The student missions report Sunday; each of the students from our three teams (two to North Carolina, one to Puerto Rico) share favorite memories and what God taught them.

3 of 3; Pastor Matthew concludes the series by comparing the creation narratives of humanity in Genesis 1 and 2. How do we explain the dramatically different order of creation found in these opening chapters of the Bible? In exploring how the ancients would have understood the Hebrew terminology used in both accounts, reconciling the two accounts is possible.

Is it possible to have different beliefs regarding origins and still honor God? How would the ancients have understood the first chapter of Genesis, and how should that inform our reading of it? In John 4:1-42, we see Jesus reaching out to someone most Jews would have gone to great lengths to avoid. Jesus knew that everyone needed to discover and experience God’s love—regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or reputation.

Week 3 of 3; Pastor Matthew concludes the series looking at the poetry of Lamentations and its major themes. This week he looks at the theme of God's sovereignty throughout the book, in particular in the fifth chapter.

Pastor Matthew follows up the mission trips with a challenge from the book of Acts through the stories of Annianias, Saphira, and Stephen. Will we serve God with every moment of our lives? Or simply play the part to look good at church?

The annual student missions report; 64 students and adults traveled on mission trips to Maine, Detroit, and Peru. They shared their stories on June 25th during both worship services; this is the combined audio from the two services.
