Money, so they say, is the root of all evil today. At least that's what Pink Floyd says. Today we're watching a movie with every single living person from the 1960's. I'm pretty sure about that because the cast is enormous! In It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, a host of random people are brought together by a car accident and the ensuing news that there is a buried treasure with tremendous riches to be had. This begins a series of comedic adventures as they lie, cheat, and steal their way to find this treasure before anyone else. Greed makes us do things we wouldn't normally do in exchange for something that never satisfies, and the Bible has plenty to say about that.

In one of the greatest sports movies ever, Robert Redford plays Roy Hobbs, a man gifted with great skill that falls to temptation, loses his ability, and comes back with his gift when he gets his life in order. Sound familiar? That's a great analogue for the story of Samson! On this episode we dig into the story of one of the most famous judges of Israel and how it parallels with The Natural. Play ball!

In High Noon, Will Kane is a beloved town marshal. When an old enemy returns seeking revenge, Will goes to his friends for help, but they turn their back on him. Will is forced to face the trouble that is arriving on the noon train all alone. If we rely on only earthly things, we will always be let down and abandoned. We often abandon Christ when his path goes in a direction that scares us! In Christ we have a friend that will always stand by our side through thick and thin, even when we don't always deserve it.

Do you ever find yourself in a situation that seems to big and complicated for you? If God put you there, you are equipped to handle it because He is with you! In Galaxy Quest, actors from a sci-fi tv show find themselves in the middle of a real alien war where the technology was inspired entirely by their tv show. They feel completely out of their depth, but learn they are capable of doing great things! If you've never seen this movie, what in the world are you waiting for??!! This is a timeless classic!

In the Pixar classic movie Cars, we watch hotshot rookie race car Lightening McQueen go from an overconfident, "I can do it all on my own" lone wolf to someone who learns to swallow his pride, listen to those with more experience, and rely on others to achieve more in his life and impact the world around him. Sounds like a pretty easy Bible Study translation, doesn't it? Also we have a very special guest in my son, Sean, who watched this movie ten times a day every day when he was a tyke.

As kids, we all wanted to be big. As adults, we know that's not always the way to go. Big is about a kid that has his wish to be big granted. As believers, we all start off as children in the faith, but maturing in our beliefs is what makes the biggest impact on us and those around us.

True Love. That's what this movie is all about. And how does Westley show his true love for Buttercup? Sure he storms the castle, defeats rodents of unusual size in the fire swamp, and overcome the trials of sword, strength, and the Sicilian, but his true demonstration of love is in the form of service. As you wish. Let's look at what the Bible says about the love language of service.

The new season of Cinemass is here! For everyone new that's coming on board, WELCOME! I can't recommend the movie Big Fish enough. It is wonderful! Directed by Tim Burton and released in 2003, Big Fish is the story of a son trying to learn more about his father by exploring the reality behind the tall tales his father always told about his life. The movie stars Albert Finney, Ewan McGreggor, and Billy Crudup, with more guest stars and supporting actors than you can shake a stick at. Plus it was filmed right here in Alabama! From a Biblical point of view, we'll be using the movie to discuss the value behind telling the story of God's works in your life. Can Batman and Robin capture Zelda the Great and escape the Inescapable Doom Trap? Was Aunt Harriet released or did she plunge into a pool of burning oil? Today we'll learn the answers to those questions as well as see what the Bible says about taking advantage of another chance to do the right thing.

A mysterious villain steals exactly $100,000 from banks in Gotham each year, and now Batman and Robin are on the case. Commissioner Gordon calls for the Dynamic Duo with the famous Batsignal, so we're talking about signaling our needs to God.

The Dynamic Duo frozen stiff! With Mr Freeze on the loose, Batman not only has to fend off the villain's desire for revenge, but also recover the star pitcher of the Gotham City Eagles! Today we'll be talking about what the Bible says about how we respond to rising anger and the desire seek vengeance when others have wronged us.

The sinister snowman known as Mr Freeze has returned to Gotham City to snare the Caped Crusaders in his icy grip of revenge. What does the Bible say about revenge and the anger that spawns it?

Joker has escaped prison to exact revenge on the Comedians Hall of Fame for excluding him! Batman and his utility belt foil the Joker's plan, so Joker decides to create his own utility belt and steal the luxury cruise liner, the S.S. Gotham! We'll also talk about how the devil perverts what is good to further his schemes.

In this episode, Bruce Wayne escapes a fiery end and the Penguin's plan comes to fruition as Batman & Robin deduce that he plans to kidnap a starlet. Penguin gets away with her, but the Dynamic Duo figure out how he has been a step ahead of them and set a trap to bag this bird. We also discuss how we fight back in spiritual battles once we know how the devil operates by knowing our enemy, deducing his schemes, and positioning ourselves to fight back.

When the Penguin is released from prison, he is immediately on Batman's radar. What the Caped Crusader doesn't realize is that Penguin is using HIM to plan his next crime! We'll discuss the episode, and then talk about how the devil uses his knowledge of us to plan attacks based on our weaknesses and strengths.

In part two of the first story arc, Batman uncovers the Riddler's schemes. We'll review the episode, talk about some fun facts involving the Batmobile and the Batcave, as well as some quirks that make this episode pretty unique in the series. Then it's time to talk about how futile it is for us to try to fool God and discuss some ways to keep our relationship with Him honest.

One of the greatest TV shows of all time, Batman starts off with The Riddler, as he covers for his ultimate scheme with perfectly legal behavior. We'll talk about what happens when we cover for sin by fooling ourselves into thinking we're doing right.
