When we think of someone being ultimate, we usually picture dominance, power, fame—people serving them. Not someone bending down, washing feet. Not someone staying silent while being mocked. Not someone willingly taking the punishment meant for someone else. That's not how greatness is supposed to work… right? But in Mark 15, Jesus redefines “ultimate.”Not with a shiny gold crown—but with a crown of thorns. Not by winning a fight—but by surrendering to the cross. Not by being served—but by serving us, in the most extreme way possible.Jesus is the Ultimate Servant.Join us at Refuel as we dive into Mark 15:1-38.Click here for the message notes.

God isn't looking for flashy…he's looking for faithful. Let's be real for a second—if Jesus walked into Refuel tonight like He walked into Jerusalem in Mark 11, what would He find? Would He find faithful followers or just Wednesday night fans?Would He see someone who posts Bible verses on Sunday but ghosted Him by Friday night? This isn't just history. This is a mirror. Jesus is still walking into temples—but now, the temple is you. He's still flipping tables of fake religion. He's still calling out the proud. But He's also still noticing the nobodies. Still rewarding faithfulness. Still saving lives. Let's dive into Mark 11 and 12 and find out what Jesus is looking for—and how we can be faithful, not flashy, real, not religious, and committed, not just convenient. Our Scripture comes from Mark chapters 11 and 12.For the message notes, click here.

Dr. Sufna John, a licensed psychologist and expert in trauma-informed care, joins us to share her insights on fostering a healthier, more sustainable work environment in the CAC field. Discover how shifting workplace mantras can enhance both the well-being of professionals and the quality of care for the families they serve. Download Transcript Show Notes: In this episode of The SRCAC Exchange podcast, host Christina Rouse kicks off Season 3, focusing on igniting the drive and resilience of Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) professionals. Joined by Dr. Sufna John, a licensed psychologist from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, they explore the ingrained workplace mantras often found within Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs). They focus on how statements like “If I don't do it, no one will” can lead to a culture of martyrdom, burnout, and unhealthy work environments. The conversation encourages CAC professionals to shift from self-sacrificing behaviors to a more sustainable approach that values teamwork, collective responsibility, and long-term resilience. The episode also addresses the role of leadership in transforming workplace culture. Dr. John and Christina discuss strategies to foster a healthier, more supportive environment, emphasizing the need for leaders to model self-care and encourage a collaborative approach to work. The episode provides practical advice for both large teams and single-staff CACs, suggesting ways to reframe responsibilities, seek support, and prevent burnout. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure CAC professionals can continue their crucial work while maintaining their well-being, leading to better outcomes for both staff and the families they serve. Description: In this podcast, Dr. Jordan describes 2 girls, a 4th grader and an 11th grader, who are stressed out due to over full schedules. Dr. Tim also describes 2 other factors that add to children's stress levels today: excessive pressure to excel and valuing achievement over character. Kids and teens have internalized the message that more is better and that everything that they do, grades and sports and activities, are done to improve their future outlook for college applications. This causes kids to get anxious because everything they do as kids now will affect their future. Dr. Jordan describes the need for time to refuel and reground themselves as well as ways that they can take breaks to destress and replenish themselves. Finally, it is critical that kids make self-care important so that they will regularly schedule such times no matter how busy they become.Resources:Dr. Jordan's previous podcast: Why rushed kids are lonely and stressedWatch for Dr. Jordan's new book, Keeping Your Family Grounded When You're Flying By the Seat of Your Pants, revised edition to be published late March 2025Join Our Community:https://www.facebook.com/DrTimJordanhttps://www.instagram.com/drtimjordan/https://www.linkedin.com/in/tim-jordan-md-79799120b/
This week, we're looking at a conversation where Jesus drops a bombshell: Following Him isn't about gaining power, comfort, or status—it's about losing yourself for something greater. This was shocking for His disciples, and honestly, it's still shocking for us today. Join us for Refuel! We're in Mark 8:31-9:1.For the message notes, click here.
Reminder: always take what resonates for you and leave the rest

Welcome back to The Switch! This time, we're talking about the other side of taking flight—landing the plane. Starting ideas is one thing, but knowing when (and how) to land them? That's where the real game is.Switch-it-up Steps:You Have to Land to Move On:If you never land, you can't switch out passengers, refuel, or take a new trip. Finishing an idea—good or bad—lets you make space for what's next.Emergency Landings Happen:Sometimes an idea isn't working, and you have to bring it down fast. It's not failure—it's just knowing when to pivot before you crash. The Market Isn't Always Ready:Not every landing gets clearance. Sketch and I jumped on Snapchat geofilters early, but the market wasn't there yet. Sometimes the Arrivals Board says not yet—doesn't mean never.Planes That Don't Land Teach You More:We've taken off on plenty of projects that never landed. But those experiences make it easier to choose the right flights now—the ones that actually go the distance.Taking off is exciting, but knowing how to land? That's where real creators win.Stay Connected:Catch Eric: @infinitetalkspodCatch Oscar: @happyoscarstudioLand the idea. Refuel. Get back in the air. Let's go!
