2026-06-14 | The Indweller | Holy Spirit | John 14:18-24 Join us this week as Pastor Nate helps us learn how to be better connected to the Holy Spirit. John 14:18-24 Vital and Verifiable God's presence and care is vital, not optional for our life. Jesus' resurrection appearance guarantees His daily presence. Practical and Spiritual Obedience is the greatest form of understanding. 1 John 4:19 “we love because he first loved us” Our love is not the cause of God's love, but God's love is the cause of our love and our obedience is the evidence of our love. What you need is not “out there somewhere” but ‘in here by the Spirit” Experiencing God's presence isn't a matter of vibes but verifiable steps. It is a practical and spiritual experience. Our everyday life can be infused with an active awareness of God's presence through normal acts of obedience. Temporal and Eternal His home in my heart now and my heart in his home forever. Title: How We CollideSpeaker: Nate HoldridgeOverview: In this Sunday message from Matthew 10:16-25, Pastor Nate Holdridge examines what it means for Christ's people to collide with darkness as they carry his life and light into dead and dark places. Jesus sends his disciples out as sheep among wolves, calling them to an intentional vulnerability marked by the wisdom of serpents and the innocence of doves. Pastor Nate walks through the church's realistic expectation of opposition—from courts and synagogues to governments and even families—while pointing to the Spirit's promised help in the hour of trial and the steadfast endurance that marks true disciples. Ultimately, this teaching calls us to behold Christ, the suffering Shepherd who not only models faithful endurance but became our substitute, bearing rejection and hatred for our sake.Link to Sermon Notes

Title: Commissioned to CollideSpeaker: Nate HoldridgeOverview: In this Sunday message, Pastor Nate Holdridge walks through Matthew 9:35–10:15, where the compassionate King who has been colliding with darkness begins to multiply that work through ordinary people. Jesus looks out over crowds that are harassed and helpless—sheep without a shepherd—and is moved with a gut-level compassion that becomes the engine of everything that follows (Matthew 9:36). Rather than rushing to strategize, he commands his followers to pray that the Lord of the harvest would thrust laborers into the field, then forms a strikingly diverse band of twelve and sends them out to represent him in his own self-giving way (Matthew 10:1–8). Pastor Nate shows how the mission still flows downhill from Christ's heart rather than uphill toward God's approval, and how the same King who once sent the Twelve commissions us today to carry his kingdom into the dark places around us. A warm, gospel-centered call to see ourselves not as spectators of Jesus, but as participants in his ongoing collision with darkness.Link to Sermon Notes
Have you ever worked so hard on something, gotten so frustrated, sweat dripping, ready to give up, only to realize you were turning the bolt the wrong way the whole time? In this episode, Pastor Nate Rauschert uses that exact moment to describe what life looks like when we are striving in our own strength instead of flowing in the rhythms of God's grace. Drawing from Psalm 23, Proverbs 3, and James 4, you will discover that grace is not a reward for the people who have it all figured out. It is a gift that overtakes the people who are humble enough to stay surrendered, acknowledge God in everything, and refuse to let sin, distraction, or self-sufficiency cut them off from the voice of the One who actually knows the plan. If your life has felt more like a fight than a flow lately, this episode is exactly what you need. Tune in and find out what it really means to be caught up in the rhythms of grace.
This Sunday, Pastor Nate continued our journey through Romans by reminding us that every person faces a choice regarding the path to righteousness.Paul makes it clear that righteousness is not achieved through our own efforts but is found through faith in Jesus Christ. The path of righteousness requires us to acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus—to recognize Him as Savior and King over every area of our lives. How do we grow in the Lordship of Jesus? Pastor Nate challenged us to:• Know the Scriptures• Know our new identity in Christ• Pay attention to what we think aboutWhen we walk the path of righteousness through faith in Christ, God provides incredible blessings. We receive justification before God, salvation through Jesus, and the removal of shame. Because of Christ, those who trust in Him can stand confidently, knowing they are forgiven, redeemed, and secure in Him.The question for each of us is simple: Which path are we choosing, and is Jesus truly Lord of our lives?

You'll hear powerful stories about legacy, succession, politics in the pulpit, and the moment Nate's schedule literally put him in the hospital—and how God used that to teach him about limits, Sabbath, and identity. In this final message from Galatians, Pastor Nate explored what it means to "ive by the Spirit." Paul reminds us that the Spirit-led life is not mystical or abstract, but practical and visible in everyday relationships. Those who are spiritual restore others with gentleness, bear one another's burdens, support the work of the gospel, and persevere in doing good. Throughout the chapter, Paul contrasts the works of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit and calls believers to reject pride, comparison, and self-reliance.Paul closes the letter by returning to its central theme: our justification is not found through religious works, law-keeping, or outward rituals, but through the grace of God received by faith in Jesus Christ. The only thing worth boasting in is the cross of Christ, through which we have been made a new creation. As we conclude our study of Galatians, we are reminded to stand firm in the true gospel of grace, walk in step with the Spirit, and rest confidently in the fact that we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ which transforms, and keeps us to the very end.
Title: The Good ContagionSpeaker: Nate HoldridgeOverview: In this Sunday sermon at Calvary, Pastor Nate Holdridge preaches through Matthew 9:18–34, where Jesus collides with a world polluted by death, shame, blindness, and spiritual captivity. Three remarkable encounters reveal the good contagion of the King: a synagogue ruler whose daughter has died, a woman whose twelve-year affliction has left her isolated and unclean, two blind men crying out to the Son of David for mercy, and a demon-oppressed man brought to Jesus by others. Rather than being defiled by what he touches, Jesus transfers his cleanness and life to those who reach for him—even with the smallest measure of faith. Pastor Nate unfolds how Jesus can transfer his life to us, include us in his good kingdom, and work with our little faith, calling us to refuse to be defined by what isolates us and instead be defined by the King who calls them "daughter" and "son." In this week's message, Pastor Nate took us to the Book of Ephesians in a message titled "A Church Family" from Ephesians 2:8-22, with a special focus on verses 19-22.Many people view church as simply a place they attend, but God's Word reminds us that through Jesus, the church is so much more. Because of Christ, believers are not just attendees gathered in the same building each week—we are members of the family of God.Pastor Nate highlighted four truths about the church family:• Because of Jesus, we are more than attendees—we are the family of God (v. 19).• Because of Jesus, we have a secure foundation in the family of God (v. 20).• Because of Jesus, each believer has a purpose and function within the church family (v. 21).• Because of Jesus, we are being built together into a dwelling place for God (v. 22).The church is not simply an organization to join but a family to belong to. Through Christ, God has brought us together, given us a firm foundation, equipped us with purpose, and is continually shaping us into a people who display His presence to the world.
Pastor Nate brings the message, “Protecting Unity with the Lord's Supper” - Part 1, from 1 Corinthians 11:17-22. We are returning back to chapter 11 for the next two weeks and studying the unity of the local church around the Lord's Table. The problem was that the Corinthians were so wrongfully divided that their practice of the Lord's Supper was actually invalidated. There are crucial lessons to learn and practices to apply within this important passage so that our church reflects Biblical, God-honoring unity.

Pastor Nate digs into Deuteronomy 6:5-9 to discover how God — the Creator of both kids and parents — designed parenting to be. Has culture subconsciously influenced the way we parent? Does our parenting strategy truly line up with God's Word? This past Sunday, Pastor Nate continued our walk through Romans as we looked at Romans 10:1-4 and were challenged by Paul's deep burden for people to know Jesus.Paul said, “My heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.” What a reminder that the gospel doesn't just change what we believe, it changes our hearts. It reshapes our desires, our burdens, and the way we pray for others. The same Paul who once persecuted the church had been completely transformed by the grace of God. His greatest desire became seeing people come to faith in Christ. That's the power of the gospel at work in a life. This message challenged us to ask:Have comfort and distraction replaced gospel urgency in our lives? As believers, we are called to live with open eyes and willing hearts, ready to point people to Jesus. This week, pray that God would soften your heart and place one person in your path who needs to hear the hope of the gospel. Invite them to church. Share your story. Pray with them. Step out in faith and trust God to work. The harvest is ready. May we be willing workers who continue to Make Jesus Known.
Pastor Nate brings the message, "Belonging and Being the Body of Christ” from 1 Corinthians 12:12-27. The human body is a work of Creative Genius. Its connectivity and interdependence has the best doctors and researchers regularly amazed. God has so designed the church to be a body in its own way with each person being interdependent with others to live the Christian life.

The Disillusionment of God | Pastor Nate
Today at Little Flock, Pastor Nate shared a powerful message titled “The Aim Of A Godly Woman.”Through Proverbs 31:25-26, Titus 2:3-5, and 2 Timothy 1:5, we were reminded of the impact of women who faithfully pursue Christ and influence those around them for God's glory.Godly women aim for Christ-like character.A woman who walks closely with Jesus reflects His strength, wisdom, grace, and love in her everyday life.Godly women aim to be faithful in their calling.God honors women who serve faithfully in the roles and responsibilities He has entrusted to them.Godly women aim to influence the next generation. A godly legacy is built through intentional discipleship, encouragement, and faithfulness passed from one generation to the next.Today's message challenged all of us to pursue lives that point others to Christ and leave a lasting spiritual impact.#LittleFlock #MothersDay #TheAimOfAGodlyWoman #FaithfulGeneration
Pastor Nate brings the message, "The Spirit's Unity in the Church's Diversity” from 1 Corinthians 12:1-13. In our Christian "circles" we tend to minimize the Spirit of God. It might be that we've over-reacted to bad theology elsewhere, and are now missing the important role of the Spirit. However, it's crucial for every Christian to see that only by the Spirit can we truly be saved and united in Christ. (We'll come back to the second half of chapter 11 in a few weeks).
What if discipleship is less about proving yourself and more about being invited into a new way of life? In this episode of Sunday School Remix, Pastor Nate looks at Matthew 4:18–25, where Jesus calls his first disciples and gives ordinary fishermen an extraordinary invitation: “Follow me.” This familiar Sunday school story becomes something deeper when we notice who Jesus calls, where he goes, and how he redeems the parts of us we think disqualify us.What You'll Learn:See discipleship as an invitation, not a spiritual task listUnderstand why Jesus calling fishermen was so meaningfulExplore repentance as a turning toward a new way of lifeNotice how Jesus crosses boundaries in his ministryRemember that God can redeem the parts of your story that feel like failureChapters: 00:00 What if discipleship is different than we thought? 00:44 Jesus begins calling the first disciples 01:36 “Follow me and I will make you fishers of people” 02:22 Discipleship is not just a spiritual checklist 03:07 Repentance as turning toward a new life 04:29 Faith as surrender and a new direction 05:15 James and John leave the family business 06:38 Tomorrow does not have to be like today 07:26 Jesus teaches, heals, and proclaims good news 08:35 The disciples learn by following Jesus 09:18 Jesus crosses every boundary 10:38 Why fishermen were unlikely disciples 11:37 What it meant to be a rabbi's disciple 12:27 Jesus offers a new opportunity 13:23 Discipleship as a gift, not a burden 14:16 Jesus redeems what feels like failure 15:23 God works through what we think disqualifies us 16:18 The story did not end in Sunday schoolIf this episode gives you a new way to think about faith, discipleship, or your own story, take a moment to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who could use the reminder that grace often begins where we thought we were disqualified.Connect with Bethany:

Title: Upside Down ResponseSpeaker: Nate HoldridgeOverview: In this Sunday sermon from Calvary Monterey, Pastor Nate Holdridge brings the Sermon on the Mount to its climactic conclusion in Matthew 7:13–29. Jesus does not end his kingdom curriculum with a tidy takeaway but with a choice—presenting four sharp contrasts that confront every hearer: two ways, two trees, two confessions, and two builders. Pastor Nate walks through each pairing, showing how Jesus calls disciples to enter the narrow gate of the gospel, follow true followers of Christ rather than plausible-sounding false teachers, refuse the self-deception of mistaking spiritual activity for genuine relationship with Jesus, and move from merely admiring the Sermon on the Mount to actually practicing it. With pastoral warmth and theological depth, this Sunday sermon invites listeners to step off the broad path of the majority and onto the good, hard, life-giving way of the King—a way founded on the rock of Christ's own words and sustained by his all-sufficient grace.Link to Sermon NotesLink to Discussion Questions
This week, Pastor Nate continued our journey through Romans 9:18–33, reminding us of the powerful truth that God is both perfectly just and incredibly merciful. We were challenged to see that God delights in showing mercy to those who truly want Him. Righteousness is not something we achieve on our own—it is by faith and faith alone. No amount of effort or good works can earn a right standing with God; it is received by trusting in Jesus. At the same time, we were reminded that God displays His authority through both His justice and His mercy. He is sovereign over all things, and His ways are always right—even when we don't fully understand them. The question we were left with is deeply personal:Are you trusting in Jesus for your righteousness, or are you relying on yourself? This passage calls us to lay down self-reliance, trust fully in Christ, and live in awe of the mercy we've been given.
Pastor Nate brings the message, "Headship, Hair, and Cultural Expressions” from 1 Corinthians 11:2-26. Based on this passage, should we hand out head-scarves at the door for all women?
What if the baptism in the Holy Spirit was never meant to stay in the room? In week two of our Pentecost series, Pastor Nate brings “Fire & Shadow” from the book of Acts. Through Freedom, Influence, Renewal, and Effect, this sermon shows that the fire of Pentecost was never meant to stay in the upper room—it was meant to flow into the streets. It's about more than a moment—it's about walking in the power of the Holy Spirit every day. The fire falls on you, but the shadow reveals what's flowing from you. ____ Partner with New Tribe: Give | https://newtribe.church/give/ ____ Connect with New Tribe: Website | https://newtribe.church/comeexperience/ Instagram | / newtribechurch Facebook | / newtribechurch YouTube | / newtribechurch
