C & B the Light

Truth Be Told part 4 is here! This week, C & B dispute three new lies centered around the idea that humankind is greater, wiser, or more powerful than our God. Sometimes it is easy to become stuck in a mindset where you think that you know better than God or that you can do things without God, but we're here to tell you that God is almighty, all-powerful, and all-knowing. Listen as C & B shine light on the greatness of our Lord and the help that He grants when you ask, seek, or knock. 

In the 3rd edition to the Truth Be Told series, C & B talk about two powerful lies in Christians' lives. To start, think about these questions: Will I experience struggles? Will my problems disappear?  C & B take hold of the idea that Christians must hide their struggles and doubts and prove that it is, in fact, a LIE. Christ does not call us to hide our hurt, but rather to share with Him and others. Further, C & B chat about the idea that Christians have no problems because God makes all of them disappear. Spoiler: that's a LIE! Christians experience problems just as frequently as any other human walking this earth! C & B are back for part 2 of our Truth Be Told series. In this episode, the pair combats more lies that are part of Christian culture or have been created by the enemy. C & B challenge to dig deeper into their true emotions, actions, and expectations this week! Do you act the part of a Christian by putting forth a false appearance of happiness? When you feel like something is "right," is it truly right or are you being deceived? Do you hold unrealistic expectations for yourself in that you must be extraordinary on Earth to please our King above? It can be easy to fall into the trap of practicing your spirituality individually, but C & B want to remind you that joining together and uniting in giving thanks and showing gratitude to our Lord is so powerful! C & B have reached the milestone of episode 20! How crazy that you've been listening to us spread the light of the Lord for TWENTY EPISODES!! This week, we couldn't disappoint, so the duo was back together and excited to chat about giving thanks through praise. Throughout this Thanksgiving season, C & B challenge you to not only give thanks for the blessings that the Lord has given you, but to also praise the Lord for His greatness. C & B welcome you to another episode of our podcast! This week's episode is unique because C is making a solo debut. Due to some family circumstances, B is spending some much needed time with her loved ones. Send her your love and send up your prayers to the Lord for her! But C couldn't let you go another week without hearing about the Lord's light. With it being November, the month of Thanksgiving, C & B are starting a new series all about giving thanks. Join C this week to hear about focusing on gratitude personally and specifically!

C & B jump into episode 18 to chat about the reality of anxiety. As Christians, anxiety is painted as a sin, and while this is true in some cases, the scientific reasoning that C & B recognize also identifies anxiety as a mental health disorder. The duo discusses the very real differences between the sin and disorder of anxiety. C & B also share some steps to freeing yourself from the anxiety that captures you. While our minds may be battlefields to harmful and distressing thoughts, our hearts can be Spirit-filled. Give those anxieties to the Lord because He cares for you. 

C & B tackle the difficult topic of contentment in Episode 17! While both are aware that they have not reached a level of contentment, C & B are in constant pursuit of ultimately accepting what the Lord has given them, rather than being in a state of want all the time. As you listen to this week's episode, C & B challenge you to evaluate areas in your life that you are dissatisfied with. From there, determine if that dissatisfaction is something you should bring to the board or if that dissatisfaction is coming for a place of discontentment. Remember, you have an eternity in the presence of Jesus, so you can be content right here, right now.

Moving on from the Fruits of the Spirit series, C & B couldn't leave you hanging! This week's topic may sound a bit familiar, but no worries! C & B have a unique take :) Love was the final Fruit of the Spirit that the duo covered, but there is more love in our world than God's love. C & B tackle earthly love as they share about singleness and relationships and what that looks like in the life of a Christian. C's singleness and B's relationship make for interesting perspectives that you'll definitely want to hear! 

What an exciting week! C & B have reached a major milestone with episode 15, and they have also finished their Fruits of the Spirit series! Last but not least, C & B tackle the topic of love. However, this episode is not about any other relationship than your relationship with the Lord! The greatest love is the love that God and Jesus have for us, and from that, we can learn a lot. Listen as C & B shed light on God's great, eternal love, and join them this week by challenging yourself to love as God loves. 

C & B are so pumped to bring you a packed episode this week. Episode 14 is a continuation of the Fruits of the Spirit series. In part 6 of this series, C & B take on a large task as they talk about THREE fruits of the Spirit! Tune in to hear this duos take on gentleness, goodness, and kindness. Find ways every day that you can be gentle, good, and kind like Jesus!

This week's episode is lucky number 13, but C & B have been feeling less than lucky. C's COVID test from last week unfortunately came back positive, placing her in isolation, and B in quarantine. However, C & B won't let a little alone time get them feeling down because they are full of the Lord's JOY. Part 5 of the Fruits of the Spirit series is here, and this week, joy was speaking to C & B as they brainstormed episode topics! Join C & B for episode 13 as they count it all joy. 

Yet again, C finds herself in quarantine, but that can't stop C & B from spreading the light! This week the gals have some exciting news to share! Tune in to listen to the details about their baptisms! As each have chosen to commit their life to Christ, they took the next step in their faith walk by getting baptized. C & B jump into self-control this week for part 4 of their fruits of the Spirit series. Self-control is a rather tough topic, but your hosts aim to share some unique perspectives. As we tackle resisting temptation, C & B get excited about how our love for the Lord can satisfy all needs, which leaves the enemy helpless! C & B are back with episode 10! After C was in quarantine, the pair could not wait to be back together and share the light of the Lord this week. Continuing with our Fruits of the Spirit series, C & B explore faithfulness and how Christians today can apply this attribute. We hope you faithful listeners enjoy this episode on faithfulness!

These girls know about the challenges that we face in life though and understand that finding peace is a bit more difficult than it's made out to be. In fact, this week was an emotional one for C, and she reveals a tragic event that happened recently. However, the Lord was able to grant her peace, and that's the true beauty of loving our Lord. 

C & B reached a mile stone with episode 8 marking 2 months of their podcasting journey! In this episode, the duo dives into a challenging and convicting fruit of the spirit. They talk all about patience and how the Lord calls us to put our hope in Him when we become impatient. The fruit of patience is definitely not easy; C & B acknowledge that but also provide some practical tips to increase your patience day-to-day. 

In this unique episode, C & B steer away from their usual serious and deep topics that relate back to the Lord and their faith. With C just getting back from a long vacation, her and B wanted to take some time to think through some epic content for the next couple weeks. However, these hosts did not want you to go without a little light this week! Listen to this dysfunctional duo as they share some of their outrageous personalities and their favorite bloopers! 

After chatting about changing your mindset, C & B recognize that not every situation is so easy to turn into a positive. More often than not, people receive negative feedback or criticism. In episode 6, C & B give helpful tips and tricks to change your reaction to that negativity.

C & B share ways to change your mindset and find more positivity in your life. These girls believe that positivity is light, so the signature catchphrase, "Spread the Light," also translates to, "Spread the Positivity!" How can you change your perspective and be more positive? 

Episode 4 dives into failure and how that is a real fear for many people. Take a short quiz with the duo to learn about your fear of failure. Then learn more about C & B, and how they have truly experienced fear that has stopped them from reaching their goals. The reality is that everyone is afraid to fail, but you can choose to hide in fear or you can dare to try something new.

This week, C & B team up to talk about body image and how that can lead to insecurities in lots people of all ages. Both share personal details about their insecurities related to how they look, but also give helpful advice to listeners to combat those negative thoughts. As always, the duo aims to spread light, and this week, C & B encourage listeners to use positive self-talk!
