I found this quote (from unknown) that said - “I fell in love with this quote: ‘Discipline is remembering who you said you wanted to be.'” This is short, yet so powerful. As soon as I saw it, read it and it sunk in - I was reminded instantly about doing things to help make myself be better in order to not only go after the things I want to do in my life, but also to help those that I love be their best too! Let this quote sink into your heart and then see what you are feeling & thinking. Thanks for listening. Dr. Shila Patel, a retired psychiatrist, has made significant contributions to the field of mental health empowerment through her writing and multimedia engagement. Her work, available on her website, www.drshilapatel.com, includes three influential books, podcasts, and videos that aim to help individuals take control of their mental well-being. Dr. Patel's perspective on mental health empowerment emphasizes understanding the complex interplay of societal, relational, and familial dynamics, especially in the context of pre- and post-COVID situations. I found an interesting post that got me thinking a little bit where Mindful Maven (@mindfulmaven_) showed this image of glass where there was a line in the middle. Above the line, it said “People who wonder whether the glass is half empty or half full, miss the point.” On the bottom half of the glass, it says “The glass is refillable.” I've always been a self-described “glass half full” kind of guy. What I guess I was missing was the fact that the glass (my glass, my life, me, etc.), was always still there to be refilled. All parts of life are part of this “keep pouring” mentality. The one thing that isn't - it's time. Once it's gone, it's gone. Now, we can do things to help us maximize our time, and help ourselves to make time for the things we want to do in life. Great lessons here for me and others too. Thanks for listening. Found a great reminder Psyche Wizard (@PsycheWizard) where this thought was shared: “The quickest way to succeed is to start now and figure it out as you go. You can't learn how to drive in a parked car.” So many thoughts came to mind when I saw this. I think it's easy to imagine sitting in a parked car, sitting on a bike, on a skateboard, a motor cycle, etc., and it's not going anywhere. Or maybe it's not even running or turned on. When it comes to acting on ideas or projects, starting to move forward is a good thing. Finding out new information or getting help along the way instead of being too afraid to even put the car in drive. I've done too much sitting in a parked car at times or maybe even too afraid of unlocking the car and getting in. What about you? Anything you are hesitating about to put your car in drive? Or peddle your bike? Or simply taking a step forward to start going in the direction you want to go in? Yea… me too. Thanks for listening. I found one of the simplest pieces of advice that I need help with and maybe others need this too. From Overmind (@overmind01) this thought is shared: “Don't blame the distractions, improve your focus.” There are so many distractions in the world and in front of us, now more than ever before it seems. As stated in this episode, I clicked on a “distraction” right before I hit the record button. My focus is something that not only do I need to work on improving, I'm the only one that can do it! Again, this is on a long list of things that I know I need to keep working on. For me, there will never be a day where I don't have something to do. Thanks for listening. As if I needed another rule to follow. This one is something you will want to connect with I think and it's not that difficult to understand. From Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi) where this is shared: “The Rule of 100 - If you spend 100 hours a year in any discipline, (which is only 18 minutes a day), you'll be better than 95% of the world in that discipline. Consistency is everything.” This is something that anyone can connect to any discipline or more than one discipline. Just think of the great things you can do, not to say your #1, but to make a difference with others. To have a service, product, idea, etc., that can help others - just because you had the faith and effort to have consistency in doing what lights you up! The world needs this - more people to share the things that light that spark within them. Thanks for listening. In this episode of "Transform Your Mind to Transform Your Life," Coach Myrna delves into the theme of "Motivation for Growth: How to Stay Inspired Every Day." Coach Myrna explores the critical role of mindset tools to master the mind and reveals how one's pre-set goals might unconsciously impact daily motivation. The episode hinges on the central idea that whether consciously or unconsciously, individuals derive some benefit from their current state, and thus, understanding and reconfiguring one's mindset is key to creating lasting change.Coach Myrna emphasizes the power of positive thought and mindset development, drawing on the scripture Philippians 4:8 to underscore that focusing on whatever is true, noble, and lovely can transform your life. She discusses the importance of filtering thoughts through a positive lens, replacing negative thoughts with empowering affirmations, and continually guarding the mind's gate against negativity. This episode is a mini guide on how to direct one's thoughts with intent and purpose to manifest desired outcomes in life.Notable Quotes:"Your mindset is your operating system. If it is sluggish, then you just want to lay around not motivated to do anything.""Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, think about such things.""Your brain cannot focus on a negative and a positive thought at the same time.""Set your mind, save your peace. Getting your mind right is not a one-time event. It is a daily practice."To advertise on our podcast, visit https://advertising.libsyn.com/TransformyourMindor email kriti@youngandprofiting.com See this video on The Transform Your Mind YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/@MyhelpsUs/videosTo see a transcripts of this audio as well as links to all the advertisers on the show page https://myhelps.us/Follow Transform Your Mind on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/myrnamyoung/Follow Transform Your mind on Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063738390977Please leave a rating and review on iTunes https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/transform-your-mind/id1144973094 https://podcast.feedspot.com/personal_development_podcasts/

Saw an interesting list from Book Therapy (@Book_therapy223) where they shared these six items. “Discipline is not hard. You just don't know these secrets: 1) Find your why, 2) Routine is Important, 3) Mindset Matters, 4) Celebrate Small Wins, 5) Visualize, and 6) Reset, Don't Quit. These items got me thinking about a lot of things that I want to keep working on so that I can be at my best. I keep reminding myself that when I'm at my best - so many other people benefit too. Remember, this list is something you can totally take on yourself - you and the one in the mirror of course. Thanks for listening.
