The American Red Cross has declared a severe blood shortage after the nationwide flu outbreak and widespread snowfall across the country. They say the national blood supply has fallen 35% over the past month with 350 blood drives from Oklahoma to Maine were cancelled because of the winter storm, which would have collected 10,000 units of blood. FOX's Tonya J. Powers speaks with Dr. Courtney Lawrence, Division Chief Medical Officer of the American Red Cross, who says the shortage significant and is asking folks in good health who can drive safely to a donation center to do so. In this episode of A Whole New Level, Christopher Gardner, PhD, joins Mike to discuss his decades in nutrition research, the challenges of conducting randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on diet, and how to communicate complex science to the public. Gardner has led some of the most rigorous research ever comparing dietary approaches in real-world conditions, so his insights about what works (cutting processed food and sugar) and what doesn't (obsessing about macronutrients) are worth a listen. Sign Up to Get Your Free Ultimate Guide to Glucose: https://levels.link/wnlIn this episode, we cover:What a nutritional interventionist is – someone who studies people who are asked to change their diet, tracking them and taking samples to see what might have changed. How to square widely-accepted lessons about nutrition (i.e., junk food=bad) with the high degree of individuality in diets that work. The concept of "equipoise" in study design, which means making sure both diets being compared are well-represented versions of that diet (e.g., a "kick butt diet A and a crappy diet B" is avoided). The dilemma of communicating single-study results to the public and the role of the Netflix documentary on Gardner's famous twin study in making science engaging.Dr. Gardner's experience on the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee and the methodology used to reach conclusions. The focus on ultra-processed foods and the need to message the consensus points of eating more whole foods and vegetables, and avoiding added sugar and refined grains. The learnings from the DIETFITS study, which compared low-carb and low-fat diets among 600 people for a year, and why there was more variation among people within a diet than between the two diets.

Show Notes: Jason Baumgarten is a partner at Spencer Stuart where he is also the global head and CEO of board practice. He assists businesses in all sectors to identify and evaluate CEOs who motivate senior leadership teams to reach their full potential. Additionally, he assists boards with CEO succession planning, director recruitment, and identifying future leaders. How to Join a For-profit Board Jason talks about the range of roles on a board and the specific roles a board might be looking to fill. He explains that the specificity of board roles varies based on the scale and maturity of the organization, using a real example of a board search he is currently involved in. Jason discusses how sophisticated boards often have specific requirements for board members, such as industry experience, geographic expertise, and specific skill sets. Identifying and Defining Board Roles When asked about the various categories of board roles, such as finance, data analytics, and HR, Jason explains that the most common request is for recently or actively retired CEOs, followed by CFOs with specific finance experience. He highlights the importance of understanding the nature and type of business the company is in, such as regulated industries, capital-light businesses, or capital-heavy businesses. Board Member Etiquette Jason outlines the main drivers for wanting to be on a board: prestige and the desire to be helpful. He explains the concept of "noses in, fingers out" in governance, emphasizing the importance of board members being helpful but not overly involved. He also discusses the range of compensation for board members, from stipends to significant annual fees, and advises against depending on board compensation as a primary source of income. He stresses the importance of being willing to fire oneself from a board to provide objective advice to the CEO. The Reality of Joining a Board for Management Consultants Jason advises not to limit aspirations and suggests using a simple litmus test: "if the company wouldn't hire you as a top executive, they probably won't consider you for a board role." He explains the importance of nonprofit boards, both fundraising and operating boards, and how they can provide valuable experience and networking opportunities. Jason discusses the potential for board roles in small private companies, large private companies, and public companies, emphasizing the importance of regional connections and unique experiences. The Role of Executive Search Firms in Board Recruitment Jason explains that search firms are often involved in board searches for public or pre-IPO companies and large private equity firms. He advises building relationships with search firms and being responsive and helpful when they reach out for market intelligence or advisory work. Jason also shares the importance of having a network of firms that work in your industry or location and how advisory work can lead to board opportunities. How Boards Vet Prospective Members The conversation turns to the process of being vetted and evaluated for a board role, including interviews, background checks, and social media history. Jason explains that some boards generally recruit with a lighter touch than other roles, but private equity and regulated boards may conduct more thorough diligence. He advises candidates to ask about the board's process, including the last board member hired and the steps involved in the recruitment process. He also emphasizes the importance of meeting all board members and ensuring a good fit in terms of personality and interests. The Commitment Reality of Being on the Board Jason talks about the typical time commitment for board members, including meetings, committee calls, and ad hoc time with the CEO. He explains the importance of understanding the size of board decks and the amount of preparation required for each meeting. Jason also advises candidates to be patient and persistent, as the process of getting on a board can take years and is often unpredictable. Identifying Risks to Board Members When asked about the risks involved in accepting a board position and the importance of D&O insurance, Jason recommends consulting with a D&O insurance broker to understand the market and ensure appropriate coverage. He advises candidates to be aware of any litigation or regulatory risks associated with the board and to seek legal advice if necessary. Jason also emphasizes the importance of understanding the board's D&O policy and ensuring that board members are covered appropriately. Final Thoughts and Advice Jason reiterates the importance of understanding the time commitment and potential disruptions that can arise. He advises candidates to be patient and persistent, as the process of getting on a board can take years. Jason shares a story about a former CISO who became a sought-after board member, illustrating the unpredictability of the process and the importance of perseverance. First episode of 2026 and damn it feels good to be back. There were several hurdles that had to be overcome to make it back to this point but we here! Thank you for always rocking with your boy!In today's episode, the focus is on energy and being mindful of the type of energy we are putting out. Why is that important? I've noticed in my own life that when I intentionally move about through each day with a specific type of energy, the day itself tends to follow that type of vibe. Over time I've come to realize that choosing to put out good energy, usually ensures that good energy returns to me. Not always but even just the simple fact that we can choose the energy we want to give to the world means that we have a large semblance of control in our own life. There are a lot of outside forces that we will have to contend with in order to maintain the energetic frequency of our choosing but if we work at it, just like anything else we work at, we can get better at it. This year and moving forward, I am making it a point of emphasis in my life to be mindful of my energy, my actions, my words, my thoughts and everything else that's within my personal control. As always, I plan to share the progress, the lessons and give as much value to you that I can.I appreciate you taking the time to rock with me and I look forward to connecting a lot more often with yall throughout the year!Big Love,CL The SourceFollow CL on all these platforms below for all of the latest updates to the brand:https://linktr.ee/CL_TheSourceTwitter: @CL_TheSourceTik Tok: @CL_TheSourceFacebook: Chris Limcaco#wellness #selfdevelopment #spirituality #life #mindfulness #mentalhealth #health #fitness #motivation #meditation #selfcare #selflove #recovery #rest #healthylifestyle #holistichealth #yoga #wellbeing #inspiration #mindset #positivevibes #selfimprovement #gratitude #happiness #personaldevelopment #selfawareness #growth #transformation #mindbodysoul #wellnessjourney #healing #lifecoach #nutrition #energy #balance #selfhelp #mentalhealthawareness #wellnesscoach #mindfulnessmeditation #mentalwellness #therapy #healthandwellness #selfhealing #mindfulnesspractice #bodymindspirit #selfempowerment #holistichealing #stress #anxiety #depression #positivity #mindfulnessmoment #wellnesstips #mindfulnesscoach #healthtips #wellnessblogger #fitnessmotivation #healthylife #healthandfitness #fitnessjourney #workoutmotivation #fitspiration #motivationmonday #wellnesswarrior #yogaeverydamnday #fitfam #healthyhabits #healthymindset #mindfulnessmatters #healingjourney #mentalhealthmatters #selflovejourney #inspirationalquotes #personaltransformation #selfgrowth #positivethoughts #mindfulnessmovement #wellnesscommunity #spiritualawakening #lifestyle #wellnessgoals #selfimprovementjourney #wellnesscoachlife #selfcaretips #mindfulnessliving #lifestyleblogger #motivationalquotes #selfacceptance #healthyeating #healthyfood #fitlife #mindfulnessmomentum #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #mindfulnesstraining #healthychoices #fitnesslifestyle #healthandwellnesscoach #mentalhealthrecovery #wellnesswednesday #mentalhealthsupport #wellnessadvocate #healthyhabitsforlife #mindfulnessmonday #mindfulnessretreat #healthybodyhealthymind #healthandhappiness #wellnessquote #spiritualgrowth #mentalhealthjourney #mentalwellnessmatters #wellnessjourneybegins #selfhealingjourney #inspirational #mindfulnessquotes #mentalhealthquotes #healthylifestyletips #positiveattitude #mindfulnesstechnique #healthymindhealthybody #wellnessforlife #lifestylechange #wellnessmindset #mindfulnessdaily #spiritualjourney #mindfulnesscoachlife #selfhelpquotes #healthandwellnessjourney #wellnessthatworks #selfcarefirst

Somewhere in the multiverse, a cleric just whispered "I prepared Bless," and three dice immediately rolled higher out of pure fear. Because clerics aren't "the healbot," they're the divine Swiss Army knife: buffer, debuffer, front-liner, artillery, investigator, walking lie detector, and occasionally the person who politely asks a demon to leave and the demon actually does. Today we're building clerics from levels 1–10: how to pick your domain, what to prepare, how to stop wasting actions, and how to make your table say, "Wait… clerics can do that?" Show notes Cleric identity at levels 1–10: You're a full caster with armor, a strong action economy toolkit, and some of the best "party-wide value per spell slot" in the game. Choosing a Domain (Subclass) with intent What each domain wants to do in combat (frontline, blaster, controller, support, utility). How domain spells shape your "default prep list." The hidden question: "Do I want to solve problems with my action, my bonus action, or my reaction?" Ability scores and build priorities Wisdom as your engine (save DCs, prepared spells, key features). Constitution for concentration survivability. Strength vs Dexterity depending on armor and weapon plans. Armor, weapons, and "being accidentally hard to kill" Light/medium/heavy armor considerations. Shield math and when it's worth it. Weapon use: when it's a trap, when it's correct, and how cantrips change the calculus. Cantrips that actually matter Core combat cantrips (and why "I guess I'll swing my mace" is usually a cry for help). Utility cantrips that quietly win sessions. Spell preparation that doesn't make you cry Your "always-good" staples (buffs, heals, control, utility). How to prep for unknown adventuring days without over-prepping niche tools. Concentration discipline: the real cleric skill. Channel Divinity: use it early, use it often Turning Undead and its situational dominance. Domain Channel Divinity options as mid-tier power spikes. How Channel Divinity changes your "resource rhythm" between short rests. Level-by-level power spikes (1–10) L1: Domain + armor + Bless = "party performance enhancement plan" L2: Channel Divinity arrives (and suddenly your subclass has teeth) L3: 2nd-level spells broaden your problem-solving L5: 3rd-level spells are the "cleric becomes a headline" moment L6–8: subclass features + improved survivability + cantrip/weapon upgrades L9–10: 5th-level spells and consistent encounter impact Table role: how to be a cleric without becoming the babysitter Healing as a tool, not a lifestyle. Preventing damage and ending fights faster as the "real healing." Coordinating with your party so your buffs land where they matter. Key Takeaways Start with your cleric job description Pick one primary role and one secondary role: Support/Buffer (primary) + Controller (secondary) Frontline (primary) + Support (secondary) Blaster (primary) + Utility/Support (secondary) Most clerics get in trouble when they try to be all of these every round. Concentration is your true hit point total A cleric who keeps concentration up is a force multiplier. A cleric who drops it every other round is a very polite person wearing armor. Practical habits: Don't stack concentration spells in your head like a wishlist—pick one plan per fight. Invest in Con saves/survivability decisions early. Position like you're important (because you are). Your "default fight plan" should fit on an index card Example templates: Support opener: Concentration buff → sustain/position → emergency heal only when it flips the encounter. Control opener: Concentration control → maintain distance/cover → punish clustering. Frontline opener: Concentration buff/control → stand where enemies hate it → force bad choices. Healing is strongest when it changes the math right now In-combat healing shines when it: Prevents an ally from going down before they lose their next turn, Buys a crucial round of actions, Keeps a key damage dealer online, Or pairs with control/positioning to stop the "down-up-down" cycle. Otherwise, healing between fights (and prevention during fights) is often more efficient. Domain spells and Channel Divinity are your build's "signature moves" If you're not using your domain's unique tools regularly, you may have picked a domain whose play pattern you don't actually enjoy. Levels 1–10 clerics win by being the most consistent person at the table You don't need perfect optimization to be great—clerics reward: Reliable concentration, Smart positioning, Prepared spells that solve common problems, And knowing when to spend resources to swing an encounter. It's 2026 Horoscopes time! Now, Joel is somewhat of a horoscope skeptic, while Hannah's favourite activity is polishing her mystic crystals… two very different schools of thought at play here. No spoilers, but when it comes to Joel, all roads really do seem to lead back to his varicose veins. Hm. 6 Levels of Delegation with Humans and AI Are you actually running your business, or is it running you? This episode is for the person who feels like they have to be the brain for everyone they hire. If you've ever felt like it's just easier to do it yourself, or if you're treating AI like a magic eight ball instead of a teammate, we need to talk. I'm showing you exactly how to climb the ladder from Level 1 to Level 6 so you can finally stop being the bottleneck. In This Episode You'll Discover Why paying $30/hour for a "button pusher" who can't think for themselves is a waste of your money. Why free AI tools keep you stuck in Level 1 while paid versions act as a strategic brain for your business. How to stop letting data kill your creativity by delegating the heavy lifting to Level 3 systems. The secret to cloning your brand voice and SOPs so you aren't the constant bottleneck. How to move toward Level 6 agents that handle client onboarding and dinner orders while you're at swim school. Timestamps 03:45– Why AI is now as mandatory for business as a cell phone. 05:20– Level 1: Stop micromanaging the "follow the recipe" tasks. 09:19– Level 2: Research and report. Let AI build your spreadsheets. 11:40– Level 3: Moving from options to recommendations. 18:45– Level 4: "Decide and inform." Trusting your custom GPTs. 25:35– Level 5: Full agency. Systems that run without your permission. 29:20– Level 6: Owning the outcome. The holy grail of business freedom Notable Quotes: "If they are not using AI as a tool, then you are severely misled." "I don't want you treating AI like a magic eight ball where you shake it and start over every time." "Analytics is like where you go to die... it kills your creativity and overwhelms you." "You're no longer in every decision. AI is making choices with your guardrails. This is how you get your real freedom back." Book a Chat: Let's talk in real life. Transcript Welcome everybody to another episode of Bella in your business. My name is Bella Vasta. Today I'm really going to try to keep this shorter episode just because we've been getting to be so long because I've been so excited. But I have to admit this episode is another going to fire episode. I mean they all are right. Last week I want to give a big shout out. I had one of my gals say about episode 459 where I talked about social media and what was working and what you need to stop doing in 2026. She said, I freaking love this. This episode has some serious gold in it. I'll be joining the group chat finally today. I think my favorite thing is I don't have to think about being perfect and you can just be yourself and real in marketing. Another person said, and I'm telling you guys this because if you have not listened to that episode, I'm telling you, it's going to change your 2026. Please do it. Another one she literally started off, said, hashtags are stupid. They're old school and they should have went away when payphones went away. I will agree. Well, I mean, they weren't around when payphones were there, but you get the drift, right? I will agree with you there. Biggest takeaway is that everything is content and that posting to blogs, posting info like blogs is kind of a waste of time because people don't pay attention to it . and also agree that today's vibe is a real and is being real and it speaks to an individual person. says, Nicole left me a longer message. I'm not gonna read the whole entire thing to you, but guys, you have to go check out episode 459 if you haven't already. She says, I definitely am someone who struggles with social media mostly because she works two jobs, right? And she was really inspired to hear that I was ...

Kevin Green notes that the Russell 2000 is outperforming the S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Dow, driven by a rotation into value and risk-on sentiment in certain market pockets. He discusses the frothy valuations in memory chip stocks like Micron Technology (MU) and Western Digital (WDC), attributing their rise to high demand and increased pricing power. Green also analyzes JB Hunt Transport Services (JBHT) earnings, highlighting expense management but noting revenue deceleration. Finally, he touches on a recent U.S. trade deal with Taiwan, which could incentivize domestic production and reduce tariffs, potentially benefiting companies like Intel (INTC). ======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.
