reminded: the house isn't defined by construction—it's defined by purpose. And the vision is simple and strong: the church doesn't have a mission; the mission has a church. We are here to seek and save the lost, make disciples, and multiply gospel presence across the DC metro—through small groups, preaching points, and church-planting momentum. This is a call to stop living for “my house” alone and to put on a hard hat with God's people: it's time to build God's house.Scriptures referenced (as used in the sermon)Haggai 1:1–9 Romans 13:11Matthew 19:21 Exodus 25:8 Habakkuk 2:22 Chronicles 6 Psalm 127 (“unless the LORD builds…”) Key takeaways:Time moves—so what are we building with it? Self-first living always comes up empty. God's house is about purpose, not property. We're building people—and God builds His church.

What does biblical vision really mean—and why does it matter for your life, family, and church? In this Vision Sunday message, we explore how God's vision brings clarity, alignment, and healthy pace, not pressure or burnout.Vision is not about personal ambition or creativity. According to Scripture, vision is divine revelation—seeing what God is saying now and aligning our lives accordingly. In this message, you'll learn:Why vision creates boundaries, not just movementHow lack of vision leads people to drift off missionWhy vision must be caught before it's taughtHow clarity produces alignment in hearts, families, and communitiesWhy God's vision always has a grace-filled paceHow to steward spiritual tensions without living in extremesWhat God is calling our church into next—and how it affects you personally
This message is all about where we believe God is leading us as a church in 2026.

Today we celebrated Vision Sunday and unveiled our 2026 theme, A City on a Hill, rooted in Jesus' call for His Church to shine as light in a dark world. Just as the early church was an undeniable force in its community, City First is called to be a visible, Christ-centered movement marked by love, humility, and transformed lives. As we step into 2026, our prayer is to shine Jesus' light in a way that awakens curiosity about God!
In this sermon, pastor Dylan Dodson preaches from 2 Kings 4:1-7 as we look at our plans and vision for New City Church in 2026.

Vision Sunday 2026 is a powerful look at where God is leading GO Church and how we can be part of His greater mission. Drawing from the Prayer of Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:10, Pastor JC challenges us to pray boldly for God’s blessing, expanded influence, guiding presence, and divine protection—not for our comfort, but so we can bless our city and the nations. In this message, we celebrate what God has done, share the vision for the next five years, and unpack our mission to gather together, grow in Christ, and go make a difference. Vision gives us the ability to see clearly and run with purpose—and this is an invitation to step into what God is building next.

Vision Sunday 2026 celebrates and reports on the state and direction of MillCity Church, reaffirming its mission to Love God, Love People, and Love Life… Together and its vision to be a life-giving church changing history one person at a time. Since launching in 2015, MillCity has experienced sustained growth, reaching record attendance in 2025, baptizing hundreds since inception, expanding to MillCity Oshkosh, strengthening prayer, discipleship, and verse-by-verse biblical teaching, and supporting over 105 missionaries worldwide through faithful generosity. The report highlights measurable fruit—salvations, spiritual growth, strong engagement of children and youth, and financial health—while emphasizing that true success is life change, not numbers alone. Looking ahead to 2026, MillCity senses a clear call to focus on strengthening families, especially young families, through initiatives like ROOTED, expanded LifeGroups, WonderKids Academy, and focused men's and women's ministries, trusting God to continue growing His church as faithful seed is planted and the Holy Spirit brings the harvest.
Growth doesn't happen by accident — it grows through faith, care, and intention.God calls His people to make room where others can belong, grow, and follow Jesus.Together, we look ahead with faith, purpose, and expectation.
Vision Sunday 2026: Ransomed & Redeemed Romans 12:1–3Vision doesn't begin with strategy—it begins with mercy. On Vision Sunday, Pastor Kevin closes the Better Than New series and invites the church into God's shaping work for the year ahead. Drawing from Romans 12, this message reframes vision not as self-improvement or pressure, but as transformation rooted in the mercies of God.Rather than asking how we can optimize our lives, Scripture invites us to be renewed—formed from the inside out. Vision flows from redemption, not ambition. Renewal leads to discernment. And discernment draws us into shared life and shared mission. In this message, you'll hear the heart behind Broad River Church's 2026 theme Ransomed & Redeemed, and a clear picture of what it looks like to be a redeemed people, a redeeming church, and a restoring presence in the places God has planted us.Vision isn't about predicting the future—it's about choosing faithfulness. Throughout Scripture, God's people marked moments of divine provision with physical reminders so that future generations would remember God's faithfulness. In Joshua 4, after crossing the Jordan, Israel was told to set up stones as a permanent testimony. Not to celebrate themselves, but to declare, “The Lord did this.” Vision Sunday is our version of that moment. This message celebrated what God did in and through CCC last year—lives changed, communities impacted, the Gospel proclaimed—and cast a vision for where we're headed in 2026. But this was more than a financial report. It was a declaration of gratitude and a call to continued faithfulness. Because every dollar given is a seed sown into eternity. Every ministry launched, every child discipled, every person baptized, every meal served, and every soul reached is part of the story God is writing through us. As we look ahead, we aren't just building a church. We're building a memorial of faith that future generations will point to and say, “That's where God moved.”
For our annual VISION SUNDAY, Pastor Richard talks about where we are heading in 2026 showing how we can increase our INFLUENCE in our COMMUNITY. He gives 7 thoughts about IMPACTING OUR CITY and REGION for Jesus!
