Podcast with YouTuber Jacob White

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 5, 2019 48:01

In this episode of the podcast I had the pleasure of being able to sit down with YouTuber Jacob White. Jacob, has managed to amass a whopping 133,000 subscribers on YouTube which is very impressive. He makes a variety of videos from pranks, hanging out with his friends, and even self set challenges. At first I wrongly thought it was a bit gimmicky but after watching a few of his videos I found myself glued to the screen for about an hour, says it all really. Jacob is a great guy & someone I'm very lucky and blessed to call a friend. The aim of this podcast was to understand what it's like to be a well known YouTube and to to understand more about the man behind the videos. We talk about life as a YouTuber and delve deep into his personal life as well which should be an interesting listen for those curious. In summary this is a great episode which covers so many areas of life and is very personal, so if your looking for a good listen & better experience feel free to press play on this epsiode. Finally on that note huge shoutout to Jacob White, you can find his YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6JHybmw76yHYnug7BJjSkg & as they always say subscribe to the channel! Thank you for listening, Fahren :D

Going vegan with Lyndon Tudor Maisey S2 - E4

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 3, 2019 64:17

In this episode of the podcast, I had the honour of having vegan activist and total badass Lyndon Tudor Maisey on the show. It was only a couple of months ago I used to eat meat and have other animal products, however I have made the shift to being vegan. Why? Because of people like Lyndon. He has taught me a number of things from the ethics of killing animals, the nutritional benefits of being vegan and why our planet relies on more people eating less and ideally no meat. So this podcast was created within 1 week of me being vegan so my experience is more concrete now, in fact I will be making a short individual podcast in the coming days talking about the benefits of being vegan in my own life. Please play devils advocate we need this to be an open dialogue, I am not against people who eat meat at all. Although, I would recommend trying to be vegan for a short period of time and seeing how it is. Anyway, I will not hold you up with the nitty, gritty boring text it's a podcast after all. Enjoy & let me know what you think in the comment section below. Thanks, Fahren Side note: I says some stupid maybe even slightly controversial sh** in this please don't take it the wrong way if you do hear a blooper it was just in the flow of the conversation and eh you live & learn. Nothing too bad I promise, just wasn't entirely comfortable with everything I said In this episode. Nonetheless, please enjoy! Thank you, Fahren

In the second episode of season 2 we sat down with Monica Lilley and discussed with her the 21 years she has been a Vegan activist & a peace campaigner. She's a very insightful lady with a lot of knowledge on why we should all consider becoming vegan or at least consuming a lot less meat than we currently do. As with all episodes of Collective Connect we try see things from multiple angles and play the devils advocate in why someone would even want to bother becoming vegan and questioning all the reasons why it may be better to keep eating meat, so it's worth the listen if you'd like to hear the basis for a holistic conversation around becoming vegan which is an ever growing movement 'The plant based lifestyle.' In this episode we discuss: - Monica's 21 years of campaigning, where it started & where it's going - Attitudes and viewpoints towards being vegan and the plant based lifestyle - Why one we would even bother becoming vegan - Questioning whether being a vegan is even healthy/nutritious enough - How to become a vegan & make meals which are actually filling and tasty - How to potentially increase the number of people who are on a plant based diet - Who decided cows milk was drinkable? - How is becoming a vegan going to benefit me? - Plus more As with all episodes let us know what you think in the comment section below, your point of view matters and it goes a long way in developing the conversation about whether more of us should become vegan, find the middle ground or not become vegan at all.
