Send us a textIn this message, On the Road to Refuel: God's Word is our Fuel, Minister Samson reminds us that God's Word is more than spiritual food—it's daily fuel for our journey. Drawing from scriptures like Matthew 4:4 and Psalm 119:105, he unpacks how the Word sustains, reveals, and equips us. Just like a car's dashboard alerts us to areas needing attention, God's Word exposes what's running low in our lives—mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and more. It doesn't just fill us up; it gets to the heart of what's going on and prepares us to respond with power. The Word of God is our fuel, our guide, and our defense. THIS WEEK'S BIG DISCOVERY The Word of God doesn't just fill me, it fuels me, searches me, and equips me for what's next. Matthew 4:4The Word of God as bread:The Word is not optional; it's essential daily spiritual nutritionYesterday's meal doesn't always sustain today's hunger (or need)The Word fuels our faith and builds trust in God's sustaining powerPsalm 119:105God's Word reveals what needs refueling and how to keep moving forwardEphesians 6:17When the Word of God refuels and reveals, it also equips you to respond - check your gauges!THIS WEEK'S DEVELOPMENTTake the Psalm 119 Challenge - explore the 8 Hebrew words used for God's Word. When we think of someone being ultimate, we usually picture dominance, power, fame—people serving them. Not someone bending down, washing feet. Not someone staying silent while being mocked. Not someone willingly taking the punishment meant for someone else. That's not how greatness is supposed to work… right? But in Mark 15, Jesus redefines “ultimate.”Not with a shiny gold crown—but with a crown of thorns. Not by winning a fight—but by surrendering to the cross. Not by being served—but by serving us, in the most extreme way possible.Jesus is the Ultimate Servant.Join us at Refuel as we dive into Mark 15:1-38.Click here for the message notes.

The discussion features guests Karla Steckler Tye, CEO of Children's Advocacy Centers of Mississippi, and DiDi Ellis, CEO of Kids Hub Child Advocacy Center. Today, they share their combined 25 years of experience and innovative approaches in addressing workforce turnover and highlight Mississippi's pioneering efforts to implement Child Advocacy Studies (CAST), a program designed to prepare the next generation of professionals through interdisciplinary training and experiential learning. The discussion emphasizes the challenges that turnover creates, especially in rural areas like Mississippi, where the loss of a key staff member can disrupt services for children in need. Both Karla and DiDi explain how CAST helps fill these gaps by ensuring that students entering the CAC field are better prepared and equipped with the skills necessary to provide comprehensive care. They also share personal anecdotes, including how CAST has transformed student interns into long-term hires, effectively reducing turnover and enhancing the quality of care. We'll also hear from a graduate of CAST who did her internship at a CAC and what she found so valuable about her experience. The episode offers a deep dive into how intentional recruitment, training, and strategic planning are essential to sustaining the CAC workforce for the future. Hit the subscribe button now! Description: In this podcast, Dr. Jordan describes 2 girls, a 4th grader and an 11th grader, who are stressed out due to over full schedules. Dr. Tim also describes 2 other factors that add to children's stress levels today: excessive pressure to excel and valuing achievement over character. Kids and teens have internalized the message that more is better and that everything that they do, grades and sports and activities, are done to improve their future outlook for college applications. This causes kids to get anxious because everything they do as kids now will affect their future. Dr. Jordan describes the need for time to refuel and reground themselves as well as ways that they can take breaks to destress and replenish themselves.
