Happy Black History Month! In honour of Black History Month, we wanted to have a conversation surrounding the phenomenal black individuals that changed history and the current issues black people face today. Last week we lost the one and only Cicely Tyson and during this episode we reflect on her life and amazing career. Lastly, Dj 47 and Gilly Banks have an important conversation on the struggles black people face in Canadian media and the T.I. and Tiny allegations.

In this weeks episode, DJ 47 and Gilly Banks catch up on all the news that happened during their short vacation break. Our friend of the show, Pop Smoke recently passed away. First off the gang would like to send their prayers to Pop's family and loved ones, during this tragic time. During Pop's death a lot of controversy escalated, regarding if rappers should "check-in" while visiting new cities. Lil Boosie recently made headlines, while condemning Dwayne Wade's daughter Zaza and the gang break down the real meaning behind Lil Boosie's rant. On Thursday, January 26 the world lost an icon, a hero and an outstanding role model. Kobe Bean Bryant aka "The Black Mamba" died on January 26, along with his daughter Gigi and 7 other people. On this weeks episode of Channel 47, DJ 47 wanted to commemorate the legacy of Kobe by having an 81 minute long episode. Unfortunately the gang wasn't able to complete this goal, but throughout this episode the gang made sure to talk about the life of Kobe and his ever lasting legacy. Although, this episode mostly surrounded the life of Kobe Bryant, the gang found a way to talk about all the current events that happened this week. The Grammy's, coronavirus and relationships were all highlighted on this weeks episode. Tune in tonight on Channel 47.

Keyshia Cole somehow found her way into the Podcast, which had DJ 47 and Gilly Banks discussing theories of attractiveness.
