“Send Coach John a message”Found this gem from Kylie Riordan (@mindfulheal)  and it's one that I haven't really connected with this thought before. This is the new connection to kindness for me.  “Kindness is loaning someone your strength instead of reminding them of their weakness.”  I love this thought.  Encouraging others, lifting them up; more than pointing out something they might need to fix.  I think there is a lot of pointing out the faults of others.  What is more strengthening to others, is taking this higher and different “road” in interacting with them. One thing for sure, I need to do more of this for sure.  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpectsuccess/   on Twitter / “X”:  @coachtosuccess   and on Instagram at:  @coachjohndaly  - My YouTube Channel is at: Coach John Daly.   Email me at: CoachJohnDalyPodcast@gmail.com     You can also head on over to https://www.coachtoexpectsuccess.com/ and get in touch with me there on my homepage along with checking out my Top Book list too.  Other things there on my site are being worked on too.  Please let me know that you are reaching out to me from my podcast.  ** I would appreciate anyone to try clicking on the top of the show notes where it says "Send us a text" to leave a few thoughts / comments / questions.  It's a new feature that I'd like to see how it works. **

Grounded Positivity: Choosing to Rise Beyond the DarknessIn a world full of "toxic positivity" that tells you to just smile through the pain, it can be hard to find real hope. True positivity isn't about ignoring life's struggles; it is the grounded, honest, and sustainable kind. It is acknowledging the hard days while still remembering that you are allowed to look forward to the future. In today's session, we explore how to retune our perspective and anchor ourselves to genuine joy. Using a calming 4-2-6 breathing practice, we will intentionally release the negative anchors of the past and the heavy weight of expectations. We take up the space we deserve, open our minds to deep relaxation, and choose to rise—not perfectly, and not without difficulty, but with courage. Find a comfortable place, drop your shoulders, and allow these reassuring truths to land in the sanctuary of your mind.Building Our Sanctuary: An Update on the "Anchored" AppI have been incredibly moved and deeply emotional over the staggering support for our upcoming mobile app, Anchored. This dedicated mindfulness space is designed to hold this entire community's journey—bringing every meditation, breathing technique, and moment of calm into one beautiful, ad-free space with a unique nighttime light mode and custom breathing systems. This project is the culmination of my life's work, born out of a desire to create a tool so that someone, somewhere, can find a spark of hope and no longer have to endure their darkness alone. A friend launched a GoFundMe campaign to help secure the development equipment needed to build it, and every single contribution brings us closer to the finish line.Become a Founding Member: If you are in a position to help us get over the line, please email your GoFundMe receipt to hello@calminganxiety.org. Whatever yesterday held, it is behind me now.""I am capable of more than I currently believe. Good things are allowed to happen to me.""I bring something to this world that no one else can. My presence, my perception, my voice are irreplaceable.""I am allowed to feel good. I am allowed to look forward. Joy is not frivolous; it is my fuel.""Today, I choose to rise—not perfectly, not without difficulty, but I choose to rise."3 Daily Caring TipsAnchor the Good: Start your morning tomorrow by identifying one specific thing you are looking forward to, no matter how small. It could be an excellent cup of coffee, a favorite track on your morning drive, or a relaxing evening ahead. Anchor yourself to something good.Observe without Fighting: When a negative thought wanders in today, simply notice it without engaging in a battle. Softly tell yourself, "There is that thought again," and allow it to drift past your mind like a cloud in the sky.Productivity-Free Joy: Intentionally do one thing today purely because it brings a smile to your face. Not because it checks off a to-do list, and not because someone else requested it, but simply because you deserve joy.Share the CalmYou just gifted yourself a beautiful pocket of stillness, and that truly is everything. If this session brought you peace, please take a moment to smile, put your hand over your heart, and love who you are. The greatest gift you can offer is to share this episode with someone else who might be looking for a way out of the darkness today.Let's reconnect tomorrow. Smile often, and to your beautiful self... be kind.

“Send Coach John a message”I found a fantastic reminder from Overmind (@overmind01) where this little gem was shared with everyone:  “8 billion people on Earth.  Almost none know you exist.  The few who do are too busy to care.  Relax.  No one's watching.  Go build your life.”  So much to digest out of these few sentences.  Reminding ourselves that just about everyone on this planet doesn't know who we are.  There are some good people - a few that do know us and are pulling for us, but that number is really small. Realizing that all of these people really don't have any say in what we want to do with our lives. It's up to us. We can't let outside “noise” get in the way of what we do with our lives. **

"Just think positive." "Everything happens for a reason." "Focus on the good." If you've ever received that advice during a genuinely hard time and felt — not comforted, but somehow worse — you were not being ungrateful. You were accurately detecting something that doesn't actually help. This episode draws the line between toxic positivity and genuine hope. Not because positivity is bad, but because the forced, bypassing version of it is a specific kind of harm — one that asks people to perform okayness rather than actually move through difficulty. And in a world that keeps producing genuinely hard things to live through, knowing the difference matters enormously. If you've ever been curious about what the research *actually* says, I'm getting into Barbara Fredrickson's broaden-and-build theory of positive emotions, and drawing on two decades of coaching, and my own frank relationship with what it means to hold hope without lying. You'll leave this episode with a clear framework for telling the difference between positivity that helps and positivity that harms — and a grounded, evidence-based understanding of what genuine hope actually looks like when the thing you're hoping about is genuinely uncertain. This is not an anti-positivity episode. It is a pro-honesty episode. And it might change how you talk to yourself on the hardest days.

This one is a reminder of some pure gold basics in life. It comes from football coach, Dabo Swinney who said, "It's the optimists who change the world." Success starts with your mindset and what you do every single day. A bad attitude holds you back. A great attitude takes you forward. "The only disability in life is a bad attitude." We all have this disability at times throughout our lives, along with others. Keep trying to be your best as I am doing the same. I'm reminding myself that my effort and attitude are the only things that I can really control - I need to keep working on these for sure. **

When Gus was diagnosed with autism as a toddler, Harry at first denied it.  He was the definition of a tough sports dad, “There is no way my DNA would allow for this to happen.” But at a crucial moment, he pushed his ego aside to become the “warrior dad” in order to support his wife, Michele, and his family - and now fathers at conferences and events across the nation.Harry wrote his book, From Struggle to Strength: A Father's Journey with Autism and the Power of Hope and Positivity,  so other dads can learn from his mistakes, work with their family to support their child on the spectrum and their successful development, see how Gus is thriving  - including becoming a recent college graduate!- with the support of both parents, and ultimately understand that an empowered mindset drives lasting growth and fulfillment in the journey with autism. From Struggle to Strength: A Father's Journey with Autism and the Power of Hope and Positivity By Harry Psaroshttps://www.amazon.com/Struggle-Strength-Fathers-Journey-Positivity/dp/1958481254https://www.harrypsaros.com/Watch our Tressa Tries…video series on YouTube here.https://www.yinzaregood.com/FOLLOW US on social media:Instagram: @yinzaregood Facebook: @YinzAreGoodHave a story of generosity or kindness to share with us? Send us Fan Mail In this part of the podcast, Spencer Jones encourages listeners to define what “living life to the max” truly means for themselves. He shares his own evolving perspective—from initially focusing on passions like outdoor activities and kayak fishing, to later realizing it also includes health, presence with loved ones, financial freedom, and inner peace. He emphasizes that this vision is personal and should be clearly defined, refined over time, and protected from external pressures, so you can live in alignment with who you truly are and what matters most to you.

“Send Coach John a message”There has been a young lady who is in the battle of her life with ALS, that I've been following for a few years. A recent post I saw was her taking questions that she is answering about her journey. Her name is Sarah Nauser (@SarahNauser) and her bio on her Twitter / X account says this: “Dominating ALS one day at a time since 2018. Retired Police Officer. “Love the life you live and live the life you love” Go Royals! #FightLikeAGirl“  She answered a question “are you afraid?” and her answer sure does get me thinking about things in my life and offering me a different perspective as to how I need to change things as far as I handle my troubles.  She reminds me in her post about the importance of having “faith over fear”. The lessons she offers from what she's going through, I sure can use them for what I'm going through - simply because my battles are nothing on the scale of seriousness & life altering as she has. She is battling every single day. If she can do that, I know I can do the same. Life is full of inspirational stories and lessons for all of us. Keep seeking them and also don't forget your story, actions, your life - all can help others too. As usual, the world needs these lessons more now than ever!! **
