Awakening Miracles

Lesson 198 is our topic today: "Only my condemnation Injures Me." We're getting sciency today to discuss how we 'attract' realities that match our internal beat up. Reviewing how suffering in life reflects a pattern of mental haunting of our past traumas and mistakes.

When we think of "who" we are, there are so many factors that come into play. So many pieces to consider that it can often make change difficult. From programming in the womb, to ancestral traumas, and environmental circumstances growing up, we have a plethora of 'things' we've based our identity on. Unfortunately, this blocks us from hearing God's voice. From seeing the miracles.

Lesson 8 is our topic today: "My mind is preoccupied with past thoughts." As much as we want to believe we have free will, the reality is, we are only seeing the world through the lens of our past experiences. We are perceiving things as they WERE and not as they CAN be. So when you decide that you're ready to make a change, you'll have to retrain your brain to relinquish attachments to the past.

It's easy to get wrapped up, fired up and triggered when the depth of our hurt does the perceiving and thinking for us...but as A Course in Miracles shows us, the REASON we are upset is not actually linked to the current thing that's happening. The more we diminish the need to give a sliding scale to our upset, based on how much we hurt, the easier it becomes to see the gifts, find the blessings, and move through the lessons.

When you've been hurt, Ego gains the upper hand...having you believe that love is dangerous and painful. But as God IS love, we must review that mental connection to make room for God to show up in our lives. Today's episode covers Chapter 12, Lesson 4: Seeking and Finding to help you reframe your connection to the divine love that IS you.

The people fighting the worst internal battles tend to be the most judgmental...and have no clue that they are doing it. We will condemn others by comparing ourselves to them and their life, wondering 'why am I not so lucky?' or being righteous about our stance and though it's somehow better or more aligned. Today's episode is an inner reflection on how we project our internal dialogue.

When we've experienced trauma, it's harder to let God lead because the pain of our past tends to override our ability to listen with an open heart. A Course in Miracles shows us how to stop feeling like we have to do it all on our own and helps to guide us into faith with the Creator.

Today's A Course in Miracles lesson, "my mind is preoccupied with past thoughts," reminds us that what we perceive in this moment is not what IS. In fact, our ability to SEE what's present is not accurate as God is infinite and our thoughts are limited.
