Wow, don't know where this episode came from. This podcast truly came from the heart. It shares some of my journey of being brave enough to be me this year and contains a huge amount of reflection and compassion for everything this year has thrown at us. Enjoy listening!
In today's episode Caroline talks to Lucy Rowett about confidence, intimacy, sex and how to fully acknowledge and embrace your desires and your body. In this episode I talk all about the fact that a lot of people aren't feeling their social media at this time of year, good boundaries over the Christmas period and how you can kickstart your 2021 with something excited I have planned. Message me on social media to get your 2021 off to a great start. Facebook: @CarolineThompsonCoach Instagram: @Carolinethompsoncoach
Today's episode is all about reclaiming the question, 'Who does she think she is?'. Keri Jarvis is the Audacity Coach, leading a reclamation of “who does she think she is?!”. She supports and inspires women to put their energy into becoming more of who they really are, rather than managing the way other people perceive them to be. In this episode we talk about having the confidence to know who you are, her journey to challenging the patriarchy and the impact you're having even when you think no one is listening.
Today's episode features Suzy Ashworth, a Quantum Transformation Coach, as she shares a profound and powerful approach to setting and achieving goals. She also shares how to move past the fear of not achieving your goals so that you can create the life and business of your dreams.
In this episode I have some words of wisdom and some strong advice about your underwear drawer. Your underwear is giving you a strong message every single morning - it's time to make sure it's a positive one! A few small tweaks to your underwear could have a huge knock-on effect in your business, which will have a huge impact on your life. Worth a try right?
Julie Creffield has turned an anonymous plus size running blog into a six figure coaching business and in this episode she shares her how, her what and her why. We discuss the bravery required to become 'the most photographed fat woman in lycra in the world', the courage required to start a business after being made redundant at seven months pregnant and the commitment to serving her tribe that enabled her to double her income during a global pandemic (as a single mum with a seven year old).
Where do I even start? This one took two and a half months to complete - the fear was real, the excuses were not, and some serious shifts (and coaching) got me through! This is a great episode where I share with you the journey I went on, from deciding to do something, doing it halfheartedly and then going all in!
Sick of seeing memes and 'funny' quotes about fat people during lockdown, Jayne shares her thoughts on size, standing on stage and building her business. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. This is well worth a listen whether you relate to being 'fat' or not as we explore how it feels to be on the 'other side' of the comments.
In this episode I am joined by Ruby Coupe a.k.a Dotty Delightful, a spiritual artist, natural living tarot reader, empowerment champion and joy maker bringing wisdom, nature and positivity to people’s lives. I challenge you to listen to this episode without smiling as we discuss signs from the universe, manifesting your dream partner and wearing bloomers!
A raw and honest interview with Emma Cottam, speaker, author and creator of the Positive Wellbeing Zine for Mums. We talked about how Emma started her business when her baby was just four weeks old to help her get through those first few months with a newborn and how sharing her story of postnatal depression helps other mums realise they are not alone.
This fab interview with Rachel Foy was recorded at the end of March 2020, at the start of lockdown in the UK. The unusual circumstances led us to discussing emotions around food and fear during Covid-19. We also chatted about identity in relation to food, weight and body image and how this impacts self esteem and confidence. Rachel shared her story and how it all starts (and continues) with self awareness.
I'm guessing you've spend years subconsciously conforming to labels you were 'given' as a child. Sometimes positive, sometimes negative and sometimes not all that helpful at all. In this episode I explore what it means to live by these labels and how you can decide whether to let them hinder or help you on your journey to being brave enough to be you.
You know when you are feeling brave and you just go ahead and do something? Well, this one time in Mexico, I was feeling brave (and maybe a little bit reckless) and I sent a message that brought up feelings of fear and trepidation and that ended with feelings of joy, liberation and empowerment. All the feelings - and it feels amazing!
This episode was an honest (and funny) chat with Ruth Kudzi about what it is like to step in to who you are, be honest about who you are, and owning both the things you can do and the things you can't! We talk about earning more than your partner, resting b*tch face, and the reason we might fear success, as well as how you can move away from worrying that you might trigger someone or attract negativity online (and all of this from the woman who didn't have social media profiles for the first six months of being in business!)
What could possibly happen at a business event marketed as "3 days of pure business, marketing and mindset magic" that terrified me, filled me with dread, made me want to run away whilst also wanting to show up fully, embrace the opportunity and give it all that I've got? Self-conscious? Tick. Vulnerable? Tick. Brave enough to be me? You got it!
For 25 years I had been telling myself "I can't do it, I won't do it, I don't do it." and then I did it! I did it for a bit of fun, I did it to push myself out of my comfort zone, I did it to walk my talk. That first night, I couldn't breathe, I was shaking, I was terrified, but not only was I brave enough to do it, I really enjoyed it!
In this bonus episode I share my story of struggling to conceive, birth, miscarriage and baby loss. I want to help break the taboo around these sensitive subjects so that you know you are not alone. It is estimated that 1 in 7 couples may have difficulty conceiving and 1 in 4 pregnancies may end in loss but these figures may actually be much higher as we are still not talking about them. This may not be an easy listen but if it helps one woman then it is worth it. If you need help and support around any of these issues please talk to someone, a friend, family, your G.P. or one of many support groups or charities that are available - you do not need to suffer in silence.
On this week's episode, I am talking to Sue Tappenden from Headspace for Change, and we cover everything from IVF and ectopic pregnancy to divorce and redundancy. Being brave enough to be her, lost Sue her job and she vowed at that point to never work for anyone else - twelve years later and she never has! We also talk about how to look at where you are (or are not) getting support and how to ask for it!
In this episode of Brave Enough to Be You I chat with The Baby Reflux Lady, Aine Homer. Aine left her job to start her business and ploughed all of their savings into publishing a book. During this interview we talk about having the courage to post controversial content on social media and how calling yourself an author takes some getting used to!
This episode of Brave Enough to Be You features the World's first and only Comparison Coach, Lucy Sheridan. We talk bonsais, bailiffs, boundaries and what it takes to be brave in the online world. Lucy also shares how setting boundaries around networking helped her - and others - differentiate between coffee and coaching.
In this debut episode of Brave Enough to Be You I explore my journey of being brave enough to be me and how that can help you. I discuss how every single person we ever come in to contact with has an effect on us, whether that be positive or negative and how we always have a choice about whether we take that on or not. Stepping in to who I am meant to be does take bravery and the journey isn't over yet.
A podcast to encourage you to stop holding back, playing safe and staying small and instead, step up, stop hiding, and be brave enough to be you.
